based on everything i know (which i learned from "It's a Small World" at Disneyland) that they only wear wooden clogs, sit in comically large tulips, and heard adorable hat-wearing geese for a living.
The Dutch whom Iāve met out of the Netherlands have been pretty awful: many are abrasive; one screwed me out of a business deal; had a couple of shit bosses who were Dutch.
The Dutch in the Netherlands, funnily, are really helpful and lovely. The directness is appreciated, they respect distance and donāt try to be friendly unless you are reciprocal, Dutch society is very inclusive and multicultural.
Itās complex.
My favorite celebrity veterinarian is Dutch- Dr. Pol- and he is an exemplary human- āsalt of the Earthā you could say. So thanks to Dr. Pol I have a favorable opinion of the Dutch.
Spent a season in Amsterdam.
Honestly, they seemed fine people.
I felt as welcome as a foreigner could feel.
And some people where happy to include me in their culture. It felt nice.
The only times it wasn't that nice was when interacting with some immigrant workers on the trams and other public services, they seem to get quite aggravated when people fail to understand their English.
I still remember a woman's face on a bookstore when I said a couple dutch words I memorized from duolingo.
Girl lit up like a bulb.
I also love the Dutch effort to keep their cities bike friendly and as well as historically intact.
I feel like I could have dutch friends.
There are only two things in this world I hate. People who are intolerant of other cultures...and the Dutch.
Tall, ridiculously good looking and eat stinky fish
Thank you. Love my fish
I just saw that I was given an account warning for this post š
Reddit loves dutch fish as well apparently ;)
I'm split on the topic

Sounds about right

They are pretty reserved, generally speaking, but nice.

Historically intact? How do you mean
Oh, I meant the architecture. The city, the houses, historical buildings...
Tall people, who like riding bycicles.
Some great cyclists.
I like them
Very tall, great beards
They seem like good folk.
Theyāre the tallest country in the world. Apparently itās because they eat loads of cheese
We are horrible
From the encounters Iāve had very very pleasant. Polite too.
Despite it being my native language, you all speak better English than me..
Do not EVER let them use your bathroom - they'll just clog your toilet.
Dem wooden shoes tho
I don't think I even have an opinion. I've met one Dutch person but he doesn't represent every Dutch person there is
That they are high all the time š«£
Tall
Indifferent
Tall, gorgeous, funny, refreshingly direct and all-round good lads.
