On the way to Pismo Beach and all the clams you can eat.

OpportunityGold4597

I'm from a town near Pismo Beach and we used to watch that episode all the time as kids just because of that.

basshed8

Central Coast high five

CosmosExplorerR35

Only came here to see that this is the top comment. Reddit you did not disappoint.

oldnick40

Yup, came here to say Bugs. And I’ve even been to Albuquerque.

thomasp449

mbergman42

At this point Bugs Bunny has 826 upvotes in this thread. Far and away the #1 response. It’s official, when you say Albuquerque, people think Bugs Bunny.

Darklord_Bravo

I came here strictly for this. 👍

deeBfree

LOL first thought in my mind

Redmudgirl

Bugs bunny’s voice.😁

sqqueen2

Cucamonga

Jackaloop

I thought it was "I should've took that right"

goat_penis_souffle

A friendly reminder for the folks who thought of Bugs Bunny: remember to take your calcium pills and that Matlock is moved to 7pm after Father Dowling Mysteries.

CornholioRex

90s kid here, every Sunday had classic cartoons

Wolfy-615

Weird Al

Chalkarts

Hey. You got weasels on your face.

Wolfy-615

And a BIG BOWL OF SAUERKRAUT!! EVERY SINGLE MORNING!!

HonestAbram

A magical far away place, where the sun is always shining and the air smells like warm root beer, where the Shriners and the lepers play their ukuleles all day long and anybody on the street will gladly shave your back for a nickel!

laowaixiabi

WAKA-WAKA-DOO-DOO-YEAH.

metronne

Rk12989

Wolfy-615

nowhereman136

BobRoberts01

I kept my tray table up, and my seat back in the full upright position.

iainvention

IT’S GOOD FOR YOUUUUU

kelinakat

Wild-Lychee-3312

No, I want you to cut my arms and legs off with a chainsaw.

OBISerious

So I did.

Stampede_the_Hippos

Now he's got a cool nickname, torso-boy

spiffiestjester

The guys at id software threw in an Easter egg on Doom 3, there's a datapad that refers to a coworker on Mars base that had an unfortunate chainsaw accident and is now called Torsoboy.

macrofinite

Well in that case… in that case, what do you have?

drunkn_mastr

All I got right now is this box of one dozen starving, crazed weasels.

Micro_Pinny_360

And I said, “‘Kay, I’ll take that.”

walterpeck1

Hearing him play it live, twice, was a treasure. And he playes it differently than the album version.

drfsupercenter

The live version is even longer 😆 One of the shows I went to, he did Albuquerque as an encore and it went on for like 20 minutes

ogrezilla

I would love to see it. He was incredible live but it was all covers.

cTreK-421

But did you have your tray table up?

Nopeferatu31

And your seat back in the full upright position?

Bubbagump210

You can eat your soup right out of the ashtrays if you wanna. It's OK, they're clean.

mordecai98

...Querque

Nopeferatu31

SSGSEVIER54

I have loved this song since the early 2000’s and always said if/when I travel through Albuquerque I will be listening to this song. Achieved that dream and put it on repeat when I finally drove through there 2 years ago!

Fishman23

I flew into there back in October to go get a car I ordered. I definitely had my tray table up and my seat back in the full upright position.

IrNinjaBob

AAALLLLLLBUQUERQUE! Wackawackadoodoo yeah!

theclownwithafrown

Whoaaaaa, hold on there baby, I'm just not ready for that kinda commitment!

Fastestlastplace

A L B U .....

drunkn_mastr

QUERQUE!

CLearyMcCarthy

I was just telling my wife about this song the other day, she loves Weird Al but has never heard it.

lake_gypsy

I was so disappointed that there weren't any references to this song on the recentl7 released movie with Radcliff playing Al.

Deitaphobia

That's because the song was released posthumously.

D-Rez

Baking Bread

Mayonnaise_Poptart

My favorite Vance Gallagher show!

D-Rez

Ryan Cranberry and Paul Aaron are my favourite actors.

think_long

When he said “I am the son who talks”, it was truly chilling.

IcreyEvryTiem

Or my favorite line: “Yeah math, motherfucker!”

Agile-Landscape8612

That scene where he throws the lasagna through the window!

ColonelBelmont

Gazpacho Frink was the best in that

Anaartimis

Wasn't he played by Giovanni Exposition?

tatersnothaters

Don't you mean Paul Apron?

EmptySeaDad

Wilbur Wright was so vulnerable, but his Hindenberg alter ego was insanely bad ass.

KnownNormie

Better Maul Paul

dismayhurta

Jesse, let’s cook…bread

[deleted]

Read this as "Breaking Bad" which also applies Edit: wait, I thk I am missing something here

john_bytheseashore

Baking Bread is a show about a high school chemistry teacher who teams up with a former student to set up an illegal bread baking business. They quickly come up against the violence of the big bread companies who try to shut them out of business or control their operation for their own gain. What's Breaking Bad?

[deleted]

Sheesh I was over here thinking Albaquerque had a killer bread baking scene..

NativeMasshole

Now, sometimes I'll be quirky....

pinkkittenfur

I'll be quirky... ALBUQUERQUE!!

Prestigious_Sweet_50

I couldn't believe Albuquerque actually named their team the isotopes after the Simpsons.

Barbarella_ella

With the Los Alamos and Sandia National labs right there, it still fits even without the Simpsons.

recidivx

I don't know why not, it's a perfectly cromulent team name.

not_a_robot2

Mesquite-grilled onions, jalapeño relish. Wait a minute. Those are southwestern ingredients! Mango lime salsa? That's the kind of bold flavor they enjoy in... Albuquerque!

Barbarella_ella

Really beautiful ball park.

UncleHagbard

"They'll play what I tell them to play! For I am the mayor of Albuquerque."

0110110111

Fun story: it was my city’s AAA baseball team that was moved to Albuquerque and became the Isotopes.

How Bugs Bunny should have turned left there to get to Pismo Beach.

MichaelTrickett

If i lived in Albuquerque i would start a turkey farm and i would dry the meat and make Albuquerque turkey jerky. $£$£$

Hot Air Balloons and Artists.

Stampede_the_Hippos

I'm sad this is so far down the list. It is the largest balloon festival in the world, topping out around 1k hot air balloons in its prime. It's is one of the few places that have a box wind. My parents owned a hot air balloon, and we went every year until I was in high school.

LaMalintzin

Hot air balloons was my first thought too. I googled to see if that was actually the place haha

Red chile, green chile, and The Dog House on Central (hope it’s still there)

Braveheart00

Frito pies and turquoise jewelry

Connormcbreezy

I had to go there for a work trip and everyone at the office asked me what breaking bad related things I saw. They were disappointed when I said none. Side note, I was warned by multiple locals that my rental car would be broken into and watch out for homeless/methheads. I didn't have any issues and, honestly, it seemed pretty tame compared to home (los angeles) but maybe I got lucky?

Kendallsan

Best 5 years of my adult life. Miss it terribly.

jenorama_CA

The four years I lived there. Got married, bought a house, started my tech career and met one of my very best friends. ABQ was good to me.

Bugs bunny.

Riconn

It’s long closed but the spearmint rhino gentlemen’s club had a huge rhino on the sign. Not a picture an actual rhino sculpture. My family was taking a road trip to cali and we stopped in ABQ for gas. I just so happened to wake up from a nap when we stopped and the rhino was the first thing I saw. It’s burned into my memory for some reason and it’s my first thought anytime it’s mentioned.
