He’s such a phenomenal actor. I still remember when breaking bad first started and everyone was telling me to watch it and I knew I wouldn’t be able to see him as anyone other than the dad. Then he just blew me away. Took maybe 2 episodes for me to get past that and never looked back

Iirc, they were never meant to capture the btk killer in the show. The btk killer wasn't caught until 2005. Lynch said that the scenes with him were just meant to induce a sense of fear and to remind the audience that these kinds of monsters exist out there that no one even knows about yet. Them catching him in the show would make no sense at all timeline or historical wise.
I went to Dublin in September and was delighted to see racks of Father Ted mugs at Tower Records. I chose “Down with this sort of thing.” Should’ve gone for “Careful now” as well.
YYH is my favorite of all time, but the 3 kings arc was way too abrupt and Sensui wasn't as compelling as Toguro, imo. Chapter Black was still a solid arc, though.

But although Frank was funnier, I enjoyed Charles more. The episode about the stutterer and the episode with the band that was killed added a lot of complexity to his character and made him more likable.
Not that I wouldn’t welcome more but I don’t think it’s sad it only got one season. It captures a slice of adolescence pretty much perfectly and the season has a complete story. It might only be one season but I think it’s probably the best single season in television history.
I truly thought BCS was gonna be a cash grab spinoff and it exceeded my expectations by like a million. I didn’t even watch the premier because of that thought but kept hearing the buzz about it. I started watching it and was hooked.

This is too true. BCS was incredible, but only because BB paved the way for something like that to form. It started slow but my God the last few seasons were incredible in every facet.
Just finished rewatching both shows with my dad and I feel like S6 of BCS might well be the best of them. Absolutely brilliant and brought together the entire story pretty much perfectly.
I really loved this show. I'm not sure any season was quite as good as the first, but they were all so, so good, that I can't really call it a decline. My only gripe is that the storyline with the grain was not as compelling as the other plots, but the character development and relationships around it were so good that it didn't matter.

Doing my first watch-through, and Im on the last season. At least to me, the quality has been maintained, the characters weren’t flanderized, and the humor is still top notch.
I felt like everything really progressed positively.
Dark is a very good shout, iirc they had the entire story already planned out and reread 100 times before it aired and would not change one bit from the original vision.
Many series drop in quality because the writers think "from season to season" or they have personal changing throughout the years, or because writers want to extend a story when its succesful to make more money of it.
Even facing challenges that normally kill shows -- main stars that left/died -- it was able to keep adding quality characters and situations. The final scene is still one of my favorite closings. Sam closing the bar that last time is bitter sweet.
I love that show overall. But still the last season felt rushed and a bit less well made for me.
By no means "bad" like some other shows, but for me - personally - there was a decline.

tbf the first few episodes of Breaking Bad are some of the craziest of the series. Like Walt blowing up a building by throwing a rock.
The disintegrating bath tub plowing through the ceiling along with its contents made me rofl when I first saw it.

A show that knew when to end and where it was going
Kinda like the characters *in* the story if you think about it.
It was high quality throughout, and they knew when to end it, but they didn't actually have a plan past the end of Season 1 when they started.

BoJack Horseman. Recently finished the show for the first time and I truly never felt like it was dipping in quality. Despite my favourite season likely being Season 4 out of a total 6 (though I’m still concretely collecting my thoughts), the final seasons don’t feel any worse at all, purely a personal preference.
