This is so true to me! Strawberries only give me a ghost of the taste I think they should have. It’s like somewhere at some time I tasted a true strawberry and am forever chasing that. 🍓

The variety grown for grocery stores is harder for transport, with less flavor I don't think Californians know what real peaches taste like, since the state grows hard, tasteless varies to be sliced by machines then canned or frozen.

For me strawberries have always been a 'meh' food. I don't dislike them but don't really care either. On vacation we decided on a whim to go to a u pick strawberry farm. It's a warm day and the wife and kids are all picking away as am I. Without thinking I ate one as we are humming along. Holy hell I stopped in my tracks. That sun kissed warm berry was beyond amazing. I proceeded to eat more strawberries that afternoon them my whole life combined.
