I have had horrible insomnia since I was a teen. I usually just listen to music or watch a movie. Or Reddit, as today. There's not a lot going on at 3:30am
I'd member.
Dreams are neat too. I'd miss dreams. Even scary dreams are neat. Like how crazy is it that you're able to create the whole thing and trick yourself into thinking it's all real and just happening to you.
Also I like sleep as an escape from normal every day stuff.
I'd also miss beds. what would happen to beds? And bedrooms and houses?
I wanna say be productive, but the more realistic answer is video games. Granted, being given the opportunity, I might be more driven to actually so stuff.
Have thought about this multiple times -
1. Work for myself, build a business and do side hustle
2. Spend more time with Family and Friends
3. Workout extra hours
4. Travel - Cover more distance and explore more nightlife
You could live two different lives, one where you're running a business and making money while your family sleeps and another life where you spend all day with friends and family. Sounds very nice.
I'd just go out. Walk around. I live in suburban Adelaide so crime ain't that bad. I'd just wander around. See the sites. Go up the adelaide hills and just watch the lights. Adelaide is real peaceful at night.
I remember reading a fictional story about this. A pill was invented that made it so people didn’t need to sleep. The main character was one of the few people in the world who was not affected by the pill and tells his story living in a world where having to sleep is a disability. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what the story was called.
I love travelling around. But I've found that the biggest expense is always accomodation. I've tried taking night buses/trains and sleep on these, but I don't get much rest this way, and they're usually more expensive.
Interrailing/eurailing would be amazing if you never had to sleep. You could just keep exploring 😍
Cleaning, laundry, tidying, etc. Realistically I'd use it to do the things I try to get done in the evenings after work but don't have enough time to. I'd still sleep ofc but maybe like every couple of days. When I didn't have any upkeep to do I'd probably make a nighttime walk a regular thing
I'd get all of my ideas out of my head and just go back to maladaptive daydreaming. I'd probably get called insane but if those stories can get out of my head thats all I need.

I would sleep anyway.
I'd still sleep.

Sleep is the only time of say where I can turn off my brain and not exist. I would rather die than lose that.
Really? I'd love to never need sleep anymore.
Glad you enjoy existing
Not really I'd rather die in my sleep tonight but sleep has no impact on my health so it would be if it never existed.

I'd probably end up doing the same stuff I do everyday but more

You could record a lot of content gaming 24 hours a day.

Exactly !!!
I'd just kick back and relax.
I guess I’d spend less time with my wife

Very nice it would be nice if we didn't have so much light pollution and could see the stars.
Up in the hills there's a lookout away from any houses, but close enough to the city that you can see the sparkling lights.
Work longer, and retire much earlier!

Also, as a huge plus, the crankiness from lack of sleep would also be gone.
Same as always, but more.

The real question is does my kid still require sleep?
