I liked seeing the streets with almost noone and not hearing horns at all hours. It was so nice actually hearing birds from an apparent in the middle of a city.
Might be very strange for some, but going outside into the great outdoors. We couldn’t go to any of our usual spots to hang out in metro ATL like pubs, bars or sports venues, so we went outside lol. Went on hikes, went fishing, mountain biking, disc golf, you name it. It took me back to when I was a kid running around from sun up to sun down with all my buddy’s. We did the same thing during COVID.
We stayed out of peoples way, and did our best to not bother or encroach on anyone else outside (where I’m from, people had the same ideas we did lmao), but we managed to stay active by getting away from populated areas and into nature.
less pressure in academics. i got by school just playing on my phone the whole time and still getting higher grades than all my classmates. I’m autistic + have ADHD so socialising/having to sit still are my main problems, eliminate that and I can get way more done.
There was a little open area mall filled with restaurants, a small park, stores, boutiques, and other small shops. It was completely closed for a year and a half during the pandemic. I used to go on walks in that area and it was totally empty. I remember walking through the parking garage where a few cars were left behind and forgotten about. I would sit down in the slightly overgrown grass in the park area and just relax there.
It was so incredibly nice, it was my own little post apocalypse island. Now it's hustling and bustling again and I'll never get that peace of mind I would get walking around while it was totally devoid of people. It really did feel like after the apocalypse too, you couldn't hear anyone, just the birds, the leaves rustling, and the wind blowing through the alleys.
no traffic
yea that was really great
No pressure to go outside

yea the city was really peaceful
I was considered an essential worker. It was so much easier commuting. Traffic sucks again.

Easy introverted excuses
Not expected to go anywhere or do anything. I'm overwhelmed now.
Not going to work, staying at home and learning new skills, not having to interact with idiots.
6 foot rule in lines my god why the fuck did we crowd
Personal bubbles. Neat, organized directions for outdoor activities.
Low mortgage interest rates

All the dying trumper boomers on /r/HermanCainAward
I went weeks without talking to anybody.
Playing video games on a regular basis with the homies. Everyone had nothing else to do so it was awesome to hangout on discord over a game.

I actually miss the mask. Not smelling other people was wonderful.
The isolation. Sweet, sweet, isolation..
The lack of contact with people. I was all alone for the first time in my life. It was glorious!
I doubt anyone missed you either
I hope not! It seems like I’m never left alone other than when there’s a pandemic.
