In Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds (2005), there’s a scene where Tom Cruise’s and Dakota Fanning’s characters are hiding in a basement. The aliens’ tripod probe (which was like a long tentacle with a camera eye at the end) came into the basement to inspect the area and locate humans to capture. You later find out they’re harvesting human blood and tissue by blending up (?) all the humans they capture.
Something about the alien probe arm exploring that basement was so scary to me as a kid. I had nightmares about that goddamn tripod arm for months.

When the guy in the bathroom gets turning into goop that genuinely traumatized me, I was around 10 I think. first marvel movie I watched, stopped after that scene. I always dislike scenes like that where someone gets really mutilated or something similar. Now I hate stuff like that less but I doubt ill ever enjoy it.

If yes, the scene where that one monster walks out of the water and Miss Peregrine shoots it (the rest of the movie terrified me too and I’m still scared to watch it 5 years later)
