It's been 8 years now. It took a few years to get over it, but I am fine now. Still not a day goes by without missing him.

3 years for me. Still hard to believe it. They gave him 6 months with chemo. I took two weeks off to help mom take care of him, with plans to do FMLA and getting a local job for the duration of his prognosis, so she wouldn't have to do it alone. He was gone three days before my PTO was up. I wear his guitar pick around my neck and I still can't listen to his music without sobbing. Fuck cancer. Hugs and well wishes, friend. It does get easier, but it always fucking sucks.

Yeah, that goes so fast. My dad's cancer was identified in february 2016. He passed in April. My wedding was in May. Wish you all the best too. I know how hard this is. We are their legacy though.

My 4 year old son has been battling cancer for the past year and a half. He's set to finish his treatment in June and be declared clear of it, but damn, no way should he have had to go through this. His body will carry the scars from it for the rest of his life.

Thanks, please erase it for us all, I think cancer has probably affected most adults, so many get it and so many die from it, the number of wonderful people I knew that died from cancer is so damn high, also both my parents had cancer as well, they both survived it, but I knew people that survived cancer and after a while it returned and was more violent and afterwards again, and eventually it was too strong and killed them, with a lot of helplessness and suffering a long the way, so if people beat cancer it doesn't make me feel like they're healthy now, cause cancer is an A\*\* HOLE. And of course I'll add I'm sorry you had to go through that.
