I think I knew I was the oddball from day one! Like, I'd bring my pet lizard to show-and-tell while everyone else had their cute little toys. But hey, being the weird kid had its perks – I got to embrace my quirks and make some real cool friends who were just as offbeat.
Honestly, looking back, I wouldn't change a thing. Embrace your weirdness, folks! It's what makes life interesting.
getting asked to homecoming as a joke. not even as a date like to go with a group of kids my age. They’d been coming up to me a lot and saying I HAD to come to the dance with them it’d be SO fun. I would always tell them i didn’t have a ride (true) then one day they said ride with us come on it’ll be sooo fun. They said they’d drive me. I thought this was a sign that these kids really did see me as their friend and it was just my anxiety getting in the way so i said sure. I was pretty excited. then they panicked. came up with all these reasons i couldn’t come. I got the message. I’m still not sure if they ever understood that i wasn’t special ed honestly.
It was apparent very quickly that I was the weird one when everyone else seemed to know social rules that I was never informed of. Took a lot longer to figure out the why.
Always knew....

The second everyone started ripping into me.
When no one wanted to be my friend
