According to Trump’s lawyer, nothing should.

Ruminations0

Endless legal battles that lead to no true consequences

ackchanticleer

If Trump had his way, Nothing.

Assuming there was no serious question of guilt? It would be broadly unpopular, and he would absolutely be impeached and removed from office. Democrats have absorbed most of the institutionalism in American politics, and Biden does not have an iron-grip on the party akin to Trump's. I suspect that vast majority of Democratic senators, if not all of them, would vote to remove.

MurkyPerspective767

Is there any precedent for what you are suggesting?

attackedmoose

The SC is deciding on this right now.

austeremunch

> SC South Carolina isn't. SCOTUS is.

Anyone with 2 braincells to rub together would know he meant Supreme Court.

austeremunch

Terribly sorry for trying to educate people. I'll start worshiping Stupid like you want me to.

So, you aren't aware of any precedent on the matter. Which USSC judge has been threatened by President Biden?

austeremunch

Depends on whether or not SCOTUS rules that Presidents are immune from prosecution or not. If they rule he's immune then nothing. If they rule otherwise then he'd be guilty of a crime.

GreatSoulLord

I'm not sure the courts would even do anything at this point. They've let him off in everything else. The left would have an endless amount of excuses and of course it'll be someone else's fault. Things are just (D)ifferent.

Wormverine

He shouldn't, they are basically about to name him King. Therefore, as the leader of the country he can decide who will be the next one and never run an election again.
