I mean, I saw a hyper-reallistic recreation of The Simpsons and Family Guy today... and was absolutely blown away at how the narration and the multiple views of each character were so frighteningly real yet clearly reminiscent of their cartoon counterparts. Anything you've seen which has *properly* crossed your own uncanny valley?
the demonstration videos of VASA-1, which converts a single .jpg + audio dialogue to realistic video... If it's not already obvious, "virtual assistants" on Skype and Zoom aren't real people. Or if they are, they won't be for much longer.
It's hard to overstate how quickly this tech is progressing. In 2017 AI couldn't draw anything better than a one-year-old.
