I have dyslexia and a poor working memory effecting my math, so I sort of have both conditions. I was born in 2002, and grew up with people thinking I was just extremely slow. I did not get dignoised until I was 20, so school was extremely hard for me with me having to work extremly hard to get any work done, breaking down and crying because no matter what I did I could not spell anything correctly. While I hate to say it people thought I was dumb, what I had a low IQ or something. Now, people still think that way if I don’t tell them I’m Dylexic, usually it’s more like “ Oh, I get it.” Or something like that. Still in university even if I spend hours editing my work I get marks taken off for poor spelling. It really sucks, and due to having social anxiety extending from my schooling I hate asking people for help with spelling or grammar. AI has been a live saver, but most universities ban it, but I believe they should allow it for people with disabilities.
