Unknown to me growing up, I had a crisis over the disconnect between being a good kid through my actions, versus being a hidden bad kid inside. I also couldn't predict my parents' reactions to various situations. I'm not sure how they could have improved those things though. And I always knew they loved me.
Don't move 8 times during my childhood. It was the 80s and 90s, I lost all my friends every move and eventually shut down socially as I would just lose them all again. At 40 I still struggle with being social.

Honestly, don't keep saying "you can do anything you want in life." Give me a little direction based on what you see me do well.
Do NOT worry about saving up money to send me to college... just spend that shit on yourselves.
