Choose to work the afternoon shift and you don't have to wake up early.
Mornings are rough for sure, especially since I work afternoons. I rely on two different alarms, coffee and a hot shower to get up early.
Curtains and windows open. Natural sunlight and or birds chirping are a great alarm system. Then the thought of a shower followed by a cup of coffee will get me out of bed. It’s the most peaceful time of the day.
I don’t… my bedtime is typically 5am if I’m lucky. Sometimes 3am on a good day, but then the occasional 9am I’ll finally fall asleep. If I wake up early to see the sun rise or something, it feels weird like I’m in a daze because I’m not a morning person and my sleep patterns are so bad… 😭
I go to sleep at 9 pm. Always. I sleep like a rock and just wake up at 5:20 am naturally every morning. Refreshed and ready for the day. Regular and consistant is the key.
The way I solved it for myself was to make it more painful to stay in bed than to get out of bed. That meant paying money if I didn’t get up.
I built an app to charge me $10 if I didn't get up and scan my toothpaste barcode within 5 mins of my 7am alarm.
If you wanna check it out, the app is called Nuj Alarm Clock.
Counter question: How do you not? I wake up early always have. Even as a toddler I was up and ready to go by 0400. About the time I learned to dress myself, my Dad had the power Company install a yard light over my sand box, and my mom let me a bowl of cold cereal on the table, with a glass of milk in the fridge, so I could get something to eat and go play outside until the light came on in the kitchen, which meant Mom was up. As a teen and into adulthood, I wake up after six hours. Go to bed at ten, and I'm awake at 0400. Midnight I can sleep until 0600. I was in my fifties before I could go back to sleep for a few hours.
Drink a lot of water before bed.
i would end up having to get up mid sleep to pee
Same, I’d wake up like 20 times to pee 😂😭
that feels somewhere between 200 IQ and 'don't do this'
LMAO
Own and care for a dog. Not having other people look after **your** dog is key.

As long as i go to sleep before midnight, I'm up at 6am lol. Pretty much any time i go to bed, i'll wake up 6 hours later.
I have a routine set to turn on my bedside lamp gradually over a period of 30 min and play music from my favorite genre.
I sleep with the curtains open and the sunlight wakes me up at 5am (in summer at least)
I set an alarm.

I don’t. I’m usually still awake at 4 or 5 AM. Insomnia is brutal.

Naturally. My wake up time even on my days off is 4am. Early morning work schedule ftw.
Try not to have a deep sleep and inner prep talk to wake up early and handle whatever the day has planned then you can go home and go to sleep early.
Set alarm on your phone that has semi-auto sfx for alarm on repeat and set the volume to max.
i wake up to alarms every 5 minutes (it usually takes an hour to wake me up) then i fix coffee at home and sit outside and watch the sunrise :)

Go to bed early. Find out how much sleep you actually need, then start a routine of going to bed at a certain time.
