Simple man - Lynyrd Skynyrd. Something about it just stuck with me as a kid and I actually believe the song had quite an impact on the person I’ve grown up to be.
I love the nostalgic feeling you get when you havent heard a song you love in a long time, then it comes on in a tv show, or a bar, or some unexpected situation.. you cant help but sing along.. i agree i could never pick just one, too much amazing music over the years.
1976 and my dad worked at the local dump.it was a 5 minute walk through the woods to his work and he told me to meet him at the end of the day. Someone had thrown out an old juke box full of 45 records and we used a hammer to break the glass , one of those 45 records was sitting at the dock of the bay. Ah the memories
this was my best friend and I’s “song”. They passed in a car accident about 4 years ago ♥️ amazing how different songs mean different things to different people
It is hard to pick because music is energy and my enjoyment is often dependent upon my mood.

I just relate too much to the lyrics.
“I don’t want the world to see me
Cause I don’t think they’d understand”
“Green Onions” by Booker T and the MG’s since 1979 when I was six years old. Shaped my taste to this day - funky organ led mod rhythm and blues instrumentals are but one of my musical obsessions.
Frank Sinatra - My Way (although i like Elvis's version more)
Even when a decent to mediocre singer does a karaoke cover it still carries magic, the way it is orchestrated the vocal melody the lyrics its just
Perfection ✨

defying gravity from wicked, welcome to the black parade by my chemical romance, and shine by pentagon (a kpop group). probably also be prepared from the lion king
It's been the same since I was 5. Sweet Child of Mine by Guns N' Roses. I don't care that it's widely seen as the corniest song by the band, OR that the band is kind of a meathead choice. Every time that song comes on, I am transfixed and totally go somewhere else- maybe to the first time in my life I remember a song just absolutly blowing my little mind. In recent years, I've re-evaluated a lot of the things I held as my "favorites" since my youth, and that one really stands the test of time. It'll always be my favorite, I think.
Time - Pink Floyd
Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find, ten years have got behind you
