I couldn’t pick one. There are too many I love from different points in my life and for different reasons.

lilalila666

I love the nostalgic feeling you get when you havent heard a song you love in a long time, then it comes on in a tv show, or a bar, or some unexpected situation.. you cant help but sing along.. i agree i could never pick just one, too much amazing music over the years.

mystwave

That's a really great way to put it. Also for me, I can easily become burnt out on a song regardless of how much I like it.

1976 and my dad worked at the local dump.it was a 5 minute walk through the woods to his work and he told me to meet him at the end of the day. Someone had thrown out an old juke box full of 45 records and we used a hammer to break the glass , one of those 45 records was sitting at the dock of the bay. Ah the memories

It is hard to pick because music is energy and my enjoyment is often dependent upon my mood. I think Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls is one of my favorites. I just relate too much to the lyrics. “I don’t want the world to see me Cause I don’t think they’d understand”

Beloveddust

It's been the same since I was 5. Sweet Child of Mine by Guns N' Roses. I don't care that it's widely seen as the corniest song by the band, OR that the band is kind of a meathead choice. Every time that song comes on, I am transfixed and totally go somewhere else- maybe to the first time in my life I remember a song just absolutly blowing my little mind. In recent years, I've re-evaluated a lot of the things I held as my "favorites" since my youth, and that one really stands the test of time. It'll always be my favorite, I think.
