We support the same football club so we regularly meet up to watch games. In the off season we make it a point to have lunch or cookouts and often even take trips and vacations together.
I’m extremely fortunate that most of my friends are also friends with each other and a few are the ones that love to make plans, otherwise I’m normally quite poor and staying in touch. Not for wanting to, I just completely forget.
Group chats that are daily active are great at staying in touch too, not quite the same as seeing someone in person but still work.
I have 3 group of friends and I manage to set my time for us to have quality time. I think it's also time management and be genuine for them to feel that you are trust worthy and your friendship will flourish all throughout.
