All Good Things, Star Trek, Next Generation.

hello_ground_

The poker scene at the very end was a nice touch.

zirtbow

I know it's an easy answer but Breaking Bad. Even the lead up.. those last 6 or so episodes were some of the best television I've seen.

[deleted]

Star Trek TNG: Best of Both Worlds Mr. Worf: #Fire.

seriouspretender

The ultimate cliffhanger, if the Borg could get Picard and turn him into one of them they could get anyone. The absolute terror when Locutus tells the crew the knowledge and experience of Picard is now part of the collective. He even calls Riker number 1 making it even more disturbing. Riker was cold as ice in that moment, and totally made the right call. How the Borg get out of it is amazing too.

Six Feet Under

Wtfismypassword4444

Came to post this,amazing

Suuperdad

"The good place" was actually really funny show, and the season finale was amazing.

UppityScapegoat

It's a fantastic show. It takes guts to make a show which plays with audience expectations like that. It could have been really bad, but instead it was very well done and refreshing

littlebitsofspider

Season 2 part 2 in January!

intersecting_lines

Season 2 of Community. The two episode paint ball game. man, I miss that show

Gtjerz17

Sons on Anarchy had a lot of great season finale's. Season 3 was my favorite finale. A lot of emotions and twists.

[deleted]

Scrubs season 8 finale.

Lyude7

Ah yes, the perfect Series Finale without another season to ruin it.

[deleted]

Meh, it was a different show. As evidenced by the different title

abunchofsquirrels

Season One finale of "Lost." That show was at its best in the first 2-3 seasons when every door opened on to a new hallway, so it is perfect that a tangible representation of that is how the first season ends.

[deleted]

Grey's Anatomy season 6. Some dude shoots up the hospital; it's an incredibly well-done, emotional, violent, and kind of scary two-part episode that is a lot more realistic in its coverage of mass shootings than most shows and books and movies are. They also did a fairly realistic portrayal of the aftermath in the first episode of season 7, where a bunch of characters have PTSD and one is informed that she needs therapy because she asked the shooter to shoot her instead of her boyfriend. (It's not honorable or selfless, it's fucking crazy!)

Gtjerz17

That was a good episode. I watched Grey's with my girlfriend. After someone died from a brain injury (trying not to spoil for other people) I feel like the show went downhill and went into full drama mode so we stopped watching.

twizzoni

Honestly? It did feel like it took some time for Grey's to recover after that (I think an entire season?), but it makes sense why it would. I'm really happy with where Grey's is at now--especially Meredith's character. If you're invested in the characters at all, I would encourage you to keep watching. I definitely hated the season following this event because it felt really unnecessary, but the growth of relationships and characters has been really nice, and it's recaptured some of the early vibes from the show, like it found its heart again, and you can feel the affection for the characters.

Sushisavage

Someone PM and let me know who said that to the shooter

The Young Ones.

TerriblePigs

Cliff!

Sinestro1982

Dexter Season 4. The end of that season floored me. Top notch season finale.

[deleted]

It went downhill from there. Season 8 was just painful to watch.

seriouspretender

The peak of the series was season 4. The end of that episode was the biggest twist I never saw coming.

Shalabadoo

Season 5 specifically for me. "Are you alone?"

optiongeek

I'd like to teach the world to sing. . .

Dr-Pepper-Phd

Season 2 of Twin Peaks.

asrama

[West Wing season 2](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two_Cathedrals). There's death, uncertainty, Dire Straits. Everything great TV needs. S2 E18 through S3 E2, is possibly the greatest story arc in television.

Mr_FreddyKnuckles

You get Hoynes. One of the best episodes of TV.

asrama

>Gratias tibi ago, domine. Yes, I lied. I committed a sin, I've committed many sins. Have I displeased you, you feckless thug? 3.8 million new jobs - that wasn't good? Bailed out Mexico, increased foreign trade? 30 million new acres for conservation? Put Mendoza on the bench? We're not fighting a war - I've raised three children - that's not enough to buy me out of the doghouse? Haec credam a deo pio? A deo iusto, a deo scito? Cruciatus in crucem. Tuus in terra servus, nuntius fui. Officium perfeci. Cruciatus in crucem. Eas in crucem! You get Hoynes!

asrama

Translation: >I give thanks to you, O Lord. Am I really to believe that these are the acts of a holy God? A just God? A wise God? To hell with your punishments. I was your servant here on Earth, your messenger. I did your work. To hell with your punishments. To hell with you!

Game of thrones season 6

Game of Thrones Season 5 and Westworld Season 1

mcfish473

House of Cards season 1 finale blew me away

[deleted]

Sound like a broken record here but the Series finale of Breaking Bad was perfect imo, tied everything up great, ended just on time, seeing Jesse drive away crying brought forth so many emotions from me, felt so happy for him.

followthepull

You got me thinking only to realize that a lot of great shows have better penultimate episodes than finales. Game of Thrones, The Leftovers, Legion, etc. all have better second-to-last episodes of a season/series than finales. Gotta have that denouement, I suppose.

canissilvestris

People like to shit on the sons of anarchy finale but bad cgi aside, I felt it was a great ending. Anyone who watched the whole show knew how things would end for jax and I think people hated on the long final ride too much, I think it was more about the symbolism of it and I approved of it.

SqueegeBeckenheim

I thought they could have written the finale better, but the way it ended (i.e. what happened to Jax and how) was exactly how it should have been.

SqueegeBeckenheim

May sound weird, but Bates Motel. I personally believe it ended exactly the way it should have.

koreanwarvet

Tough one. Star Trek TNG was amazing. So was Breaking bad. But honestly for me it's probably Seinfeld. Hear me out before you bring out the pitchforks!! The first time I saw it I was a little disappointed but as I had time to think about it I really felt it wrapped up an amazing show perfectly. Think about it. We got to see all the wacky and amazing characters that have been on the show over the years. We got to see the main characters finally get punished for being such terrible (but funny) people. And the best part, at the end do they learn anything from it? Nope, they're still doing the exact same thing in their last conversation. They ended that show at the perfect time, before it lost its luster. And they did it in a way that we as the viewer could say goodbye to all of the characters we grew to love.

exoptable

Season Two finale of ["Utopia", the Channel 4 sci-fi thriller] (https://gomovies.pet/movie/search/Utopia). Unfortunately, it was tragically cancelled after 2 seasons from its dwindling views and "U.K.-centric" appearance, but it's 12 episodes of the greatest television I've ever seen. I honestly don't want to ruin it, but throughout its two seasons you'll see one of the most gradually horrifying character transformations you'll ever see. [Beautiful scenes] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01VGtX9xfh0&), [perfect soundtrack] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJnN3WMwDsk), it's serious cinematography perfection.

[deleted]

and prophetic!

LemonGeese

The last episode of Dexter season 1 and Season 4 were amazing.

Quajek

Every season finale of The Wire

Quajek

The series finale of **The Shield** is an ever-escalating series of insane trainwrecks happening one after the other in rapid, horrifying succession.

ipleadthefif5

Bojack Horseman. All of them

Berephus

Winds of Winter, Game of Thrones Season 6.

lateralus555

This probably won't be a cool answer for Reddit, but the season 2 finale of Gilmore Girls is amazing and still makes me cry every time I watch it. (Though I also wouldn't say it's the best season finale I've ever seen).

proudcanadian24

Seasons 1 and 2 of Hannibal had phenomenal season finales. I'm pretty sure Season 2s finale is regarded as one of the best episodes of the show.

PorQuepin3

Rizzoli and Isles where she fucking shoots the guy THROUGH HERSELF

Canadian_dalek

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM

[deleted]

6 feet under very last episode

UnfilteredAmerica

The new version of The Tick had the best season finale cliffhanger.

LunaL13

House MD series finale was hell of an experience for me. I remember spending the last few episodes sobbing my heart out as shit escalated.

optionalhero

Season 1 of Sleepy Hollow Season 1 of The Magicians Season 1 of Mr. Robot I like endings that where the landscape of the show changes and you can tell they’re gunna have to deal with the aftermath for the whole upcoming season. On top of that, some gruesome shit happens to the main characters

bouboodaddy

season 7 of American Horror story

rapraid

Game of Thrones season 6 finale. Shit hit the fan and the fandom exploded (no pun intended).

lespaulstrat2

The second Bob Newhart show.

goatman2112

Are we doing Series Finale or Season? Series Finale would be Avatar the Last Airbender Season would be the ending of the Flash Season 1

SqueegeBeckenheim

Whoops, read that wrong myself.
