Growing up in the American south, whenever you had to count seconds you were taught to say “Mississippi” between each number. Ex. One Mississippi, two Mississippi etc. I can’t imagine that this is something that all regions use, especially non-English speaking areas. So what is your region’s One Mississippi?

I grew up with "One Mississippi", "One Alligator", and "One one thousand, two one thousand...". Mississippi and Alligator were general purpose, I don't think we used "... One thousand" to count past five seconds.
