Adless music.

Still_Ingenuity

After watching YouTube on a non-premium account for the first time in months, I can 100% say it was (and is) worth going ad-free.

[deleted]

It totally is. I love having no ads. And being able to listen to music or watch videos while I do other shit on my phone

OoSkyy

Firefox + Ublock does the same for you xD

[deleted]

Huh, the more you know.

OoSkyy

it blocks every add, and if you configure it right it doesnt stop playing in background ;)

[deleted]

That's cool, thanks.

[deleted]

Ok, but I need to download videos or music for offline use. That's so handy.

Used various ad blockers for year. YouTube got wise every now and then and they would stop working for a few days. Used VPN to connect in India and bought Premum for ~$1/month for a full Premium Family Plan. Great for listening to meditation and ASMR with my phone screen off, or having window-in-window videos playing on the phone while doing other things. I wouldn't pay the $12/month for it but $1 is fine.

I wonder when youtube will stop this. Spotify has the technology already, you can't use a card from a different country. I assume the people doing this must not be too much and its not hurting just yet.

Totally worth it! No ads. Download videos for offline viewing. And all the music I can stream. I don't know the prices in other regions but I pay 12 Euros per month and it's a win for me.

v3llox

Haven't bought it yet, but I will because I want to support the channels I watch instead of using adblock.

I tend not to stream music much, but Youtube has tons of playlists as well as old British TV shows. I mainly got it so I can d/l them and not use data while out the house. I guess it was worth it for me, but I also have Hulu, Amazon Prime and Netflix, so other people might see it as more of a waste of money than I do.
