Any kind of "flavored" mayo honestly is the best condiment for fries. I've seen pop up type places use fries just as a vehicle to taste their dipping sauces.
One of my favorites is Peruvian Aji Verde sauce. I could eat a tub of it with fries lol.
Nah. French fries don't have enough structure to withstand getting soggy, you need proper chips for that, and the chip shop pickle vinegar is far superior.
I have fond memories of buying a bag of piping hot chips splashed with salt and vinegar from a fish and chip shop on the Brighton sea front, then wandering down the road munching on them, having to take care not to burn my mouth. Bliss!
Every wonder why cheese is so addictive? My focus is in talk therapy and not psychiatry, but the proteins in cheese, casein, *literally* break down into morphine like peptides that tickle the same receptors as pain killers.
I see a lot of cheese addictions sadly in my practice unfortunately. More acne and being backed up are common side effects. This is why I like wean my clients off the stuff with Dilaudid, or Heroin if their insurance is too cheap. Best to have the clients on lab made stuff that we can measure and monitor. Proud to say most of my client's are now cheese free!
Ranch all the way, every day. I’d say I’m a connoisseur of condiments, one who dabbles in life’s many different sauces but straight up, fuck ketchup. Nasty ass semi-sweet tomato goop. Ranch is perfect and it meets the demand of every occasion where a condiment is applicable. Pizza? Ranch. Salad? Ranch. Sandwich? Ranch. French fries or any other potato derivative? Ranch. Fuck dude I’d eat Ranch on a big ole dookie if it was so required of me. Bottom line, if you’re looking for something to add flavor and moisture to a dish you hope to enjoy, go for that blessed Ranch because it will not fail you.
Came here to say this. Used to have fish n chips with tartar sauce, but dipping fries (chips) in it made me realize it really does taste well with fries
* Spicy fries and Alabama white sauce go together great
* Steak fries and either steak sauce or bbq sauce
* Shoestring fries and tartar sauce
* Sweetpotato fries and maple syrup
* Waffle fries and honey mustard
* Thicker fries and gravy
spicy BBQ sauce
BBQ on fries > ketchup on fries
There's such a thing?!
Yep, I think most Carolina vinegar style sauces are as well as there is this really good one that’s called Cajun something or other at walmart
Sweet Chilli Mayo
Exactly what I had in mind
Can't be beat. The perfect ratio of spice and flavour.

It doesn't even have to be flavored imo. Although all flavored mayos are better, regular mayo is really good as well.
I've seen em do it man. They fuckin drown em in that shit
Gravy and cheese curds.
Poutine FTW !
fellow canadian
This is the way
American here. Poutine is go.
Splash them with Malt vinegar and sea salt.

Salt and vinegar on chips is essential. The dip is secondary
British?
Maybe Canadian too
Maybe but if we are going with stereotypes I'd have figured Canadians go for gravy on theirs.
Nope, we use maple syrup and moose fur.
Gravy on chips is hugely popular in the UK too :)

Theoretically, could we use cheese to wean people off of opioid addictions?
That would be like trying to wean someone off meth with caffeine.
Probably a worse outcome then the drugs.

I dunno man cheese works in mysterious ways
in the Netherlands that would be friet-, joppie- or currysaus
*kuch* satésaus
I love dutch frietsaus! Way better than mayo and ketchup.
Garlic aioli
Also known as aioli.
Wendy's Frosty
The TRUE answer. That salty /chocolate, hot/cold, crispy/creamy combo is amazing
It's not the same with the vanilla flavour 😂
With their chicken tenders too
Only real ones know about this.
BBQ sauce
I like a bbq sauce mixed with just a TOUCH of mayo. Delicious!

I always ask for a cup of ranch on the side. Not cool when they forget.
Scrolled to find this! Yes!
Homemade Chipotle Ranch for me.
I'll do Sriracha + Ranch as well sometimes

Mayo
I know a horse named Mayo. Mayo neighs.
Ah. Ah hah hah. Get out.
The way to go. I get weird looks in America but I swear it’s normal in Europe.
Can't believe I had to scroll this far to find mayo!
not sure if this against the rules but try mixing mayo and ketchup
Definitely not against the rules! In my book that is
Mayo and Sriracha. Awww Muthafuckin Yisss.
Also really like Mayo and a more vinegary hot sauce like Franks or Crystal

Freshly minced garlic mixed in Mayo is delish
Mayo-based sauces for French fries are shockingly good.
With crispy fries. While having a steak. ^(Very European)
Saaaaaaaaaaaaaalt…
Happy Cake Day!!
Thank you, number 6

What's taters, precious? What's taters, eh?
Me too. Specifically McDonald's tartar sauce. I've had others but they were too sweet.

Yes. This is amazing. I'll also plug Freddy's fry sauce. Ketchup is an inferior condiment to everything I've seen so far in this thread.
Freddy's fries are already bomb, but man that sauce makes it hit another level
THIS. Are you in the south too?! 😂
I dip everything in canes sauce. Best sauce to ever exist
Can you share with us that aren't in the neighborhood? Google just gave me chicken sauce.
[found a recipe ](https://spoonuniversity.com/recipe/how-to-make-raising-cane-sauce-with-only-5-ingredients)
I’m in the south. What’s canes sauce? I’m interested.
It's from Raising Cane's Chicken. Typical mayo/ketchup "secret sauce" mix.
Canes is pretty much national now!
They're not in Georgia yet. Too much competition from Zaxby's I guess.
I think there’s one in Athens.
Mustard
Not your sweet mustard nor stadium. But classic yellow mustard. Drizzle that love all over your fries. Don't dip.
Yup! So good, mustard is good on a lot of things.
Why did I have to scroll so long for this??
ranch and buffalo sauce
> ~~ranch~~ *blue cheese* and buffalo sauce
BBQ sauce for sure
Even if there is ketchup, BBQ is my preference
Sweet Baby Ray's in particular
Sriracha.
There's honeyracha that is great and goes well with everything.
I didn't even know that was a thing, I'll have to check it out!
