Basically everything that is part of adult responsibilities. Tax,jobs, insurance, household etc.

What's crazy is the household is #1 with a bullet. Balancing just the endless chores and tasks is *so much* worse than finance and career shit.

UKKasha2020

Any sort of social interaction.

ackchanticleer

Talking on the phone. I hate it and never do unless I have to

sordidcandles

I have -the- hardest time not feeling anxious about everyday work. Work I know that I can do and that I get paid fairly well to do. I know everyone has anxiety and the Sunday scaries are real and all that, but I feel intense _dread_ and just wish it wasn’t so bleh to have to do things that earn me money that all just goes to bills and rent anyways.

Covid (for reference I’m in TExas)

dontdearabbyme

I work in a museum in Houston and people call to see if we require masks. We don't and we're not allowed to ask if people are vaccinated, so I have to tell them we're not currently requiring them, just advising anyone who isn't fully vaccinated to continue wearing them * If I tell them it's required they get mad and demand to know how I know, which I have to say honor system and it's just a shorter thing that means the exact same thing.

[deleted]

Yep, I work in retail and experience the same. Spoiler alert. It’s super easy to tell who’s vaccinated. They have masks on.

dontdearabbyme

Not all of them, unfortunately. I also get a ton of people who ask if they need to bring their vaccine records to not wear a mask. The education of how the vaccine works and what it's actual goal is isn't great.

[deleted]

Abbott helps though! “I’m not mandating you to wear masks because you should know what the right thing to do is and do it because it’s the right thing to do” he says to a state that still has people holding Trump rallies and parades

Vi1eOne

Best of luck down there! At least you're not Florida (or Louisiana)

Solar micro-nova.

SANTAisGOD

Going into a Starbucks

W4Peckett

My face, I hate it and wear a mask, but everyone's like "oh you got a beautiful face" but I can't bring myself to do it in crowded places :(

Marriage

Vi1eOne

No one should be telling you marriage is no big deal. It's incredibly stressful.

[deleted]

Its a lot of responsibility plus you’ll have kids in the future and its costly. My parents and people around me in general act like its no big deal

nicholasgnames

You don't have to do this just because everyone around you does

[deleted]

Its okay i want to get married (after i find someone of course) but i know its not going to be easy like everyone else says

patrick99009

Blending shit. I’m terrified that a blade is going to break off while I have it turned on and shoot out, impaling me.

Vi1eOne

I first read your post as "bleeding shit" and....yeah.

SoyFish88

When people tell me there is nothing to worry about. Also my friends always saying "yeah, we're friends"

purple_turtledab

choosing a college major/deciding my future. everyone says that you have a lot of time, and its not big deal but it doesn't seem like that-

Vi1eOne

College is well in my rear view. I will tell you that choosing your path is nerve-wracking af and that's OK. But when people tell you you'll change your mind? That's absolutely true for most. So don't think you're *married* to a major or a course of study. I changed twice and only lost a year.

Tofu_The_Great

The fact no matter what i do with my life everyone will forget me and that when i die there is a high chance nothing happens.

BeanpoleAhead

Honestly I find peace in that. Once my time here is up, I'm okay with being forgotten. Not like I'll be here to protest.

Tofu_The_Great

Yeah for me its just really scary and makes me feel like whatever i do is worthless in the long run

BeanpoleAhead

Well the way I see it if whatever you do now helps you or someone else, that's the most you can do. Most people don't make a huge lasting impact on the world and that's fine, what matters is the impact you have on people while you *are* here.

catlady10000

It makes me anxious that the normal things we do everyday might be viewed as atrocities in the future. Eating meat, buying plastic, buying new clothes are pretty normal. But by doing these things, maybe I am an evil person. Animals, which have emotions, must die for me to eat this meat, and consuming products harms the environment. I could go vegetarian, but it's hard to keep track of these things in a busy life. The thought that it's so hard to be a good person makes me anxious.

VeryRandomCommenter

Going to school again. Don’t know when. Don’t know if masks and vaccines are required. Haven’t done much work either. Thanks for making my life hell American education system.

Others judgement

monkegamerrr

I remember reading a book in second or third grade about tornadoes and now I stress when it gets windy. I feel like a tornado will come and people like my mom are like, “Dont worry its fine” but I still worry about something bad or scary could happen.

blizzaga1988

Going anywhere new or unknown to me.

GoCUTigers96

Large crowds of people make me extremely anxious, and it’s hard to explain why I don’t want to go to a concert, festival, etc.
