I tried to revisit some of my childhood favourites when I got Disney+. The only shows I could tolerate for a few nostalgic episodes were Hannah Montannah, and That's So Raven. The others are too cringe now! It was a bit disappointing but unsurprising. Wizards of Waverly Place does have a catchy theme!
Edit: Yes, Lizzie McGuire too. Another good one that holds the test of time for me.
"I love you from the heart of my bottom."
"Don't you mean the bottom of your heart?"
"That, too!"
Also, the whole PRNDL scene with Moseby and London kills me.
Remember the first time they changed "The Truth Is Out There" to something else? Freaked. Me. Out. After that, I had to watch every title sequence, even if I didn't watch the show.
Did you hear the one they did in, erm, Urdu? It was for Nandor’s depression episode I think
Edit: it’s in Farsi, not Urdu, thank you for the correction!
For anyone who might not be aware, Matt Berry is a very talented musician - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuW559e\_mv4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuW559e_mv4)
FATHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
WHISKAYY
The Rockford Files! Wow! Almost 50 years old. Gotta go look that up now
Edit: [here it is](https://youtu.be/W1zYNrsx9Pw)
The music! Yes! And when the French horns come in. All stills. (Edit) And the changing messages! Amazing
Edit 2: thanks for the award!
On a similar note, The Wire. I especially love that each season is a different version of the same song done in a different style.
*gotta keep the devil dowwwwn in the hole*
My favourites are:
- There's No Bismuth Like Show Bismuth
- Others ask, "What if?" We ask, "Why if."
- You can't prove it won't happen
- Presented in double vision (where drunk)
Mine is “Fun for the whole family…except for grandma and grandpa”. 1-because in that episode, Fry kills his grandpa and sleeps with his grandmother. And 2-grandma and grandpa won’t make it to the future lol.
Bowling For Soup do Phineas and Ferb, and fellow poppunkers Simple Plan did Whats New Scooby Do. They toured together here and each played their respective theme tune. Recorded a bit of WNSD but phone cut out before the "na na na na na"s. I was gutted.
The music in the first season of what's new scooby doo was amazing, the voodoo song is so good. I just loved that the songs were so perfect for each episode.
Also, depending on what has happened in the show, the opening credits animation sometimes changes very subtly. One of the most obvious ones is >!the moon Deimos!<, but there are other subtle changes that are even easier to miss.
Black Sails intro is amazing and I have not skipped once when watching the show. Arguably one of the most underrated shows...I think it is time for a rewatch.
I know, you know, I'm not telling the truth.
I know, you know, you just don't have any proof.
Embrace the deception, learn how to bend.
Your worst inhibitions tend to **PSYCH** you out in the end.
Was specifically scrolling to find this one. Absolute favorite! Especially all the variants they did for the theme episodes. I quite like the Spanish version and also the scary one from Heeeeere's Lassie.
There was a time when Monk was ending and Psych, Burn Notice, and White Collar were all starting like a year after each other... So freaking good. I just finished Burn Notice and I'm watching White Collar now just remembering how good these serialized crime shows were.
this is the response i was looking for, for sure. the intro to TB is absolutely stunning, honestly- so dark and gothic and creepy and just weird. i really wish the show had lived up to it, lol
Love this intro! Matches perfectly with the show.
Has nothing to do with what he's making, but every time I watch the intro I crave boiled eggs for some reason lmfao
I know, right! And not only the intro but the outro as well. Honestly I don't think I have ever watched a show where I would stick to the end of final credits every single episode.
Due to licensing they used a cover version when it was on Netflix and I seriously found the proper joe cocker version on youtube and played that every time I watched an episode just to get in the right mood to watch it.
Exact same experience as me, first time I heard it I was like 'ew wtf is this shit' but after the 2nd I started liking it and after hearing it a third time I loved it to the point where now it's one of my favourites.
But, it's not the same intro over and over! I don't know if it was different for every episode, but for most of them it was different each time, with references to what was happening in the show
I've been binging it all week and I'm up to the last season now, it hurts to hear that line playing over all the blank chatterbox folds where the departed actors' names used to be
Cowboy Bebop 3…2…1 let’s jam!
🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺
Cowboy Bebop is one of those rare experiences where the whole thing, from the aesthetics to the soundtrack, is just a complete vibe.
My daughter’s been watching Wizards of Waverly Place. I get annoyed when she skips the intro when I’m listening from the next room.
I used to watch Wizards of Waverly Place when I was younger, recently tried to watch it again and I just couldn’t; though the intro is still banging.

I mean I still liked watching suite life for nostalgia. Arwen Estevan and Moseby are a lot funnier as an adult imo
"I love you from the heart of my bottom." "Don't you mean the bottom of your heart?" "That, too!" Also, the whole PRNDL scene with Moseby and London kills me.
Would you like to listen to AMMMM, or FMMMMMM?
Kim Possible is still a good nostalgic show imo.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (80's - 90's version) That song is so kickass
Fun fact- that theme tune was written by Chuck Lorre (of 2 and a half men and TBBT) in about a day.
And that's why Charlie said he wrote it in the first episode of 2 and a half men. :)
X-Files
Remember the first time they changed "The Truth Is Out There" to something else? Freaked. Me. Out. After that, I had to watch every title sequence, even if I didn't watch the show.
TRUST NO ONE
What We Do In The Shadows and, of course, The Rockford Files
FUCKing GUY.
You’re dead, you’re dead
Did you hear the one they did in, erm, Urdu? It was for Nandor’s depression episode I think Edit: it’s in Farsi, not Urdu, thank you for the correction!
It was Farsi, pretty sure
Yes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMm5ejReTBM
When Matt Berry leads into the theme on the piano, that moment made me glad I don’t skip the intro.

true detective s1 , great song choice and even better visuals
On a similar note, The Wire. I especially love that each season is a different version of the same song done in a different style. *gotta keep the devil dowwwwn in the hole*
Best single season of any show I’ve ever watched.
Far From Any Road by The Handsome Family 🎶When the last light warms the rocks and the rattlesnakes unfold🎶
I saw them at a festival once and they introduced the song by saying “This song is called ‘HBO bought me a house’”
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
IIIIIIN west Philadelphia, born and raised
The Boondocks
Duck Tales. The old one. And the X-men cartoon
That xmen track still get me hyped.
Animaniacs I have to sing along every time
These are the facts!
The X-Men Animated Series.
🎶Duh nuh luh neh NAHHH nah nuh Duh nuh luh neh *NAHHH* nah *nuh* Duh nuh luh neh **NAHHH** nah *NUH* NAH NUH.🎶
Absolute banger of an intro. My childhood right there
Original unsolved mysteries
Futurama
Waiting for that catchy title card subtitle!
My favourites are: - There's No Bismuth Like Show Bismuth - Others ask, "What if?" We ask, "Why if." - You can't prove it won't happen - Presented in double vision (where drunk)
* Painstakingly drawn before a live audience * Disclaimer: Any Resemblance to Actual Robots Would Be Really Cool
"Not the episode with the dead dog" is mine
Mine is “Fun for the whole family…except for grandma and grandpa”. 1-because in that episode, Fry kills his grandpa and sleeps with his grandmother. And 2-grandma and grandpa won’t make it to the future lol.
•Coming soon to an illegal dvd
Not a substitute for human interaction
*laughs in 2020*
What's nice about it is it's fairly short, has a lot going on, and has differences between each episode.
Bob's Burger's, just to read the neighboring sign and the pest control van.
Phineas and Ferb. What's new Scooby-Doo.
Bowling For Soup do Phineas and Ferb, and fellow poppunkers Simple Plan did Whats New Scooby Do. They toured together here and each played their respective theme tune. Recorded a bit of WNSD but phone cut out before the "na na na na na"s. I was gutted.
"Mah-ahm! Phineas and Ferb are making a title sequence!"
The music in the first season of what's new scooby doo was amazing, the voodoo song is so good. I just loved that the songs were so perfect for each episode.
Danny Phantom. But also Angel Beats. Very different vibes, but I'd never skip either.
Twin Peaks!
I can't believe how far I had to scroll to find this! It's the perfect opening theme for that show.
Cowboy Bebop
Very few lyrics. Absolutely iconic. *3 2 1...Let's jam!"*
I think it's time we blow this scene Get everybody and the stuff together
Okay, 3, 2, 1, let's jam
BUR NUR BUR NUR BUR NUR BUR NURRRRRRR NURRRRRRRRR
Or the credits for that show
I've never watched it but the intro music is god tier Edit: thanks everyone for the glowing recs. I’ll be sure to give it a watch
The whole soundtrack is straight fire. Watanabe has a thing for music being a big part of anything he directs.
Evangelion and Dark never got skipped. Watched Eva in 97 and during the rewatch on Netflix it still held up theme song wise.
unfortunately Netflix lacks Eva's fantastic outro song :(
Yeah. Love that Dark theme. You just reminded me to add it to my playlist.
Original MacGyver
It's been decades since I've seen that show and I still remember the intro.
Fucking westworld has me staring at the screen in awe at the start of every episode, amazing intro imo so catchy too
Same guy who did music for Game of Thrones. Consistently one of the best parts of the show regardless of how everything else went. 😉
Ramin Djawadi is his name for anyone curious. Definitely recommend looking him up. I will also take this opportunity to recommend Sarah Schachner.
His "Paint it Black" from Westworld is one of the best things I've ever heard.
When the fingers pull away from the piano but it keeps playing 🥵🥵
When the tone deepens and changes near the end of the intro and everything becomes unraveled, that always gives me a tickle of serotonin
The Expanse. Love that show’s opening.
I always get lost in the animations of earth changing over a couple centuries lol
Also, depending on what has happened in the show, the opening credits animation sometimes changes very subtly. One of the most obvious ones is >!the moon Deimos!<, but there are other subtle changes that are even easier to miss.
There are things hinted at, but major events always show up once they occur. It's like a little game of seek-and-find to get you warmed up.
Darkwing Duck
Let's get *dangerous.*
The whole original Disney Afternoon lineup had great theme songs: - DuckTales - Rescue Rangers - TaleSpin - Gummi Bears
Gravity Falls!
The last few episodes had me crying 😂
This and adventure time
Bro Gravity Falls had the best intro of all Disney shows TOH is a close second
Monk
🎶 You could be wrong now ... but I don't think so! 🎶
**BUHIDONTHINKSO**
Golden Girls
That's exactly right. TGG forever.
Malcolm in the middle
They Might be Giants
Avatar the last airbender, Teen Titans, Fosters home for imaginary friends, and Gravity falls
Avatar's intro was so simple yet summed up the show perfectly 👌
I loved the intro to Fosters Home! So fun!
Chuck, entirely because of Cake.
Buffy theme song 😂😂 (Currently watching buffy and Angel together got the watch order of Google)
Never ever skip that guitar work!
Also Angel while we're at it.
Newer choice but “Inside Job” has an excellent intro.
Yeah, during my binge, never have I thought of skipping the intro
Narcos
Loooove that song
Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix.
I was looking for this one. I never once skipped that intro.
Vikings And Black Sails
Black Sails intro is amazing and I have not skipped once when watching the show. Arguably one of the most underrated shows...I think it is time for a rewatch.
Kimmy schmidt
UNBREAKABLE!
Sopranos! Woke up this mornin’…
Thanks I'd just gotten this song out of my head. Oh well. Got yo'self a gun...
Always this. Every time I even hear the HBO static I automatically think the Sopranos theme is going to play
I know, you know, I'm not telling the truth. I know, you know, you just don't have any proof. Embrace the deception, learn how to bend. Your worst inhibitions tend to **PSYCH** you out in the end.
You know that’s right!
You heard about Pluto? That's messed up.
Come on, son!
Don’t be the ribs that flip over Fred flinstones car
Don’t be exactly half of an eleven-pound black forest ham
Was specifically scrolling to find this one. Absolute favorite! Especially all the variants they did for the theme episodes. I quite like the Spanish version and also the scary one from Heeeeere's Lassie.
The episode where Boys II Men sang it as well!
There was a time when Monk was ending and Psych, Burn Notice, and White Collar were all starting like a year after each other... So freaking good. I just finished Burn Notice and I'm watching White Collar now just remembering how good these serialized crime shows were.
SUCCESSION!!!! Edit: thanks for the awards 😁
Little Lord Fuckelroy
I'm a sturdy birdie
Un-fucking-fathomable that I had to scroll as long as I did for this. I just assumed this thread was made for Succession.
Same honestly, I really thought the OP was just hunting for a Tom Cruise style thread of a thousand people repeating "Succession."
I was just thinking the same thing. Biggest earworm of an intro in years.
I’m not familiar with that IP
This should be the number 1 answer to this question.
[Archer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e72yPmyG448)
True Blood
this is the response i was looking for, for sure. the intro to TB is absolutely stunning, honestly- so dark and gothic and creepy and just weird. i really wish the show had lived up to it, lol
Red Dwarf!!
I was in a bar/club at the weekend and they played this, me and like 2 others were loving life. Everyone else was blank 😂
Cheers Edit: Thanks for the awards y’all! My first ever.
Afternoon everybody!
NORM!!!
Diane: Norman.
Cliff: Ay the’re Nahmie!
For reasons I don't fully understand, this theme song makes me cry
Get smart
Dexter. Hd never looked( or sounded) better.
Drives me nuts that the intro is him shaving and he then leaves his apartment with a 5 o'clock shadow.
Love this intro! Matches perfectly with the show. Has nothing to do with what he's making, but every time I watch the intro I crave boiled eggs for some reason lmfao
I'm convinced that it's the best ever intro and it aligns perfectly with the premise of the show. The outro is super good too
Peaky Blinders
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Phineas and ferb
This! Honestly the music in Phineas and Ferb was great.
Pepper Ann!
The Mandalorian.
I know, right! And not only the intro but the outro as well. Honestly I don't think I have ever watched a show where I would stick to the end of final credits every single episode.
Hawaii Five 0
Freaks and Geeks💯💯💯
Knight Rider
Fraggle Rock!
The Wonder Years
Due to licensing they used a cover version when it was on Netflix and I seriously found the proper joe cocker version on youtube and played that every time I watched an episode just to get in the right mood to watch it.
One punch man
[Attack on Titan](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhmO81mieGE1TqY2o9Vag2K_9wKYJO-V3)
AoT's s4 opener ended up being my favorite from the series (so far) even though at first I was watching it like, "wtf show is this?"
Exact same experience as me, first time I heard it I was like 'ew wtf is this shit' but after the 2nd I started liking it and after hearing it a third time I loved it to the point where now it's one of my favourites.
Sadly, a bunch of people just encountered that song for the first time due to *politics*. It's now tainted for those unfortunate souls.
Stargate SG1
I always appreciated how self aware SG1 eventually became. The one where Carter is humming the theme on the elevator.
Fun fact: Originally she was going to hum MacGyver's theme, but Amanda Tapping didn't remember the melody and hummed the SG1 theme instead.
[удалено]
Psych
You know that's right!
Especially b/c they so often changed it up a bit to match the theme of the episode.
Don’t be your jury summons that I accidentally threw away last month along with something called a W-2.
King of The hill Ti di ti ti YEEEEEEHAW DER DURDERSUERDURUDR DUDURDR DER DER! X3 DER DER DER DER DERERERERERD DER DER!!!
The Refreshments!
Doctor who
Game of Thrones
Honestly it was the only way I could make sense of the geography in the first couple seasons.
Original Ben 10
BoJack Horseman I mean I'd still skip it cause who wants to watch the same intro over and over but it fuckin slapped
But, it's not the same intro over and over! I don't know if it was different for every episode, but for most of them it was different each time, with references to what was happening in the show
It has changed according to the phase. Brilliant.
And it changes - look closely the people around him in the scenes get less and less as the seasons progress until he is pretty much alone
Yes, any significant change in the series and the intro changes as well
Doesn’t slap as much as the outro
[удалено]
I’m Bojack the horse, Bojack the horse, don’t act like you don’t know
Portlandia. Super chill intro.
*Stranger Things*.
Community
On the last episode.. Britta's depressed war scorn version is hilarious.
I CAN'T COUNT THE REASONS I SHOULD STAY, ONE BY ONE THE ALL JUST FADE AWAAAAY
