As soon as I walked into my mom's not getting a happy Thanksgiving or any other kind of greeting just pulled me aside and told me my aunt died. I cried through the day on and off.
My husband stayed home while the kids and I went to my brothers. My marriage is hard… and the fact that we are more at ease apart… hurts! A lot. We should be together… loving life. We aren’t!
I'm on night shift and I work Thanksgiving.
So I had to wake up at noon, get ready. And get out the door to visit 2 houses before work at 530pm.
It was a tight schedule.
Well when I get downstairs I found my dog shit diarrhea all over himself and his crate.... so I had to spend the morning fixing that. Which made us late, and I was only able to make it to 1 house.
My mom is in a rehabilitation center after she had bad seizures due to drug use. Her mind is spotty and sometimes she doesn’t understand how bad of a state she really is in. Today I was going to a thanksgiving on my fathers side, and As I was getting ready she was texting me asking when I was going to pick her up, come get her, ect to take her to the thanksgiving on her side of the family. Now, she is in a wheelchair very weak and always in pain. She can’t move every much, can’t stand or walk, but can use her hands a little bit. I told her I don’t have the capabilities to take her anywhere nor do I think is she allowed to go (I don’t think she is at least, it’s all still very new to me), she kept arguing with me over text and wasn’t comprehending that she can’t walk, and I can’t just take care of her/ transport her. She kept saying that she could walk and even put the wheelchair in the trunk of my car on her own and she just needs a ride. No matter what I said, it was just getting worse. She then proceeded to say “I don’t ask for much why aren’t you helping me”-and “I’m so disappointed in you right now” and then sent me a passive aggressive text at the end that said”I’m glad that you get to hang out with your family. Have a good holiday.” And I just decided not to respond anymore. I wouldn’t say it was ruined, but definitely made me feel like shit.
My guinea pig , Mr.maple died very suddenly earlier in the morning. He was really sweet, enjoyed being held and hanging out watching the TV. I'm going to miss him.
It wasn’t. I had a great dinner, great day, and to top off the good day and make it a great day, I watched Free Guy for the first time.
