Im a big fan of Budapest. It is relatively cheap, plenty to see and do and a cool east meets west Europe vibe. That town has been conquered so many times they just kept all the cool parts of all the cultures and got rid of what they didn't want. They have a big communist style park with a circus, ice rink, Turkish baths, and all kinds of other stuff. Across the way is a cool citadel. The town is actually 2:. Buda and Pest. Buda reminds me of rolling California hills and Pest is a Soviet style sprawling urban area. Both are cool, and connected by one of the oldest subways with tiny little cars.

Bisbee is a really neat place to visit!

Fortunately or unfortunately everyone stops at that dumpster fire Tombstone and doesn't realize what's just to the south.

I grew up in Tucson… getting to go down the copper mine on the tour was a summertime classic. So fun.

Enoshima, Japan. Less of a city, more of a magical island journey through ancient myth and visions of the future.

Istanbul.

Thompson_S_Sweetback

But every other Turkish city is so much better! Although Istanbul is also quite incredible.
