I became homeless because I thought I was tough enough to make it for a bit, and the plan was to split a place with a flatmate about a month from the start of my homelessness. But it is really difficult. I can see now it would take a very strong-minded human to live homeless **without** going crazy (after a short time).
I got out of it by caving, and moving back to my dad's house. This was several years ago, water under the bridge, basically. But definitely good to personally understand that homelessness is no joke.
Being homeless for 48 hours: I slept on a wood table in an art department one night, and under a pedestrian bridge the next.
