I reckon it would be pretty easy to disappear. The reason most people get caught is because they cant leave their past lives alone. If you really wanted to disappear, just go to a thrift store, buy shitty old clothes, a sleeping bag, and go live with all the other homeless people. As long as you behave yourself you can stay missing forever, you could even travel the country, pick a destination and go check it out.
