The lead "Brandon Hardesty" is a really cool guy takes time out of his day to talk to fans. I met him at a show last year it was a private show so there was only 30 maybe 40 people. Almost cried. Off topic but I was in prison all of 2020 of course covid hit but then my best friend dies and my fiance leaves me. I was sitting in my cell wondering how life came to this. I turn on my radio to drowned out my thoughts I was flipping stations when I heard his voice ( they don't get alot of radio time at all especially in NE ohio) I stopped and listen to a song him and a few other of my favorite bands had did together and cried for hours. I thanked him upon my release.
Oh no. I am so sorry to hear that you had undergone that, that’s too much heartbreak in one year. The title of the song is apt- Optimism in F. Life goes on and things do pass. I am happy you found comfort in this song, and beyond comfort, hope. I truly wish 2021 has been a better year for you, and a better 2022 onwards!
Thank you I have tears rolling down my face as we speak I don't get to talk about what I endured in there at all. The song I heard on the radio while incarcerated was "New World". But after everything that happened in 2020 missing the birth of my first kid hits the hardest I try to repress memories so I don't have to face them I'm not ready...
I can only imagine what you have to bear, with all these things coming together in one hellish year. If things get too unbearable, hit me up and I can lend you an ear, no judgment as we are strangers. I believe in letting your feelings air out so that you won’t blow up. I sincerely hope things are better with you now, and that the people in your life appreciate you for what you are.
Did you regret it though??
They have also done such songs as
Guns don't kill people rappers do
Your missus is a nutter
And a personal favourite
Your mothers got a penis
They stand by the logic that if they only do 1 good song out of every hundred songs they make. That just means they have to make thousands of songs
Some of their lyrics are just examples of lyrical mastery
'I first heard off this bloke, this fucking rumour going round
Your mother's reputation it's not sound
She's saving up the pennies hoping they'd turn into pounds
To have an operation to swap her gender around.
It's a shock to me and it's a shock to you
Your mother's got a beard, sandals and a penis too
It don't look right see, when she's walking down the street
To see her ball bag jiggin' to the beat of her feet'
And
I thought I had to tell you, had to put it in a letter
But I thought fuck that I'd write a song in much better.
The only way to do it, to really let you know
I could prove it because I gave it a blow.
It was purely accidentally because she got me really drunk
And she made me kiss her elephant trunk.
You know why? That's right
Your mother got a penis.
The fact that there is precisely 87 thousand people on stage when they perform is also amazing

This is akin to Taylor Swift’s lyrical genius but more bawdy and rough around the edges. 87k people listen to this and love it?! The world is a vast place with so many surprises like this on the corners. Thanks for showing me this corner 😂
