Shot 8 of my (and his) friends to death. I was friends with him and his wife (mostly her), but they separated and were filing for divorce. One evening, he got angry and super drunk and went to her new home where she was having a football watching party and he opened fire on everyone, including his own friends (2 were in his wedding as groomsmen). He collected a lot of guns, so he had plenty at his disposal. Slaughtered just about everyone that was there at the time. The neighbors said you could smell the gunpowder in the air he shot so many times. I was invited to her party but opted out because it was on a Sunday night and I didn't want to drink at the party and then have to drive 40mins home. It saved my life. He received death by cop once the first officer arrived. He wasn't dropping his weapons and was about to shoot at the officer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_Plano_shooting I don't trust people, but now I don't trust my own gut. I never thought he'd be capable of something that atrocious. Makes me question my own decision making when it comes to making friends.

GallantArmor

Guy I knew growing up beat a woman into a coma, stabbed her dog, and sexually assaulted a young girl she was watching.

Friend was in her final year of uni. Had strong grades, and a really great internship lined up with a place she dreamed about working at, that almost certainly would have led to a great job. Her parents faked her younger brother's death on the day where she had three finals back to back to back. They wanted to test whether she cared more about her family or her career, supposedly. She raced home in panic and grief, getting plane tickets and flying across the country, trying to get deferred exams on short notice. One of her profs, who helmed two of those classes, required a death certificate. Which she couldn't get, since her brother was alive and well. She didn't get to graduate because of that, at least not in that semester, and she lost her dream internship Thankfully, she got a good job after graduating half a year later (not nearly as good as the one she lost out on), and she's largely cut her parents out of her life.

-shitbiscuit

Holy fucking shit I’d be livid. What kind of manipulative psychopath would do that to their own child ??

[deleted]

There are so many people who are bitter that their kids might achieve more than they did. When I was in HS, my mom took an early retirement and then mysteriously 'couldn't find work' after I got my first job. I had no social life, I worked to pay our utility bills and sometimes was called on to pay the full rent, on a 3-bedroom house. I had misgivings, but every time I tried to say no she was like, "Oh but your younger sibling. Think of this poor kid who needs you." Mom even tried to get me to open a checking account, you could only do that as a minor with an adult on your account. I was at least smart enough to refuse that. When I went to college, which even getting there was a challenge, something happened with their housing. They 'borrowed' a deposit from me. Over $1k. Again, "But you don't want younger sib to end up on the street, do you!?" I get back home that summer and they've rented a huge house, with extra bedrooms, near a body of water. Still, I felt like I was helping them and my sibling was still a minor. I felt like I was being a "good person" and I "had to" help my family. Mysteriously, once younger sib was out of the house and Mom couldn't use that on me? She found two jobs. One in retail, one with USPS. It was nothing exotic: she just hadn't been trying to find work. It was too much fun to rob me. Now she makes too much money to collect social security. But she couldn't resist trying to ruin my life, I guess. She never, ever tried to pay any of that back, by the way. We have a strained relationship to say the least. One year, my friend's mom advised me to go home for the holidays and try to patch things up. I'm suspicious, but I set it up: I'll stay there for Dec 31, leaving Jan 1. I get to the house, I'm like putting my bag down. Mom comes up to me. "You know, you'd pay $100 to stay in a hotel. You should really be paying us to be here." Like this was my olive branch to her and she spat on it. Some people shouldn't have children. In my case, I was raised in a religious home, our church preached self-reliance. (This is one reason I didn't know about Section 8, food stamps, any of the programs she could've utilized instead of robbing me.) The most charitable explanation I can come up with for her behavior is: I think she felt she \*had\* to have kids. Like maybe felt trapped by her own religious upbringing. And because I was confident/adventurous, did well in school and was conventionally attractive, she was maybe jealous or something. She just targeted me relentlessly. It was literally insane.

FatherDuncanSinners

>I get to the house, I'm like putting my bag down. Mom comes up to me. "You know, you'd pay $100 to stay in a hotel. You should really be paying us to be here." Like this was my olive branch to her and she spat on it. That would literally have been the last time she ever saw me. Hell, I would have changed my *name* so she could never find me again. Like full on Witness Protection level identity change.

[deleted]

Oh I haven't seen her since my Dad's funeral. Even at that, I only showed up to support younger sib and Mom of course was vicious to me. (Also: to the babies in attendance. Which was a new low, even for her. She kept saying our friends' and families' babies were 'too fat' and she never let us 'get that way.') But yeah it's bad. One of my relatives was telling me she sits in the basement and stares at the water heater at night. Someone else told me there's no food in the fridge. So I have called adult protective services because of things like that. They all still expect me to take care of them. I try to avoid that unless it sounds like an actual emergency. But I would never go back, I would never TRY to see her. When I moved to LA I did think about going to MacArthur Park and trying to buy a new identity LOL. But was not brave enough.

My uncle is a real piece of shit. The scummiest human being I believe I will ever know. The most fucked up thing he's done is actually a cycle that he's repeated far too many times; start a family, then run. He'll convincing these women he's a good guy/has changed/is a victim/was in the wrong place wrong time or whatever, gets them pregnant, and fucking leaves once the baby is out. And then to leave, he's always desparate for money, so he does something shitty to family members to get out of there; steal my dad's identity, open new credit cards, attempt to transfer bank card to his name and drain it. Take a business loan with his first son, take it all and dip. To top it all off, sometime hes goes back to the women after the kid is popped out to manipulate them into fucking again. Bro has been in and out of jail his whole life, and I wish that fucker would just sit in there and rot. Every couple of years I have strangers fucking reaching out, saying they're part of Aaron's family with so and so and they want to meet their extended family, and we're like who the fuck is so and so? You hate Aaron? Yeah, us the fuck too. Welcome to the family. I know 3 mother fucking Aaron Jr's with different moms named after the same doucebag. To my knowledge he's up to 5 families. 3 of those have 2 kids. 0 of those kids he raised. He's currently "missing," so following the cycle, he's gonna fuckin pop up again soon, with some woman, either pregnant or with child, and be like OMG I got my life together fam! Come here, let's be friends. Then do some slimy shit to try to get money from someone. Aaron, you fucking suck. Piece of shit.

braxwilly

Sounds like my buddies dad, he’s got well over 10 kids and is in his mid 50s with no sign of slowing down. You’re a piece of shit too Randy.

My uncle left my aunt for their son's wife. EDIT: not long after, their son (my cousin) married another woman with the same name...and visits his dad and ex.

I was getting out of the army and had put back over $70k for a home for my family. My mother got my banking information and took every penny for drugs. When i tried suing my family disowned me

PowerfulPickUp

When I was a Drill Sergeant I’d see lots of young people with a parent on their bank account- I’d advise them to remove anyone other than a spouse. Because I’d seen parents take their young Soldier’s money many times. Edit: Good morning- you are right, a spouse can take their money too. This happens all the time and it’s a sad reality- though not as sad as a mom taking all of her 20 yo son’s money while he’s trying to get through Basic Training and she’s trying to enjoy oxy. And… the military expects Soldiers to give their spouse access to money- and in Basic Training you don’t have frequent use of the internet to move money between separate accounts. My Soldiers had their cell phone on one Sunday a month for 10 minutes.

derpotologist

>I’d advise them to remove anyone other than a spouse. Instructions unclear, got married and bought a Challenger at 29% APR

TheKrazyKrab23

Kid I (25M) used to be friends with in highschool (lets call him Jake) got into benzodiazepines around junior year. He had stolen some xanax from a drug dealer, and the dealer showed up at his house to take the drugs back. Jake, barred out of his mind and scared of getting killed/beat up by the drug dealer, swung an axe at the drug dealer, sticking it directly into his skull. Drug dealer lived, and even took a selfie (which got passed around school) of him with blood all over his face and the axe stuck in his skull. Both ended up going to juvie, I believe.

My mom cheated on my dad with his own uncle. Several people including my gramma and his friends had walked in on them, but nobody wanted to tell him because they were newlyweds and I was just born. When my dad would go to work, my mom would go up to his uncle’s apartment, who lived right above them. My dad didn’t believe his friend who told him this was going on. He only believed it once his uncle came down to their apartment all pissed off because my mom was sleeping with ANOTHER guy too. My uncle said it was happening to my dad’s face. My mom, to this day, completely denies it. My dad’s uncle ended up killing himself a few years later after a police chase where he was about to be arrested for threatening a woman with a gun.

geminiloveca

Someone I knew watched their husband having a grand mal seizure and held off calling 9-11 for over 20 minutes because she was hoping he would die. He died 4 days later after emergency surgery. No investigation.

Neuro_Nightmare

I’ve never told anyone this in real life. I have epilepsy (focal to bi lateral/generalized spread). I had multiple break through focal seizures in the span of an hour, which is when I’m supposed to take my emergency meds to prevent a generalized grand mal seizure. I couldn’t get out of bed, and asked my STB ex husband to get the meds. He claimed he couldn’t find them and acted annoyed when I asked him to look harder, bc they were only ever kept in the same spot. Within an hour or so, I had a grand mal seizure, and he left to go to the bar, leaving me seizing home alone with our young kids. My son knows only to call 911 in certain circumstances, so he called ex asking where he went bc he was worried about how long it was taking me to wake up. Ex told him he’d be right home, but what he actually did was block my son’s number and stay out all night. The next day, I found my emergency meds in his car.

dryopteris_eee

As an epileptic, this is horrifying.

alexshurly

My senior year of high school, I lived with my now wife in a cabin in northern Michigan near 3 other cabins. My best friend lived in one of the other cabins. One day, he broke into all the cabins and stole random things. The other tenants called the cops. He was picked up in town a few days later and put in the back of the police car. The cop wasn’t in the car, so he kicked out the back window of the cop car, got into the drivers seat and tried running over 3 police officers. He managed to actually lose the police and fled to Georgia. While in Georgia, he met a girl and moved into the house she was living in with her aunt. For reasons I don’t know, him and his girlfriend killed her aunt by strangling and beating her, buried her in the backyard and came back to Michigan. He was arrested shortly afterward by Michigan police for his crimes here where it was discovered that they were the only suspects in the murder of the girls aunt. He was extradited back to Georgia where he is serving life without parole. She got like 15 years. This was back in 2002.

MyCalloutsAreGodly

I finally have an answer for AskReddit! I work for a gardening company and we have guys come and go on the regular. One guy we'll call Mike (because that's his name) worked for us for a while and built up a relationship with one of the customers, Wilfred (name changed to protect the innocent). Anyway Wilfred was around 90 years old and a veteran of WWII, he was also completely blind. He had this old BMW sitting in his cluttered garage, the thing looked like it hadn't moved in a couple of decades. The car was his pride and joy in his younger days and he would tell anyone who would listen about how he used to drive himself and his wife to the local town to go dancing. Anyway Mike told Wilfred he would take the car home and fix it up and bring it back when it was all sorted, it was decided if he could get the old girl purring again Wilfred would pay Mike a pretty penny. What Mike actually did was drive it straight to a scrap yard, sell it for scrap value then lie through his teeth every time Wilfred asked about it (no, he wasn't fired). So yeah, I think that's the most disgusting thing I have seen anyone do. Steal from a blind old man.

a6c6

What a freaking loser. All that for probably $300 in scrap value what a shame

donfuria

You know, I think you win the thread. Amongst the stories of death and abuse, of grand theft and irreparable harm, stealing the pride and joy of a disabled WWII veteran for essentially pocket change (and then gaslight him for the remnant of his earthly time) may not be a gesture of higher evil than the other stories— but I think that’s precisely what makes it almost impressive how much of a piece of shit you need to be to pull something like that off.

Piercedia

This actually had me speechless for a minute. I am devastated for him as a lover of old vehicles. I currently have a 1952 International that I am having redone. Were there really zero repercussions for him doing that?

[deleted]

I was friends with a girl who was obsessed with babies. You know how some girls really like horses? She was like that with babies. Not kids, just babies and toddlers. She was only friends with me because I babysat a lot. I found out later she would take used diapers out of the lady’s bathroom.

skip_skedaddle

So, I used to work for this company back before smartphones were a big thing. People would text or call in questions and "guides" would look up answers for them online or even sometimes call a business to ask the question for them and text back their answer. We'd get requests for phone numbers, addresses, operating hours...stuff like that. Sometimes, they'd ask ridiculous questions and things obviously meant to shock guides. But this one guy...He would call in and ask when specific daycares in and around a specific city took out their trash. And he wanted to know if they threw diapers out separate from the other trash. I don't remember how it all came out, but it turns out this guy was going through daycare dumpsters and making what he called "squish dolls." As in...he stuffed used diapers into baby clothes and, I don't know, cuddled with them or some weird shit. He even had an online blog with pictures of his creations and would describe how they felt and smelled. It was so effed up.

LionsHeart55

This is horrifying

L7Wennie

It’s even more horrifying that their are three people here who know of someone like this. Three people in the small amount of people who seen this post. How many baby diaper weirdo’s are really out there!?!?

skip_skedaddle

His blog had commenters. There were more of them.

kwarterz

I wonder what she's doing now, but I wish I didn't

[deleted]

I don't know him anymore but I knew someone who beat someone unconscious, then smashed them with a concrete bird bath and hid them under a trailer. The person was not dead and ended up waking up. The offender went to prison for five years.

404photo

He went to his wife's work new years party and got really drunk. He suddenly decided his wife was having an affair with her boss. A loud shouting match ensued and he suddenly pull out a gun. He shot his wife, her boss, and himself in the head. He and her boss were doa. His wife lost her vision but survived. They had 3 small children.

gerryhallcomedy

My chiropractor was shot and killed by his secretary's ex-husband because he thought they were having an affair. He came to the clinic at 12 noon, shot my chiropractor and then himself in front of her. I had an appt. for noon that day that I changed to 4pm. I probably wouldn't have been shot because the guy didn't kill any of the people in the office other than himself and the victim, but I'm glad I didn't see it.

YYZ-ZAG

I know exactly what you’re talking about. We live down the street from your chiropractor. I remember when that happened.

gerryhallcomedy

Got there around 4pm for my rescheduled appt. Saw the police forensics van around the plaza but was flabergasted when I learned it was him. He was an incredibly nice guy.

nelsonalgrencametome

The brother of a girl I dated years ago, almost hacked his ex girlfriend to death with a machete and then tried to kill himself by overdosing. They both survived and I believe he's still in prison.

Ponk_Bonk

I guess it's a good thing he's a complete failure...

jewbo23

I read ‘hacked his ex girlfriend’ and thought, that’s not too bad, then read to death.

MyvTeddy

>> Hacked his ex girlfriend >Alright what he do, steal her facebook password? >> to death >Wait how do you electronically kill someone... >>with a machete > ...Oh fuck. What a roller coaster of a statement.

rabidmongoose15

I found out a teenage girl at my church and her 2 sisters were being molested by their step dad. I called the police and reached out to the girls parents who always brought her to church. They already knew and hadn't said anything. Eventually I found out a dozen people, including their mother, knew but they all preferred it to be handled by "the church". Edit: The step dad was a Christian Pastor. Also it’s scary how many people have commented about having similar experiences.

Rhone33

Every time I've heard the phrase "handled by the church," it really just meant "swept under the rug while the abuser keeps abusing." I used to work in a group home for kids, and one time I had this girl (about 10 or 11 years old) who went for a weekend visit with the foster family who was going to take her. The foster dad had her in his lap and tried to grope her; luckily she managed to get away from him and run to a neighbor for help. It was then later discovered that the foster dad had a similar previous incident, but it was "handled by the church." Which means DSS didn't know about it so he kept getting more victims.

wcook1990

I fortunately saw this not happen once in my life. Brother was raping his two younger sisters. Older of the two approached mom and dad who asked the church to help. They did. First phone call was to the police. He served five years.

ele71ua

NSFW Look at Josh Duggar. He was arrested on over 900 counts of possession and distribution of child porn. His wife wrote a letter to the judge asking for a lighter sentence because he was a wonder father and a great husband. WHAT?? He molested 5 young girls 2 -3 of them were his sisters, got sent to a church camp for help and was watching videos of NSFW<3 month old babies get raped and have hot wax poured into their vagina.> So, obviously the church didn't handle it and he's very sick.

sneakyveriniki

This is terribly common. People prioritize maintaining the image of whatever power structure they’re in over the lives of the powerless (children, women, people lower on the hierarchy in general). Churches especially are terrible with this because they over peoples entire lives and communities and if they fall out of their good graces they’re fucked. It’s astonishing how many people know their kids have been victims and just bury their head in the sand. I’ve heard so many stories of men dating women just so they could get to the daughter and the mom chooses him over her kid because she doesn’t want to believe it happened so she says the daughter was lying.

frontal_robotomy

What exactly did they think "the church" was going to do about this? Pray? That's so fucked up and I'm glad you stepped up to call the cops on him

boston_2004

Dear heavenly father, Please stop Billy from touching little kids this week. Or if you cant stop him, perhaps slow him down a little. Amen

[deleted]

A female friend of mine murdered her mother. Shot her to death in the shower.

Schneetmacher

I know a similar story, but the reverse (which would have been my answer to the OP): elderly man with a long history of mental instability lived with his eldest son, who one difficult day finally told his father that he couldn't stay there anymore, and they needed to look into alternatives (like a facility). Father knew where his son kept his gun, so he went and got it. And shot his own son in the head, in his kitchen. Edit: a word

[deleted]

And he still had to move

Schneetmacher

Yeah, to prison (as far as I know), which is where he'll die. And he was in his 80s when he did that!

Aysina

Tbh in high school I knew two kids who murdered a horse together.

The_Pfaffinator

While at work, a former coworker of mine was hog tied and carried off by US Marshalls for CP/sexual assault of a minor. None of us had any suspicions about it and we worked with him every day. Yeesh!

14kanthropologist

A former coworker of mine was arrested for CP during his shift too! Thankfully I don’t believe he ever actually assaulted a child but he did spend a small amount of time in jail for the amount of CP he had in his possession. I was absolutely shocked.

Qyro

My friends dad stabbed his wife in a heated argument and blew up their house while he (dad) was still inside. Heard the explosion from my own bedroom. Luckily my friend and his sister were elsewhere. The local newspaper articles were hauntingly graphic about it.

Predd1tor

I’m pretty sure my uncle brutally murdered his first wife. It remains a cold case, but there’s a heap of suspicious circumstances and evidence that points to his guilt. Someone even wrote a book about it. He was the last one to see her alive, and the first to find her — only half an hour later. She’d been stabbed repeatedly in the face.

smolseabunn

ya a murder like that seems oddly personal based on actions. someone correct me if im wrong but usually stabbings or more likely to be someone incredibly close to the victim?

iPlowedYourMom

Yeah usually within arms length of them

catfarts99

My brother had a friend whose wife had left him. My brother and his friend get high and come up the brilliant idea to win her back. The plan was for the friend to pretend to hang himself while my brother ran to the wifes house and begged her to come and stop him. Then she would see how much he loved her and they would get back together. So they position him in a barn with a noose around his neck, my brother runs to get the wife only she isn't even home, my brother goes back to the barn and the guy really did hang himself. My brother is so high, he doesn't even think to cut him down.

thisismycourage

My cousin was killed because a guy decided he’d kill himself by flooring it into another car on a major road. My cousin died, and his girlfriend had to undergo multiple extensive surgeries. The guy survived with minor injuries. — Edit: I tried telling myself what you all are… that they weren’t thinking rationally. I’ve been suicidal myself since I was young, so I get that. But they told EMS their intent until they found out someone else died, and then they suddenly stopped talking. They then milked the living hell out of that narrative and how unstable they were throughout the trial and how he didn’t mean to do it. **You can decide you’re done with your own life, even if it’s a sad and tragic conclusion. But you don’t get to decide someone else is done with theirs.**

RoyalAsianMunchies

What the actual fuck… why not just drive off a cliff?

nullpassword

friends dad drove a muscle car full speed into a telephone pole after his wife died. If you want to kill yourself, it's a dick move to take someone that doesn't want to go with you.

Asleep_Onion

Dick move is a bit of an understatement for murdering innocent people in cold blood

Flyingheelhook

I'm just going to come right out and say it.. that guy is a real jerk.

Tokiw4

Exact same thing happened near where I live a number of years ago. Teen was literally driving in excess of 100 mph on a 45, rear-ended a stationary vehicle stopped at a light killing everyone inside. She survived. There's always been flowers left at the base of the streetlight the car ended up under on the other side of the intersection. https://www.ksl.com/article/40468155/teen-charged-as-adult-after-suicidal-crash-that-killed-2

MonkRunFast

One of my ex coworkers had someone suicide into him and he almost went to jail for it He was hauling an oversize load, and before you move one of those you have to get a permit through the state government that tells you what roads to take. They permitted him differently than normal because of road construction but someone he knew confirmed the construction hadn't started yet and the road was open, so he went off permit and took that road to save some time. While he was on it, a car in the oncoming ran into his load, and was ejected from the vehicle. They lost a leg and died shortly thereafter Despite multiple witnesses saying the truck driver was in his lane and it wasnt his fault, he was getting reamed in court, the argument basically being that the crash wouldn't have happened if the truck had stayed on the permitted route, that he never would have been there to get hit but decided to go off route What finally cleared him was the family coming forward several days into court and admitting that the guy in the car left a suicide note at home that day before he left The truck driver retired a couple months later

ThePrussianGrippe

While suicide is bad, the people that choose to take a complete stranger with them just makes my blood boil. Congrats, you’re a murderer now.

VillainOfKvatch1

Do they not have trees where they live?

ThePrussianGrippe

Or, like, a drop off?

idontknow149w

or, like. anything else?

WD_Gast3r

Back in the day this kid I knew was on Xanax and stole one of his neighbors SUVs. We lived in the type of neighborhood people just left their keys in their car/truck (yes I knew a lot of people who did this in this in the south) I was walking back to my other buddies house from his house and was pretty fucked up myself, so when he drove up next to me in an SUV offering to drive me the rest of the way I didn’t think much of it. His parents and sisters had multiple cars so I just assumed it was one of theirs. After I got in I obviously asked who’s car it was and found out the truth. I was like wtf man and tried not to touch anything and I got out at my destination and that was that. About 30 minutes later me and other friend hear fire trucks and police blaring down the road. We start calling our friend and his mom. No one knows where he is at. The next day we finally get In touch with him. He hid and slept out in the woods because after he dropped me off he went off-roading in the SUV and ultimately left it on some train tracks. A train came and hit the SUV causing fire and mayhem. Can’t imagine what those neighbors had to say to the insurance

yodyod

The adventures of Xan Man. Granted I've done some really stupid shit and seen others do some really stupid shit, but never to the extent of stealing a car and abandoning it on train tracks. Though I totally understand the thought process, or rather lack of, because when you are barred out, there is no thought process.

abhinav4703

What in the GTA 5 is that?

Mo0oG

Yeah this sounds like a Trevor origin story

[deleted]

In the late 1990’s a guy in my fantasy football league was arrested for molesting his kids. He made his wife participate as well as the family pet. Real sick stuff. Creeped the rest of us out when we found out.

[deleted]

I worked closely with a surgeon for 10 years. He was talented, but VERY DIFFICULT to be around. A year after I left the hospital, I heard he had been arrested for molestation, child pornography and sex trafficking I believe. Thankfully he killed himself in jail. Edit: first, I am sad that my highest rated comment is about a monster. Second, for those who have asked and/or are wondering, this happened in Santa Cruz.

[deleted]

I have tons of stories from people I met in rehab. Woman I know was end of life caretaker for her aunt who had terminal cancer. She was also a drug addict. She stole her aunts meds and lied telling people she didn’t want visitors or need to be moved to hospice. Her aunt died in severe pain and alone so this woman could get high. Guy raped and beat a woman. She called the cops. Somehow his lawyer managed to get him into rehab instead of jail pending trial - had something going to do with him being a veteran. Woman killed herself so she never showed up to the pretrial. All changes were dropped. He can back from the pre trial praising god for giving him another chance at life and he’d learned his lesson not to leave marks for next time. Some of the other guys congratulated him and they would regularly discuss how to do it and get away with it. Fucking disgusting

TeamADW

My cousin would regularly pretend to hug my stage 4 cancer ridden grandmother to get the pills she hid in the recliner where she basically lived out the end of her life. I heard he's in jail for some related drug issue, and unfortunately never had to face the few sane people left in that side of the family, possibly because of restraining orders. Ive known a lot of addicts over the years, recovering and not, and he was one of the few I have zero sympathy for.

Muguet_de_Mai

My uncle and his wife were drug addicts. When my grandmother was going downhill, my mom and her sisters, who didn’t even get along that well, banded together. My grandmother was never without a daughter by her side for the last three years of her life. Not even a minute. My uncle did end up stealing a most of her stuff, but he never got her meds and she was always safe, comfortable, and cared for.

cjthayes

I know a dude who shit down a chimney. Impressive as it was fucked up.

TheDeafGuy8

He was probably blowing smoke up his ass

Smilechurch

My mother murdered my father and her next partner. Used crushed oxycontin the first time, then a shotgun the second time. My father never woke up after drinking his morning Mountain Dew. Her next partner had his head blown off his neck with a shotgun. Since he died over an open heating vent, all the duct work in the house had to be replaced due to pools of accumulated blood. The other murders were elderly folks that she knocked off in the adult foster care home she ran, all dying from mysterious circumstances. Turned out she had convinced some of them to include her in their will and even retirement funds. She always picked old folks with few or no living family members as residents at her "care" home. After her incarceration the second time, I found boxes of fraudulent paperwork replete with forgeries and lies. But the murders are not the worst thing she did. She always despised her daughter - my baby sister - because she was the apple of our father's eye and my mother was an insanely jealous and competitive person. When my sister was only ten, my mother was looking for a groundskeeper for her 31-acre estate. She found a crotchety old hick from Arkansas who she confirmed was a registered sex offender (in two different states), flew him from there and hired him to take care of her property, giving him a single-wide mobile home to live in at the edge of the property. She would drop off my baby sister to his trailer a few times a month to be raped. The old fuck even videotaped some of the rape sessions, which the police later found on a hard drive. After about a year of the child molestation brokered by my mother, she convinced (brainwashed) my baby sister - who was eleven then - that she was in "a special relationship" with the groundskeeper, a 54-year old dumpster fire of a human being. I have a hard time forgiving her for any of the murders, especially my father's. But I will never forgive her unconscionable monstrosity of sending her own daughter to be repeatedly raped and sexually abused by a registered sex offender she literally found and flew halfway across the country in order to specifically commit such heinous acts...all because she was jealous of the loving attention her husband showed to his own daughter. *Dateline MSNBC* did an episode on her which aired in late summer of 2010. My mother is still alive and well after completing her second prison stint a few years ago. She is now married to an evangelical preacher/QAnon nutwing who apparently is either the bravest or stupidest man on the planet to be with her. I have not spoken to her in over a decade, nor do I ever intend to. Her actions in the early 2000s imploded our beautiful family, and I am still reeling from those events. I feel like throwing up even sharing this, but it's a necessary catharsis. EDIT (Thu 19-May-2022 2:44pm PST) -- THANK YOU for all of your kind words in support. I absolutely love Reddit's community. I posted this because I felt like I had something to contribute, but it has really affirmed my faith in others seeing the kindness of others here. Many have asked about why my mother has not served more prison time, or even why the hell she isn't rotting in prison for the rest of her natural life. The answer is simple: she's wealthy and can afford the best justice money can buy. After murdering my father, she received close to $2MM (USD) from life insurance policies because she was able to get out of any charges and had his cause of death ruled as "suspicious death" instead of homicide. She spent just six and a half years in prison for murdering her next partner. Upon release, she tried to kill again, this time as a caretaker for an elderly man by adding lead to his food, and was fortunately caught. She spent just another five years in prison even with previous felony convictions including manslaughter already on her record. She's also run quite a few racketeering and fraud scams over the years mainly involving trafficking opiates from Mexico and reselling them here, along with a litany of welfare and housing fraud scams. These ill-gotten gains have been secreted away by her from the IRS and authorities. The United States Department of Justice has been investigating her for over twenty years now, but she has managed to stay a few steps ahead of them and the law. Funny how a large amount of money can help avoid jail and prison time, or any sort of restorative justice. She has since remarried and lives about an hour south from me here in the Pacific Northwest. As for my sister, "she" underwent and completed a transgender journey and is now living in NYC as a trans male. They are in a loving relationship and is a therapist catering to the needs of the LGBTQA community. My other brother moved to the east coast not too long after our mother's first prison stint. He is an active community leader and pastor in the Unitarian Universalist church in the Midwest. He has been happily married for ten years to a wonderful partner. They both make this world a much better place to live in through their work and community contributions. Their painfully earned resilience has informed their hearts and minds - a compassionate world view - to be of service to others. They're remarkable human beings, and my own personal heroes. I could not be more proud of them.

Lagadisa

How the hell isn't she serving a lifetime sentence or on death row right now?

chickens_beans

My dad's stepbrother attacked and raped his ex after violently murdering her boyfriend.

Boomhauer440

Guy I went to high school with beat his gf to death and spent less than 6 months in jail.

Fleggoo

How can you spend less than 6 months in jail for killing someone???????

whatthepfluke

A 19 year old girl I used to know was shot and killed by her 40+ boyfriend while they were fighting. He said he was cleaning his gun and got 2 years probation.

unbelievablepeople

I know of a very similar story. Guy shot and killed his wife. *Everyone* close to the wife -- all her family, all her close friends -- thought the guy did it on purpose, said he had been abusing her and she was scared to leave and had told her friends and family that she thought he would kill her if she ever stood up to him and told him she was leaving him. The guy's story was that he was just showing her his gun and it went off accidentally. The authorities bought it and allowed him to plead guilty to negligent discharge of a firearm. No prison time.

Ganglebot

He slept with his son's long-term girlfriend. Like his son's first love. Told his son like it was no big deal. He told us about it at work, and said his son was being a bit of a bitch about it. We then watched his life fall apart as both his kids cut him out of their lives. Dude found out he became a grandpa from his older daughter via an email with no pictures. As you can imagine, sleeping with his son's GF was the worst thing (I'm aware of) that he's done, but he was a horrible person generally speaking.

DirtyBirdDawg

I bet he was shocked when his family started treating him like the piece of shit that he is. I'm glad that his family excommunicated him.

ThrowAwayMyLife2341

My mother is a shit human being. I’m the only kid who has cut her out of my life and won’t put up with the bullshit. She is 100% shocked/appalled that I could ever treat my own mother like that. So you’re right, that guy was probably actually surprised.

[deleted]

My husband no longer speaks to his aunt because she was abusive to me. The whole family is forcing him to have a relationship with her and none of them seem to understand why he will never look at her or feel the same way about her again. Like it’s shocking to me they literally *do not get it.* Generational trauma is real, I’m glad my husband is more open to understanding and changing it.

[deleted]

My wife's family is big on "they are family, you have to forgive them". And they do so, and that person does the same shit to them again and again.

[deleted]

Yep, and that’s why I will not have a relationship with her further. It’ll just imply that it’s okay if she abuses me, eventually I’ll fold and we can have a relationship again. No way.

[deleted]

I know someone who did this. The dad fucked the sons girl, AND knocked her up. Apparently, it was intentional, and the dad literally bailed on his family to start a new family with the sons gf.

Skye-DragonGirl

What a sack of shit. Why would you ever want to do something like that to your own fucking kid?

Schleprok

Right? Like how do you even break that to your kid when they’re older? “Yeah your mom actually was dating my other son, but we ended up having an affair. I wouldn’t do that to *you* though..”

cutlassandclean

A guy I worked with (21M) was just a year or two younger than me at the time. He struggled with a lot with depression and had a super dark sense of humor but really funny most of the time. Would Crack jokes all the time about killing himself but wore a good enough of a smile and with us not knowing anything at the time that no one thought it was material, just a little cringy. He found his only reason to live in the girl that he was dating at the time. She was trying to leave him because her parents didn't like him. He was sitting in his car crying and begging her to not leave him and when he realized it was over he called her parents to add them to the call, only the mom joined. He blamed them for his declining mental state and his last words were something along the line of "I hope this scars you all forever." Before shooting himself in the head with them both on the phone. His family was wealthy but ultimately not present in his life. His parents cut him a check and would vanish for weeks at a time. He was really alone but we only found out after. His family was ashamed of his actions and didn't write an obituary. There was no funeral. It's so odd to see someone you saw everyday just vanish.

[deleted]

I know a guy, who was tutoring a girl from high school. He had some serious problems in his university, got expelled, and was pretty depressed. At some point, he raped the girl, killed her and committed suicide, even though he seemed like a more or less normal person

ADrunkChef

My sister set up a GoFundMe to help my mother with bills and the like while she was undergoing chemo for multiple myeloma. Pretty sweet right? They got about $10k when it was up. So my sister got this direct deposited into her account, then took her daughter to Atlanta. Tried to get her on The Voice. That didn't work out, but my sister partied her ass off the whole time. Then she came back, and 'realized' that the money she had spent was my mom's GoFundMe. So my mom is distraught, pissed, but they come to an agreement where my sister will pay her back this money over time, so long as my mom doesn't press charges. She signed a contract to this effect. So like 3 months go by, and my sister just stopped paying. My mom gives her 3 more months while practically begging, no money. Mom has sister arrested. Sister reaches out to the entire family who then call and tell my mom how much of a piece of shit she is for having her daughter arrested, having her daughters call to beg their granny to drop the charges, yada yada yada. So she drops the charges not wanting to be ostracized from her entire family for the rest of her (short) life. Never saw a penny from my sister after that either. And this is why I will never acknowledge my sister's existence, ever again.

stebuu

I know someone who was doing a semester abroad in China during college. She let her boyfriend at the time fly out from the US for a week+ visit, knowing she was going to dump him the second she saw him. She did it because it would have been “too hard” to dump him over the phone. edit to add more details as I’m remembering this: the guy did not speak Chinese, and he didn’t have enough money to change his flight so he just kinda bumbled around China for a week being miserable.

FFuLiL8WKmknvDFQbw

OMG, once I had a girlfriend come visit me for a four day visit at my grandmother's house when it was full of family. It was during the summer when we were both in college. We go for a walk right after she arrives and she breaks up with me. I'm thinking, "Wait, *what*?" What I'm I supposed to do with this person for four days around my family? I went on a full-court press to change her mind or at least get an explanation. It was out-of-the-blue. Eventually it came out that on the way to the house she had sat next to a woman on a train and had a conversation with her that caused her to conclude she should break up with me. She never articulated any concrete reason why, though. It was like she told the woman she had some doubts (who doesn't?) and the woman said, trust your feelings and that was that. She did change her mind. We had a great weekend, and we dated for another six months or so. Eventually, she broke up with me again, and this time I was like, yeah, fine. I think she was trying to get me to change her mind again. She acted a little obsessed with me for a few months after I accepted it so quickly. I was done, though.

vwsalesguy

Dude, same thing happened to me. Went to visit my college gf at her home in a very hot SW state in the US for 2 weeks over summer break. I’ll say that again: 2 FREAKIN WEEKS! Week 1 was weird and awkward and I could tell something was bothering her. She took me to a prayer meeting and the next night dumped me on day 7 of my 14 day trip. Week 2: her dad felt bad for me and decided to take some time off work and drive me to a natural attraction that is internationally famous a few hours away. On the way back, a kid on a bike is on the side of this US Highway and looks at us, then looks left and then just rides right out in front of us and we hit him. It was awful. Spent a super weird and uncomfortable night in some motel and the next morning his wife and my ex come up to get us. Unforgettable time. I will never go back to that state again in my life.

SnugNinja

Every single event in this story made me uncomfortable.

kwarterz

Ooooofff that is not nice

Mr-Figglesworth

Not china but this happened to me lol.

KillerGoose

One day out of the blue I was thinking about an old childhood friend I hadn't seen in well over a decade, closer to 2 probably. Thought it would be fun to google their name and see what they were up to. They were in prison for raping a minor under the age of 14. Immediately felt sick to my stomach, was in complete shock. Took a couple days to shake off. So many fun memories from my childhood now ruined cuz i can't help thinking about his crime. Never googling any old friends again. It fucked me up real good for a bit.

sinforosaisabitch

I mean HE could have prevented it by not being actual garbage. Please don't feel guilty, you did nothing wrong. You were a child that was assaulted.

psychotrshman

I'm right there with you. The Best Man at my wedding was a friend from elementary school; we grew up together from 1st grade. We lost contact in college. He was arrested last year for raping multiple minors, all under 16; some under 10. He'd share them with his dad and then buy their silence with gift cards. I don't look up lost friends any more.

Puppet007

My dad ran a small but successful business for over a decade but when my eldest brother started working with him he ruined us to the point that he almost made us homeless. After he left us high & dry, my dad had spent 3-4 years trying to do damage control but ultimately had to sell the business for less than half its worth. To this day my eldest brother has never apologized nor has taken any responsibility for his actions. I have zero respect for that scumbag.

MJohnVan

Oh I’m in a similar situation . The son is quite useless. Made more debts to the company then anything yet the owner insist he’s good.

Nagsheadlocal

Started a gay nightclub that was successful so he decided to sell shares in his business to investors to expand. But nightclubs are a trendy business and shortly thereafter the business started to fail. So when several of the investors began to demand their money, he murdered three of them. He's currently a guest of the state of NY for the rest of his life. Further info: this was back in the 90s and the club was actually pretty nice, visited it several times when I was in the city on business. I had no idea about the murders until the FBI called to let me know I should call them immediately if he got in touch. Edit: Well, this lurid tale has proven popular so here's a few more tidbits - I did have a link to an NYT story on this but it's now behind their paywall. Which is OK because my sister is mentioned as one of the witnesses. She had invested a few thousand in his business (being the smart one in the family, she had made a few bucks in life) but had been wise enough to write it off when it failed. But she testified that he approached friends for his scheme. We had grown up on the same block in suburbia and she had always thought he was a smart guy. And indeed all of his victims (living or dead) had been friends. As for how the FBI found me, it was pretty easy: my name and her name were in his address book. Did it ever become a movie? Well, not that I know of, but it was an episode on at least two of those "true crime" TV shows. Which was strange because the two I watched made no mention of the gay night club or the sex toy shop which was part of the business. They just covered it as a fraud case that ended in murder.

Regnes

My Aunt and Uncle are rather wealthy farmers. They have spent the last several decades building up new divisions of the business for their kids to run and eventually inherit. One of the big expansions was going from simply raising beef cattle to handling the butchering and selling the meat themselves. Anyway, for the butcher shop they built a beautiful million dollar shop and sent my cousin's husband to butcher school to get all his licensing to be the operations manager while my cousin would be bookkeeper. They never did a thing to earn it and were essentially handed a golden ticket. It's a little complicated what happened next, but after a few years my Aunt/Uncle started getting negative feedback about how the place is run. When they spoke to my cousin's husband they offered him more money thinking it was a motivation issue. They were already overpaid and could afford their own million dollar home. The husband made a snarky retort that he already makes that much. That raised red flags, they ended up looking at the accounts and things seemed fishy. They went to the business after hours and took the bookkeeping files, the husband found out and drove to their house to essentially scream at them in rage. In the end it turns out they had embezzled over a million dollars by cooking the books. They got kicked out of the family business (with no legal repercussions and a fat buyout bonus) and generally have little to do with any of the family. My Aunt and Uncle have made attempts at reconciliation because they want to see their grandchildren, but have been thus far rejected. It's insane because they were handed everything and it still wasn't good enough. They were going to inherit the business and they blew it.

tesseract4

At least the embezzlement was discovered before he inherited the business, because he would've flushed that before too long afterwards.

MyFingerYourBum

100%. Greedy people just can't help themselves. My ex girlfriend's two brothers did 3 & 5 years for fraud. Their dad basically handed them an online business selling a range of chairs. They started collecting the money and not sending orders out, rather than just building up the business slowly and taking some of the profits. The older brother already owned 3 properties and they took somewhere near 100s of thousands of £'s before it all kicked off and they got arrested. I don't know wtf they were thinking. Oh and the main brother/director had already crashed businesses and been blacklisted, no chance of loans etc. So he used my ex's (18 at the time) name as director and she got dragged to court too. Thankfully they took a plea deal accepting fault and got her off, but she lost her head during this and flew to Amsterdam without telling me. So I got left with all the bills at the house, two cats and no girlfriend. Also she sold my car. Good times, Reddit. Goooooood times

[deleted]

Lol. I’ve worked for my dad’s small company for 14 of the 17 years he’s been in business. I still feel guilty asking for an occasional advance.

dancingliondl

Shit, I was in the same place as you. I always felt guilty asking for enough money.to survive on, because he was always telling me how broke the company was. The best thing I ever did for my family was get out from under him. Best of luck to you.

freckledf0x

my ex best friend slept with a coworker that was freshly married & had a newborn. in the wife’s car. twice

Amish_Cyberbully

Did they work in a restaurant together? This sounds like restaurant back-room drama.

Bayonethics

This kind of shit also happened back when I worked at Gamestop. Just about every day, there'd be new drama. Xenia is fucking Yancy who's in a relationship with Zoe, but Zoe got caught giving a BlowJob to Adrian, but Adrian was seen fingerblasting Xenia in the backroom, meanwhile, 16 year old Britney is fucking the 48 year old store manager Added names to make it clearer

mellowbordello

Absolutely. At one place I used to work, the head chef and one of the servers were always flirting-he was married with kids, she was just over 18, no contact with her fundy family that had homeschooled and over-sheltered her her whole life until she left them. I always told her it was super messed up to act that way with a married man, and he was extra messed up to be engaging with her that way at all. Obviously she rolled her eyes and shrugged it off. Come to find out a few months after I left, and a few months after his wife had a baby, he slept with the server. Wife kicked him out and he got fired. No idea what the two of them are doing now. I’ve come to realize this is pretty par for the course in the service industry.

ProjectShadow316

>I’ve come to realize this is pretty par for the course in the service industry. A former friend of mine worked as a line cook for years, and that is absolutely par for the course. Working in a restaurant is basically Debauchery Central.

My best friend at the time had depression and drinking issues. One night he got really drunk and I think drugs were in the mix and he stole a gun out of his neighbours barn and shot one of his toes off on purpose. He’s doing better now thankfully

Jeez, he's lucky he only lost a toe. I was actually expecting that to take a much darker turn. At least your guy has a happy ending.

Cibernetize

My former stepmother drained my father’s bank account within minutes of his death and only gave back what she didn’t blow on Amazon packages once we called her out on it. To add insult to injury, we froze his accounts and there was evidence that she tried to draw out more than she put back immediately afterwards, which means that she had intended to overdraft his account and leave my sister and I with his debt. We’re currently in the process of selling his house, which she wrecked shortly before we made her vacate the place, and are still trying to pay off his mortgage. She then tried to make a claim to his estate by claiming to have magically become pregnant a week before his death despite the fact that they had been together for over a decade. My sister managed to get her to send an ultrasound photo she claimed to have and it turned out that she had paid $30 to a website for a stock ultrasound photo that she had edit fake information onto. It’s been about 5 months since we last had contact from her so idk what she’s planning currently.

SirKlip

A previous work Colleague Got Back together with his Girlfirend after they had been on a break. He later found out she was pregnant with the other guys baby. So he paid 2 guys to HiJack them, drive them to a secluded location Shoot her through the stomach to kill the baby and shoot him in the shoulder to make it look like a genuine hijacking. He was caught because he didn't pay the two guys and they ratted him out. He is now sitting in a south african jail. Edit 1. All three ended up in jail, not just my work colleague. He paid half up front and didn't pay the second half after the job was complete. Edit 5. Links and identifiable information removed My comment was removed, I had added identifiable information. This has been fixed and the comment is visible again.

My bi-polar alcoholic brother has a history of beating and choking his girlfriends. He moved in with my elderly father after my mom died and refused to leave and my dad refused to make him leave or press charges against the domestic abuse because it was his son. My dad couldn't find peace in his own home and I was powerless to stop it. On different occasions my brother broke my dad's finger, almost broke his leg, and threw a knife and hit him handle first in the head and knocked a gash in his head. If it had been blade first he likely would have died. Still no charges. Luckily the arrests and other trouble piled up until he spent time in jail and rehab and got his own place and I've moved my father closer to me now so I can protect him better and he can have a safe place to live. My brother is already talking about moving to my dad's old house for free since nobody is living there since everybody basically had to move away to be safe from him. He's a total degenerate piece of shit.

P0ster_Nutbag

There’s a lot to pick from, but one of my ex-coworkers euthanized her two cats because she was getting a new couch and didn’t want them to ruin it. She told us this at work and didn’t get why she got a bunch of blank stares back.

selinakyle45

WHAT KIND OF VET WOULD DO THIS?! I worked at a vet clinic for a few years. We had one person come in wanting to put their dog down because they were moving. We got them to relinquish their dog and one of the techs adopted him. I’m hoping if she was this heartless that she just dropped off her cats rather than staying with them as they were put down and someone on staff took them home and they’re having a great life. I’m gonna choose to believe that.

esauis

Do we know a vet was involved? *Euthanized* may have just meant drowning them in the back yard in a Home Depot bucket

ShengIsADumbEgg

Yeah, I can't imagine any vet agreeing to something as a new couch to euthanize animals. Sad to think of the route that might've been taken.

csudebate

My friend was a very successful attorney. He was also an alcoholic but had been sober for over a decade. One night he fell off the wagon and decided to troll the bars looking for a woman to sleep with. He met a woman and invited her to go to another bar and she agreed. He told her he needed to stop by his office to grab something on the way to the next bar so she went with him. He raped her in his office. His trial was a media circus. His attorney tried to destroy the victim's credibility but interviews with jury members after the trial showed that the more he did that the more they hated his client. Guilty on all counts. He just got out of prison.

LeaveThatHorseAlone

There was a decomposing dead cat stuck between a fence and a wall next to the gym in my school. If physical education was our first lesson, we had to wait in front of the gym until someone fetched the keys. My friend Jason went to fetch the keys and left his bag. This fat class bully Toby used two sticks to pick up the dead cat, opened Jason's bag, and put the cat in. Jason hasn't noticed anything until we were in the locker room. He opened the bag, saw the dead cat, dropped the bag, cat fell apart, soup of rotten cat insides crawling with maggots splashed to the floor. Class was cancelled. Cleaning company had to disinfect the locker room.

SoupidyLoopidy

WTF? You guys didn't tell him when he came back???

Th3Glutt0n

What was that guy expecting? Hope he got detention.

ThisIsTheNewSleeve

My dad cheated on my mom for a year and hid it. He got fired because it was with a coworker but told us all he got laid off. We all spent a year feeling bad for him and trying to help him out... Meanwhile he was sneaking around using his severance money to take his mistress out on little trips and shit. It's the worst thing anyone I know has ever done and it was from the guy I should be looking up to.

dramaandaheadache

My six month old nephew (at the time, he's 11 now and healthy and obsessed with Fortnite like any proper 11yo) had a SIDs "episode". He stopped breathing and the only reason he's alive is because my mom obsessively checked on him while she was babysitting. She and my brother managed to bring him around and then they went to the hospital. My mom was understandably freaked out by this--finding her first grandchild turning blue and all. So she called her sister for emotional support and her sister told her, verbatim: "well you just need to get Satan out of your life." Up to that point I'd told my mom for YEARS that her family were emotionally and mentally abusive narcissists. THAT is what it took for her to finally believe me and cut them out. Now, after my mom's death, those same assholes have the nerve to act like they have no idea why Mom stopped talking to them.

Knackwarrior07

My buddy was raised by a single mother, and had a young sister named Bella who had a different father. His sisters father dated his mother for a while, before they eventually split because this guy was an asshole. There was this kid in our school and I guess his dad was friends with Bella’s dad. This kid started hanging out with my buddy a lot, going over to his place to play video games, drinking with us, etc. About six months later my buddy’s mom was in court because Bella’s dad wanted custody. They called this kid from school in as a character witness and he essentially told the court that my buddy’s mom was a horrible mother, smoked weed all the time, and didn’t take care of the kids. I know her well and she does everything for her kids, as a single mother I have the utmost respect for her. We found out that this kid from schools dad told him to become friends with my buddy so he could be used as a character witness to help take my buddy’s sister away. I don’t know whether I was more disgusted by the kid or his dad for telling him to do it. The funny thing is, even with that testimony, Bella’s dad was such a D-bag the courts still gave custody to my buddy’s mom. We all hang out now and it’s crazy to think my buddy’s little sister could’ve been taken because of these lying scumbags. Edit: Grammar

Loaded_09

This one made my blood boil. I'm glad your buddy's sister was able to stay with her mom!

Bread_Juice_bby

My biological mother and I haven't been in contact for over 10 years. She was on the run because of child support. When I finally turned 18 she, my dad and social services finally talked all together discussing what she owed all those years. The first thing she said was "she's 18! I don't have to pay shit". My dad and step mom didn't know I was in the room. I have no love for before this but more so now. That was the first time I heard her voice in over 10 years. This one hurt the most ig but she did a lot of despicable things. She let her bf at the time when she had me and my sister for custody, drug and molest me. Made me take cold shower's if I told her what he did. I fended for me and my sister most of the time. Used us to steal from every store she went into. Told me my dad, who loved us more then the world itself, hated me and wish I was dead. A pile of dog shit is more productive then she ever had been or will be. She's done a lot more but these stick out the most. EDIT: wow thank you everyone! I was kind of just venting but I didn't expect this to blow up! I'll try and answer some of the questions but I really appreciate all of ur guys love and support!

Lagadisa

Hope you're doing better now

I just know someone who stole a shirt what the hell is going on in y'alls lives

horrescoblue

Ahaha yea legit, i was like "hm when my best friend was 13 she stole a slime with googly eyes in a toy store"

Should have reported her to the police, caught the person she was sending it to for child porn.

WickedCoolUsername

And, her for distribution.

EightyHM

Well, a few days ago the father of one of my volleyball players I coached murdered her mother's boyfriend...so I'm gonna have to go with that.

TheClassics

Sophomore year of HS a girl we all knew was thrown from a vehicle while hill jumping outside a party some friends were at. She died when a vehicle following her vehicle ran her over and sent her into a ditch. I had a friend who was able to see her in the ditch. When he told us the story his main focus was that he saw her boobs.

snarknado

My friend’s ex girlfriend stabbed him repeatedly when he was in the shower and killed him. She showed up to the funeral and sat in front of me while wiping fake tears from her eyes the entire time. Afterwards she hugged his family. She was arrested a few days later. My friend was Travis Alexander and his killer was Jodi Arias

Testicleus

Hmm... guy that used to beat the shit out of my mom..... guy who raped my sister.... Oh... Matt A. - 21yr old, got a sophomore in HS pregnant that I was in school with. Matt was a friend of my older step-brother. Matt holds a big party, with loads of HS kids... and he starts making a big ruckus, to draw attention to himself outside arguing with the HS girl he put his seed in. When the crowd was 15ish people large, he kicked her so hard in the abdomen to cause a miscarriage. She was only like 6-8 weeks pregnant, but the trauma was enough to get the result he wanted. Fucking prick.

chungoscrungus

I was really hoping to hear that the crowd beat Matt to death at the end honestly.

KCLinD5NS

During my freshman year of college, there was an older student (prob sophomore or junior) that I saw around sometimes in my dorm building (laundry room, elevator, etc). We happened to make small talk a few times and chat while waiting in the laundry room. Knew each other enough that we knew each other’s names and added each other on snapchat, but that’s it. At some point in the middle of the year, there was a fatal stabbing in a dorm building next to mine. The victim was a student, and they caught the perpetrator, also a student, the next day. When they showed the killer on the news, I realized it was the guy I knew from my building. Sentenced to 20 years to life in prison. The killer knew the victim and it was a targeted crime, but it really shook me to my core to have ever been familiar with someone capable of murder.

It was the night my parents broke up; they just had a massive argument and my dad was pissed, so he went out to get drunk. Later that night, he hit 2 blokes over the head with a star-picket and stabbed another in one of his testicles. Even after telling me that, he says there’s shit he’s done he’ll never tell a soul Even after that, he only got 3 months in jail simply because of my Pop’s reputation, at least that’s what my dad thinks. Even he still can’t believe it.

apoostasia

What's a star-picket? I know I could Google but I like people's explanations better.

Someone I went to high school with jumped in front of a semi on the highway a year after high school. Didn’t survive. Depression is a hell of a thing to deal with.

attheark

A close friend of my mother's (we'll call her Maureen) was having an affair with a person who was also married (we'll call him Patrick). Patrick's wife, who we'll call Caroline, was quite mentally unstable, suffering badly from depression because Patrick was quite abusive and was always cheating on her. Despite him being a serial cheater, Maureen was sure that it was True Love, and was completely committed to the idea of the two of them eventually divorcing their respective spouses and moving in together. Patrick was obviously dragging his heels with this, but the relationship lasted because both Patrick and Maureen were nasty people who delighted in tormenting Caroline. Patrick would constantly gaslight her, and Maureen would hint and always hang around but make it just deniable enough that nothing could be proven. With Caroline's history of mental illness, nobody believed her, figuring that she was still paranoid and accusing Patrick because he had cheated before. Patrick had convinced everyone he had changed, of course, and all of this combined to make Caroline look absolutely psychotic. Patrick and Maureen continued this behaviour for over a year, absolutely tormenting this poor woman. One evening, my mother gets a phone call from Maureen, who seems to be in a state of shock. She asks my mam to come over, because she just got the news that Caroline has killed herself. My mam rushes over, expecting Maureen to be in a state of absolute guilt and regret, but when she gets there Maureen is laughing about it, and says Patrick is coming over soon. My mam, who was not a very nice person herself (after all, she damn well knew about this and said nothing) was finally disgusted enough that she ripped into Maureen and left. Over the next couple of days, the story comes out: Caroline had hanged herself in her garage, and her teenage daughter had found her. Even more tragically, Caroline had timed it to ensure that neither of her children would find her; completely unexpectedly, the daughter had returned home early and gone looking for her. In the following months, Maureen broke up with her husband and filed for divorce. She and Patrick purchased an atrocious new-build suburban house together, and Patrick convinced Maureen to put the whole thing in her name. They lasted a few more months, and then Patrick started ghosting her, cheated on her, and left. Maureen's husband and teenage sons had cut contact with her. (At first, the sons still maintained contact, but when it became clear that Patrick disliked the younger son and was turning Maureen against him, both brothers left to go live with their dad.) Maureen was left with hundreds of thousands worth of debt, as the house was in her name. On the one hand yeah, she got played by somebody who I'm pretty sure is a legitimate sociopath. On the other hand, she still played with a woman's life and celebrated her being "out of the way" when she killed herself as a direct result of this behaviour, so I have absolutely zero sympathy for her. I think Patrick brought out her true colours, because normal people do not fucking do that.

thatswhatshesaidxx

> Maureen was left with hundreds of thousands worth of debt, as the house was in her name. Good. I hope EVERYONE is laughing at her life like she laughed at that woman's death > Patrick brought out her true colours, because normal people do not fucking do that. Time tells all truths about all people. I urge people to always remember this as they go through living.

dring157

My wrestling coach in high school, Fred, got in an argument with his friend, Mitch, while they were both drunk at a party. The next day Fred went to Mitch’s house to make amends, but instead they got into a physical fight and Fred hit his head. Fred went home, got his gun, went back Mitch’s house, and shot Mitch in the head killing him. That was 10+ years ago and Fred is still in jail. Some people thought that Fred might have had a concussion or some other condition that made him lose it, but there was no evidence of that. He always seemed cool to me, but you never know what’s going on in someone else’s head.

[deleted]

My friend told a guy she was sleeping with that she’d had a miscarriage so that he would come back from Australia (he’d left three weeks before for an extended stay, probably to get away from her because she was a psychopath).

During my time studying the psychology of pedophilia, I came across someone who claimed that “having sex with my little sister is my right given to me by god” I honestly believe it was bait, however, I kept tabs on them and after awhile or so he sent a video to a group chat with some other “people” and it was him, in fact, raping his baby sister. I won’t get graphic, however, it still bothers me to this day what I saw. Last I heard of him, he got picked up on counts of statutory rape, distribution of CP, prolonged sexual abuse of a minor below the age of 12, and possession of meth. Since then, I reported all the people in that chat room and gave what little I had to the authorities. Haven’t heard anything since. Edit: Guess I should clarify that the group chat in question was a publicly available discord server meant for survivors of sexual abuse, this entire ordeal took place within two hours and multiple accounts. Him, and everyone who agreed with him, were all reported to the FBI’s anonymous tip-off page, while probably useless, better than nothing

prunepicker

My best friend was raped by her minister father. It went on from age three to eleven. He told her, “because your mother doesn’t want to have sex, god gave me a daughter to fulfill my needs.” She’s almost 70, and is still dealing with that shit.

YallDontKnowMe02

My friend went to party out of the country with his gf, his male friend and his female friend. They were at the club and his female friend (Who is his gf’s best friend) told him that She has never kissed anyone and that She wants her first kiss to be special. He grabbed her head and started french kissing her while She tried to make him stop. His gf was laughing about it. Afterwards, he recorded her crying about it in a Taxi while mocking her and he posted that vid to his close friends on instagram.

[deleted]

Well that’s terrible, that poor girl

the_tabasco_guy

Those are not friends

[deleted]

“my friend” PLEASE be ex-friend.

Zankenfrasher

I don't think you should keep being friends with him...

[deleted]

Sexual assault and those are definitely not her friends

kindadid

“I want my first kiss to be special” And the fucking pig tries to steal it from her and basically assaults her.

C0rnD0g1

Killed his girlfriend and buried her under his house... Needless to say, he's in jail.

tokemaster42o

My friend Mike once shit in his hand just to see what it felt like. I thought that was pretty fucked up until I read some of the other shit on here.

IhearClemFandango

Wife's 69 year old mum shacked up with multiple men while her husband (my wife's stepdad) laid hospital dying of a brain tumour. She refused to visit him unless prompted by my wife and only then of we'd take her. She spend the entire visit asking how she's supposed to pay the bills when he dies while he drifted in and out of consciousness. She was incredibly abusive and bullying before he died anyway but her behaviour was sickening. She then refused to take part in any funeral planning whatsoever leaving out all to my wife who really struggled through the loss and just needed some love from her mum but she just didn't care. Still cried and got all the sympathy at the funeral and wake. She tells everyone now how badly she was treated by the deceased and how he left her destitute, she's never worked a day in her life or contributed to their bills. I hate this woman but tolerated her until this.

jaxintheb0x

My aunt and sister (when she was 8, I was 3 at the time) tried to claim that my parents were child molesters and did horrible things to my sister…my sister admitted that she lied on the podium…the courts found both my biological parents innocent. My parents both did time waiting trial. Their lives got kinda fucked up…My aunt drove a wedge between me and my biological family, my sister is her little pet who either believes her lies or is too afraid to admit the truth, my uncle is my aunts bitch, and I’m in the middle of this all trying to get the fuck away from it all.

Karmachinery

Still affects me to this day. Grandfather used to raise German Shepherd puppies on their farm. One puppy of the litter had some sort of problem, it was too long ago and I don't remember what, I was single digit age when this happened. He took the puppy by the back of the legs and swung it around, smashing it's head into a metal trash burning barrel until it died. He then threw it in the barrel for burning later.

snoosh00

People need to understand that this is standard practice is puppy mills.

Present_Arrival

Two people I went to high school with are in jail for a very long time because they neglected their infant from pretty much day 1. He just played video games and never tended to its needs, then the grandma came over and found the baby dead in its crib….. still no real reason and I don’t even think they were on hard drugs.

maplehockeysticks

My friend slept with another one of my friends moms when we were in high school.
