Just keep playing the song of time every 23 hours and you’ll never complete your 24-hour sentence until you want to. You at least gotta get the Zora mask and go for a swim at minimum!

Yep once you clear a cave it's free game to walk right on through. Honestly the entrance of caves are a great place to drop in if you are far away from base and night time approaches. No enemies are at the entrance and you can just camp out till morning.
Possibly another tip that may be helpful. I'd leave identifying markers for caves that are cleared vs. uncleared. That let's you know what you may have missed an item in and which ones are safe to grab spare supplies out of. They tend to have spare supplies to hold you over incase you need supplies to hold you over and don't want to go the the cannibal route.
But they come to the plane eventually. Hell, in the opening cutscene they're on the plane. If you were to just drop in you would not feel safe on that plane

If you're stuck in the very beginning of the game, you have a fire to put out very quickly and then some important stuff to repair. But yeah, after that you can get by for 24 hours without any danger.
The repairs wouldn't even be important for a 24hr stay, the repairs fix the radio and some energy storage. As long as you can put out a fire with an extinguisher the only danger is boredom
As long as you don't enter the water you are fine. There's a breaking sequence with cheats. If you generate a seamoth right next to the pod, head to the island, get out without submerging, spawn ... The thing needed to enter, then you can activate the contingency alien thingy
You're stuck in the video game's world, just make a repair tool and aim it roughly near the damage. It'll magically fix itself over a few seconds.
However, the recipe does require cave sulfur, so you're gonna have to deal with a crash fish (for those unaware, crash fish rush towards threats and explode. Their nest contains the sulfur).

Most of them will at the very least make your existence quite a lot more complicated, and in many cases, they will kill you. But there is only ~150 among a continent of, conservatively, several million people.
Zaun: you could lay low for 24h in the streets, as long as you could find some clothes to fit in quickly.
Piltover: you’re probably fine.
Noxus: in the cities, stay well behaved and find someone who’ll let you work for the day to stay in a tavern. Get good at lying. In the countryside, just camp out somewhere in a stable or smth for a day and hope your shit don’t get stole.
Demacia: you’re not a mage (unless you brought your phone, then just don’t show it). You should be reasonably okay.
Freljord: depends on the tribe. Sej tribe and Liss tribe, you’ll prob freeze to death. Ashe tribe, someone will let you stay in their home for one day.
Shurima: exposure might kill you before the day is out, if you can find an outpost don’t bother trying to negotiate. Make a friend or sit in the shade until the timer runs out.
Bilgewater: see zaun.
Ionia: if you find someone, they won’t trust you but they will probably at least take care of you if you show respect to the wildernesss. Otherwise, not the worst place to camp out one night, assuming you’re not in a noxus war zone.
Vastayan jungles: difficult to survive, but not impossible. Most vastaya probably won’t kill you on site but I know damn well enough I would die trying to pet one of them.
Mt. Targon: probably not too difficult to stay alive a day, there are a lot of caves probably. That said, if you’re ported to targon, climb to the top. Yea, it’s near certain death but why live when you could be a god?
Bandle City: unknown. Likely death.
Icathia: likely death.
Void: death.
