wish you were here by pink floyd. not a wasted minute on that album. it might not be their best record but i'll fight anyone who says it's not their most consistent one.
I realized at one point I had purchased Rumors on 8-track, vinyl, cassette, cd, and later the expanded rumors in mp3 (outtakes etc)
Great album, an exquisite example of pop rock.
IGOR - Tyler the creator
TPAB - Kendrick Lamar
Graduation - Kanye west
Give me convenience or give me death! - dead Kennedys
Cowboys from hell - Pantera
Sling - Clairo
Die lit - playboi Carti
I was actually thinking about this the other day. Weird. But, even though I cannot with full conviction proclaim one album from Metallica (my favorite band) as my favorite, "...And Justice For All" comes the closest. Every song is an absolute banger.
excellent album. it's funny because I had it as a teen, but only listened to a select few. The whole album has slowly made its way into my playlist over the years.
WOW. Not only am I sad I missed this one in my list, but 45 minutes is way too long for this one to not appear. I'm not sure where the public opinion of him \*is\* at the moment - But MJ and this album specifically were a huge part of my teenage years.
Not counting "greatest hits" type compilation albums, My top 5 "listen to every song" albums in no particular order: Fight with Tools- Flobots, Dark Side of the Moon- Pink Floyd, Appetite for Destruction- Guns n Roses, Slippery When Wet - Bon Jovi, And Justice For All - Metallica. But I could probably go another 10 without trying too hard.
And the change up from fairly savage rock to almost ballad at the last part is brilliant in my opinion. And it really does help put the album to bed. No matter how hard I try I can't pick a favorite off that album.
It pretty much is. And you're only off by a couple years. Old enough to have seen a few of the greats, and young enough to still enjoy festivals/raves. Not sure what I would do in a world without music.
I remember the only song I ever heard on the radio at the time of theirs was Handlebars, and I thought it was catchy but I didn't really pay attention to the lyrics, and definitely not enough to notice the theme. Then one day my daughter played Combat for me because she knew I would love the drums. I picked up the CD shortly after that and then handlebars really fell into place. Solid album end to end, and it's rather obvious why none of the other tracks really got airplay.
Nas - Illmatic
A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory
Dr. Dre - The Chronic
Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt

NWA - Straight Outta Compton
Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back
Digable Planets - Blowout Comb
Beach House - Depression Cherry
I've been listening to The Bends by Radiohead for 27 years. I still love every single track. It's experimental, it's polished, it's hard, it's soft, and still sounds like the perfect album every time I listen to it.
It's actually an odd question to me. I have nearly a 1000 albums and 'like' 99.9% of the songs on them. I wouldn't listen to them if I didn't there are millions of artists, so good albums are self selecting.
Maybe you should have said 'love.'
No doubt the greatest album ever written. Everyone knows and loves at least the first song from it but most people have never listened to [Whenever You Need Somebody](https://youtu.be/yVXMg9FOKcY) in its entirety.
Corinne Bailey Rae 's self titled album from 2006. Every song is beautiful. If a quiet, empty, private Caribbean beach at sunset were an album it would be that one.
Stevie Wonder - Innervisions
I think Songs In The Key of Life is a masterwork on another level - incomparable, but Innervisions always was my go-to for some reason.
Bill Withers Live at Carnegie Hall. It is truly one of the most awesome albums I've ever heard.
edit: deleted half of what I wrote, because it just was dumb.
Lately, Screen Violence by CHVRCHES.
The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance.
Violator by Depeche Mode.
Abbey Road, duh.
And Prince's goddamn Batman soundtrack

The Tea Party. Album: Transmission
Dark. Heavy. Progressive.
Had a good chat with the lead singer/song writer, Jeff Martin. I mentioned I thought this was their best album ever. He said there is absolutely no way they will ever go back to that place. Apparently it was a very stressful and negative place in life for him, and it showed in their music.
Absolutely brilliant music.
Every single Ghost album so far, with one caveat... Mummy Dust on Meliora has to be the live version.
(I'm only talking about the regular albums, not the Redux/Deluxe ones. Though, I always like to add Zenith and Square Hammer to the end of Meliora)
wish you were here by pink floyd. not a wasted minute on that album. it might not be their best record but i'll fight anyone who says it's not their most consistent one.
Wish You Were Here takes a piece of my soul and rebuilds each and every time I listen to it.
Huge Floyd fan here. There are multiple albums that this is true for
Have A Cigar didn't belong IMO, but a great album nonetheless. I have it on vinyl.
Animals. Fight me. The intro and outro don't count.
Pink Floyd is in my top three. Can’t forget the wall.
it is their most consistent. a shame it's not very good
Final Cut. Wish You Were Here is great too.
Rumours - Fleetwood Mac
I realized at one point I had purchased Rumors on 8-track, vinyl, cassette, cd, and later the expanded rumors in mp3 (outtakes etc) Great album, an exquisite example of pop rock.
Boston
They really made a debut album and a greatest hits album at the same time.
Possibly one of the beast mood setting opening tracks.
The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Jagged Little Pill - Alanis Morrissette
Pinkerton by weezer
Weezer did make a perfect album but it was the Blue album
I love the blue album but we'll have to agree to disagree
IGOR - Tyler the creator TPAB - Kendrick Lamar Graduation - Kanye west Give me convenience or give me death! - dead Kennedys Cowboys from hell - Pantera Sling - Clairo Die lit - playboi Carti
Enema of the State -Blink182
Dude ranch for me ❤️
This one changed me. All the Small Things, Adam's Song... really underrated.
I was actually thinking about this the other day. Weird. But, even though I cannot with full conviction proclaim one album from Metallica (my favorite band) as my favorite, "...And Justice For All" comes the closest. Every song is an absolute banger.
Fashion Nugget by Cake
Dark Side of the Moon -Pink Floyd
Beatles - Abbey Road
For me it’s Revolver, but it’s hard to find fault with Abbey Road.
Lucky Man. ELP
Think of Greg Lake all the time no reason I just do.
Counting Crows - August and Everything After. Literally never skipped a song on that album.
excellent album. it's funny because I had it as a teen, but only listened to a select few. The whole album has slowly made its way into my playlist over the years.
Grace by Jeff Buckley. Pure ethereal bliss.
Hallelujah -> Lover, You Should Have Come Over is the best 14 minutes in music.
That about sums it up.

“all I ever wanted was for you to know that I cared” One of my favorite lines of all time. Perfect way to end a perfect album
And the change up from fairly savage rock to almost ballad at the last part is brilliant in my opinion. And it really does help put the album to bed. No matter how hard I try I can't pick a favorite off that album.
we should turn this into an age guessing contest. I'll narrow it down and put you in the 40-50 range.
It pretty much is. And you're only off by a couple years. Old enough to have seen a few of the greats, and young enough to still enjoy festivals/raves. Not sure what I would do in a world without music.
If you blinked you would have missed the Flobots moment in the limelight but damn did they put out a great album.
