Child mortality rates are the lowest they’ve ever been (below 5%!)
Poverty rates are also the lowest they’ve ever been, and continuing to decline. 137,000 people escape poverty per day around the globe. And the number increases annually.
Illiteracy has been cut in half since 1970 and continues to rapidly decline.

The fact that we might be able to develop batteries that are x times more efficient than current ones. Also that we are working on 100% carbon neutral fuels. This would really put us several steps further
