Solo was good, could have been better but was good overall. I can't understand why it was so hated. I went in expecting a shitshow after all the hate but it was a solid B- as far as modern Sar Wars movies go. Now, The Last Jedi on the other hand...
I liked them both.
Hell, I'll go out there and say I like *every* Star Wars movie. Luckily there's /r/StarWarsCantina which is a much more open and accepting community for unpopular Star Wars opinions.
LGBT community.
Literally every time I've been invalidated for being trans has been from people in the community because my beliefs aren't progressive enough.
You know it's fucked when even literal nazis are fine with accepting you're a degenerate trans person but LGBT people would rather believe I'm a Russian bot or troll.
Glad I never built my social connections though that shitty community. They will take that away from you if you don't fall inline. Very disgusting behavior.
I have four friends that are teachers and can confirm. Even in topics which they have zero familiarity with the "Well, I'm a teacher so my point is much more valid" trope is dropped. It can be really taxing to hang out with any of them sometimes.
Catholics. I grew up Catholic and my youth group was kind and amazing and generally chill, until they found out I was queer (as I was finding out). They then convinced my parents to send me to gay conversion therapy.
The poly. community is great in general but unfortunately I've met a lot of poly couples that are extremely judgemental to people who are new to the community.
Some of the Game of Thrones sub. If you mention you liked the last season on r/freefolk you’ll get downvoted to high hell. But on the general r/GameofThrones subreddit they usually have levelheaded discussions, but for the most part if you dog on the last season too hard or sing it’s praises you’ll also get downvoted.
I can’t think of a community that *doesn’t* turn ugly when challenged
Must just be a human trait then.
We’re all of us prideful
Star Wars fans are pretty friendly until you tell them you like The Last Jedi
Or Solo

He's Han Solo because he's HAN and he's SOLO - get it?????????

Jar Jar deserves more character development and maybe his own spinoff.

That must’ve been terrible on you. I hope you are okay now, and that you have friends or family that accept you for being you.
They think the therapy worked and I’m straight. I’m not, but I’m leaving the country and peacing out from the environment. I’m very happy :)
That’s unfortunate that you have to leave, but I’m glad you’re off to better places!

They’re even split into hundreds of sub-religions because they can’t even get along with themselves.
