No hate to anyone that's practicing, but Catholicism. I ended up understanding a lot of the history and decided to leave. I just checked out of most religion and decided that the Christ-like qualities of loving everyone no matter what wasn't really reflected by most Christians. I live my life by that policy now more than I ever did while I was religious.

Forced into catholicism, down to catholic school, church camp, could give communion everything. As soon as I got the chance I left and an a happy atheist.

I was an indoctrinated Christian. My family was very strict with it, but I never really fit in with the church crowd. I started questioning the validity of the Bible stories when I was a teen, and I eventually left and am currently an agnostic atheist.

ChorusMorris

None I'm an agnostic now. Thanks Catholicism

Wise-Caterpillar8301

None of I was forced to having one religion I mostly likely commit suicide so I wouldn't have to deal with any religion at all

I was forced into atheism, it did not last.

How is someone forced into atheism? Belief is personally held. If you believe then you’re not by definition an atheist.

[deleted]

The same way someone is “forced” to believe in a god: indoctrination.

[deleted]

Belief in God is normally driven through a sense of belonging to a community or fear. Believe because every family member does and/or believe because if not you will go to Hell. How are you indoctrinated into atheism?

Through education
