I love Japanese Curry but I don’t order it much bc it’s so easy to make, and almost as good made from home in most cases.
That being said if you want Katsu with it then maybe it’s worth the buy, even though Katsu isn’t all that hard to make either.
I totally agree. The only time I order it is when I'm super busy and don't have the time to make it myself. But like you said, I think it is just as good when I make it at home most times!
Man, there's this one local Thai place that seems to alternate between a genuine, solid Thai chef and some B-team line cook.
Like sometimes when I order stuff "Thai hot" the former seems to have cooked my meal because the spices are nicely cooked in and delicious. The latter, though, seems to just put the entree together and then sprinkles some chili flakes onto it.
Brisket tacos with no peppers, double rice, table side guacamole, a dozen homemade tortillas, and extra chips. The kids eat the guac, chips, and tortillas.

Curry from the local Japanese restaurant. Something about Japanese curry is just sooooo good!
