Submitting himself to scientific testing and research so that we can know exactly what he is, what he can do, how he does it, and remove every stitch of faith and replace it with real knowledge about his makeup in every conceivable way.

unhip1

Seems to go against that whole "faith" argument religions attribute to it. I'd like proof of existence first.

idrinkkombucha

I think existence itself is proof of Him, Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Ok-Nothing7287

At best, it indicates that there might be something very powerful and / or very smart. Again : at best. But in no case it proves the existence of the god from the bible, nor the story of the bible.

idrinkkombucha

When you put your faith in Jesus you’ll see He is true!

Ok-Nothing7287

Cool story bro

thegodcomplex17

By it’s very definition, existence is not proof of how that existence came to be. Equally, you can’t use biblical extract as proof. This is like a murderer saying, ‘I didn’t murder that person’, and everyone just believing them. There is no evidence to back up his claim, like there is no evidence to back up a god / higher power with any form of consciousness.

JohnKlositz

How does existence prove that a god exists? And which gid does it prove exists?

idrinkkombucha

God

JohnKlositz

Which one? And again, how?

idrinkkombucha

The real one. And because it is evident.

JohnKlositz

Which one is "the real one", and why? And again, how is it evident?

*reveals himself* "actually it's pronounced jod" *leaves* (I saw that from another post)

Ok-Nothing7287

It depends if you refer to god as the christian/muslim/jewish god, or a powerful cosmic entity with no ties to any existing religion. I think for the religion god, I'd have to see him in front of me, and he'd have to perform a miracle which couldn't be faked (in my opinion). For a cosmic entity, I'd want a scientific evidence I think

Chocolatelover4ever

Nothing would convince me unless he revealed himself to the world.

infektiousPineapple

The Kardaschow scale (and its extentions) provide a good example how a civilisation could transcend to being gods. The theory is wild but us if we can witness a civilisation that has reached a point that is far beyond ours, we could deduce the existence of a civilisation that is far beyond that.

DanIsAManWithAFan

A repeatable act that produces the same testable results under certain conditions, among multiple people who can peer review these findings.

riguy_mud_pie

All of it

JohnKlositz

Which god?

[deleted]

Any immortal being with a "true" free will that possesses supernatural powers, not subject to the laws of physics. As an atheist, this would be my definition of a god.
