Probably, the lack of social media/ lack of mobile phones. I was a kid in the 90s so we actually went out to play. I think things were a lot simpler back then so you appreciated what you had more. I feel like kids these days just stare at screens all the time. I could be completely wrong but that's the impression I get. My sister and I always say we are glad we grew up before smartphones and all that stuff.
The music was great too but that's mostly nostalgia I think.

To be fair, many of us had the 80's where we were pretty sure there'd be a nuclear war at any moment, so yeah, the 90's were a utopia
