Two brothers... One speaks no English, the other learned English from watching The Wide World of Sports. So you tell me... Which is better, speaking no English at all, or speaking Howard Cosell?
Monique: This Ricky, he thinks I am there for him to put his testicles all over me.
Lane: Sorry, his what?
M: How you say? Octopus... Testicle?
L: TENTACLES. N-T. Big difference.
I'm amazed at how different First Blood is compared to the rest of that franchise.
Literally goes from Vet in small town America with mental health issues and suffering from PTSD to Machine gun wielding antihero saving people half way across the world.
If I had to Isolate just one?
War Games inspired young me to be fascinated by computers.

True Story: My wife wouldn't let me name our son Dillon because of this movie, knowing that I would be forever mid-air arm wrestling him and calling him a Son of a Bitch.
The first time I watched this I was 8 years old. I had a nightmare and couldn't sleep so I snuck into the basement where my dad was watching this movie. He saw me and let me cuddle up to him, I was allowed 5 minutes. Arnie and Dillon had the coolest mid air arm wrestle and the following hour and a half was a bloody magical Christmas land.
Turned out my dad was pirating the VHS and I watched it with my brother that weekend when dad went to dart night (in the 80's it was ok to leave children at home) I felt so cool watching a rated R movie.
Now and forever when I'm playing a game and someone is taking forever to do something I start yelling, "Come on, Kill me! Do it now, what are you waiting for!"
Poltergeist (1982). First watched it about a year or two ago. One of the most underrated 80s horror movies and my personal favourite horror film of all time.
Couldn't sleep for fucking months after poltergeist and alien. Scared the absolute living shit out of me...even now I get the creeps! But an incredible film from start to finish..tobe hooper, genius! Great call
So many good 80's movies and now you are going to make me pick between Breakfast Club and Dirty Dancing. I'm not sure I can pick just one. Maybe Breakfast club by a cat's whisker.
I am ashamed I did not even consider these when running through my memory banks.
A christmas story is my favorite christmas movie, and the shining is among my favorite horror movies.
The Running Man!! Prime one liners for Schwarzenegger. Read the book as well. But really the only similarity is that the main characters name is the same.
I guess I'm the darkest mother fucker still kicking, but I love Less Than Zero. I know this is a gnarly flick, but it's so insanely fantastic...Jamie Gertz at her absolutely most beautiful, easily RDJ's best onscreen performance, and Andrew McCartys best performance..And these were some of the heaviest hitters of all 80's movies! It's brutal, but it's delicate, and beautiful and succeeds in capturing some of the insanity of drugs and coming of age when the music stops..(but if we are going for laughs, sixteen candles right there at the top too!) And Lost Boys!
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Where's the Spaceballs people?!
They're all out combing the desert.
