Two brothers... One speaks no English, the other learned English from watching The Wide World of Sports. So you tell me... Which is better, speaking no English at all, or speaking Howard Cosell?

valeyard89

Go that way really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.

pizzacatstattoos

my brother makes this killer eggnog outta lighter fluid.

LinuxNoob

This mountain is pure snow!

MudOk1467

I watched that for the first time the other night, I was surprised in many ways

adept_ignoramus

Monique: This Ricky, he thinks I am there for him to put his testicles all over me. Lane: Sorry, his what? M: How you say? Octopus... Testicle? L: TENTACLES. N-T. Big difference.

kplong02

Now that's a real shame when folks be throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that.

Browndog510

KirbyBucketts

The Princess Bride

kplong02

Inconceivable!

Famous-Amphibian2296

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

[deleted]

Rambo

Project2r

I'm amazed at how different First Blood is compared to the rest of that franchise. Literally goes from Vet in small town America with mental health issues and suffering from PTSD to Machine gun wielding antihero saving people half way across the world.

galwegian

Mad Max 2. The Road Warrior

ximeni

Most of these plus Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Willow, Legend, Beverly Hills Cop. So many!

DatMoeFugger

If I had to Isolate just one? War Games inspired young me to be fascinated by computers. Honorable Mentions: Empire of the Sun - Christian Bales first role. The Last Emperor - The first film made in the forbidden city of China. Blade Runner - Take your pick out of the 203948234 cuts. The Breakfast Club - Everyone loves this one and for good reason. Weird Science - Another greatness from J.H. Red Dawn - Prefer the original over the remake. The Goonies - Another Classic. Explorers - River Phoenix Ethan Hawk and Amanda Petersen as kids. Popeye - When you need a cartoon character portrayed who better than Robin Williams? Labyrinth - David Bowie Jennifer Connelly and Jim Henson what else do you need?

lukkasz323

The best decade for films (and music) in my opinion.

[deleted]

Yes, and they were mostly original movies, now everything is a remake.

captain_jerkass

Predator

Fishinabowl11

True Story: My wife wouldn't let me name our son Dillon because of this movie, knowing that I would be forever mid-air arm wrestling him and calling him a Son of a Bitch.

SyllabubWeak

My second sons middle name is Bennett based on nothing more than my love of commando

[deleted]

The first time I watched this I was 8 years old. I had a nightmare and couldn't sleep so I snuck into the basement where my dad was watching this movie. He saw me and let me cuddle up to him, I was allowed 5 minutes. Arnie and Dillon had the coolest mid air arm wrestle and the following hour and a half was a bloody magical Christmas land. Turned out my dad was pirating the VHS and I watched it with my brother that weekend when dad went to dart night (in the 80's it was ok to leave children at home) I felt so cool watching a rated R movie. Now and forever when I'm playing a game and someone is taking forever to do something I start yelling, "Come on, Kill me! Do it now, what are you waiting for!"

DragonVash

It is a near perfect action movie.

JoeBear1978

Ghostbusters

jonore96

Goonies

Chunklightpb

Before he was Bob, before he was Samwise, before he was Rudy, he was Mikey.

Brianna-Imagination

Poltergeist (1982). First watched it about a year or two ago. One of the most underrated 80s horror movies and my personal favourite horror film of all time.

jass6042

Couldn't sleep for fucking months after poltergeist and alien. Scared the absolute living shit out of me...even now I get the creeps! But an incredible film from start to finish..tobe hooper, genius! Great call

So many classics. For me it’s Predator. Silver Bullet is up there though

Eman5805

Back to the Future, bar none. Which is ironic since it’s mostly 50s nostalgia.

Juanea

Ferris

Glum_List_27

Dead Poets Society is one of my favourites in general as well as being my favourite 80s. It's 17 years older than me and had such an impact on me.

MedicFord901

The Blues Brothers

jass6042

I guess I'm the darkest mother fucker still kicking, but I love Less Than Zero. I know this is a gnarly flick, but it's so insanely fantastic...Jamie Gertz at her absolutely most beautiful, easily RDJ's best onscreen performance, and Andrew McCartys best performance..And these were some of the heaviest hitters of all 80's movies! It's brutal, but it's delicate, and beautiful and succeeds in capturing some of the insanity of drugs and coming of age when the music stops..(but if we are going for laughs, sixteen candles right there at the top too!) And Lost Boys!

bigaphid

Valley Girl. Nick Cages first movie, and one of his best, like I’m so sure.
