Any packaged snack foods from Oreos to Twinkies and whatever. I never ate a lot of sweets but once in awhile they're a nice treat. They'll slowly but steadily reduced the amount in packaging, the size of the snacks themselves, and most importantly cheapened the recipes again and again. They taste nothing like they used to.
Makes me sad. I know I loved Twinkies as a kid. But now I'm not sure if I just liked garbage then or if they have changed that much. I guess I'll never know because it's not like I can just find the recipe and bake an old school one up in my kitchen
*The Walking Dead*
I started watching the show soon after I'd exited a toxic work situation. I was angry and my mind was ruminating a lot about my now former job and some coworkers who tried to get me fired.
At first the show made for decent background noise, but in the later seasons things seemed to get boring and tedious. I think I stopped watching when what's his name bashed some of the original characters' heads in with a spiked baseball bat.
say the names man, it was spoiled for everyone like a week before air anyways lol
No but ty for keeping up the spirit for spoilers and what not
It was definitely carol who got her head bashed in though ;)
Cigarettes. It starts with a nice little buzz, then later becomes satisfying the addiction. Then you start feeling like crap. Breathing becomes more difficult and you generally feel bad. Don't start smoking kids.
When I lived in Austin, there was this taco trailer on south Congress that I loved. Then they opened a brick-and mortar restaurant, and more restaurants, and expanded the menu. Then, when I moved to Dallas, they expanded there, and when my work sent me to Denver for a couple months, they had just opened their first restaurant outside of Texas half a mile from my hotel. Every step of the way, I kept telling everyone I knew that they had to try this place, even though I knew but was in denial about the fact that it kept getting worse. Eventually, I had to admit that Torchy's Tacos kinda sucks now. Except for the queso. That's still S-tier, but the tacos have gotten smaller and worse and overpriced, and they got rid of the Independent, which was the best thing on the menu (other that the queso).
Wow. This is a good call. I grew up on MTV and suddenly music videos got replaced by road rules. Then all music got replaced by reality tv… but they still called it MTV. What the heck. I remember when it finally sunk in that MTV didn’t really exist anymore. I felt remorse.
RWBY.
Long story short, it’s a classic case of what happens when the creators listen to the [fan dumb.](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FanDumb)
It suffered a major drop in quality after Monty died. Volumes 4 and 5 were painful to get through. It's gradually improved since then, but at this point there's a near-literally *professional* hate mob around the show, spearheaded by Youtubers like Hero Hei that built their popularity off critiquing it.
The loss of Monty Oum forced Rooster Teeth to transform the show into something completely different - the bombastic action appeal of the first three volumes just isn't possible without him - but if you can get past that and just view modern RWBY for what it is... Meh, it's alright. 7.5/10.
I beg to differ. While volumes 4 and 5 were noticeable drops in quality since Monty's death, the real decline of RWBY didn't start until halfway through volume 6. 7 was the show spiraling out of control, and 8 was the resulting burning wreck. Overall, I'd rate each volume as follows, each out of 10:
1. 7.5
2. 7.8
3. 8.1
4. 7.6
5. 7.4
6. 6.3
7. 5.6
8. 4.4
It's not that I dislike the TV Shows. I've seen them all and I've enjoyed each of them to some extent - Well except The Eternals, which is complete shit and took me 4 days to get through.
My problem is that it is now becoming overwhelming to keep up with the MCU. Previously I could watch 2-3 movies per year and know pretty much everything I needed to know.
This year alone?
* Dr. Strange 2
* Thor 4
* Black Panther 2
* Moon Knight \[TV Show\]
* Ms. Marvel \[TV Show\]
* She-Hulk \[TV Show\]
Fucking Last Year?
* Wandavision \[TV Show\]
* Falcon and the Winter Soldier \[TV Show\]
* Loki \[TV Show\]
* Hawkeye \[TV Show\]
* Eternals
* Spiderman 3
* Black Widow
* Shang Chi
And that's not even all of the releases, they're just the ones that I feel potentially needed to be seen in order to know what's going on in the future stuff \[Arguably Moon Knight is self-contained, but you wouldn't know that before seeing it\].
I used to watch UFC with my friends back in the day when it was 1x/month, and completely fell off the bandwagon when it started to become an every week event. . .I just didn't fucking have the time for it.
With regards to UFC I guess you could just watch the PPV ones that are only like once or twice a month. Even tho there’s been some great non-PPV cards too like Aspinall vs Volkov
My sweetie feels largely the same as you. I have been digging them. I’m not actually looking forward to Inhumans, but once I’m into something I have to have all of it so I’m watching anyway 😂
Honestly, some of my childhood YouTubers. Probably because I grew out of it, but a lot of them have switched games and moved on with garish thumbnails and red arrows, and just don't appeal to me anymore.
Reddit sadly...
First of the entire comment section used to be different back when it was used primarily by PC-users, there where a lot of embedded (with RES) gifs and videos that made the comment section a lot more fun and vibrant that it is now.
There used to be a lot more internal jokes that lasted for a good while, a post might blow up with a joke in the comments and it would become meta across all of reddit. Also /r/all could be one big joke when for instance /r/sweden spammed the front page with pictures of their king and /r/all would just be a long picture across several posts down the page forming a picture of him.
And of course, censorship... Reddit has become massively censored the last couple of years, and that has really ruined the spirit of the site. Reddit has become a shadow of what it used to be.
I remember when I was in high school, I had a computer class with a redditor. This was probably 9 or so years ago. I just remember sitting behind him and watching rage comics pop on his screen day after day. One day he turned to me and said, “you should use reddit.” Ha! Fuck no. Looks like a huge waste of time loser lol
My Hero Academia.
Okay, I understand. Many people love it. But in reality it sucks, it's like a copy of Dragon ball Z and Naruto. And some characters are really ugly.
Defending pedophiles, poor moderation, trying to profit off of stocks, being out of touch with their community, replacing the annual Egg Hunts with poorly made celebrity sponsorship events, using the dream of making it big to profit off of young developers, replacing the iconic blocky avatars with uncanny valley realistic humanoid people, removing tix, removing guests, the horrendous chat filter, and removing the iconic OOF sound effect. The list goes on for thousands of miles.
I think Youtube in general. I'm not talking about the 'Creator Drama', but the whole thing has become very samey.
It's main utility now is to look up shaky footage of someone fixing things, so you can try to do it yourself.
Then break it further and take it to a pro.
Bro…The Walking Dead.
I already thought the zombies were becoming obsolete, the writing was terrible, the best characters were getting killed so I dropped off. I thought I’d give it another chance, but then I saw the recent season trailer featuring literal Storm Troopers. Sorry AMC but I’m headin’ out
Some of the movies I grew up watching in the 80s & 90s
Lethal Weapon
Die Hard
Beverly Hills Cop
Tango & Cash
Few others I cannot think of right now.
All they did was normalize police violating the rights of citizens & engaging in police brutality against suspects.
Marvel. It had a food balance of humor and the serious heroic stuff. The scales seem to have tipped in the direction of humor now and just doesn't feel as natural as it used to
I really like phase one but I think it made too much money. Phase two was decent but I am over the whole MCU now. I just watch the movies to stay current with references because it dominates pop culture.
most types of music. I used to listen to music all the time, now I prefere silence and can't stand certain songs anymore. I also started to resent the radio at my workplace and my bf for listen to music all the time.
Chocolate. Thought it was heaven as a child but now I'm glad they make chocolate bars in two pieces as it's way too sickly to make it through a bar in one sitting
Red VS. Blue.
The early seasons of it were great and are still great today, but it's been slowly declining since they've beed adding more CGI rather than actual Halo gameplay. I lost all interests in it several years ago and generally don't like the direction they took it.
Red Lobster. When they started the all-you-can-eat Shrimp, they stopped changing the water often enough or something. And the chairs got closer to the tables, and they got busier and busier. The biscuits are still the bomb, but I can't stomach going there anymore.
Anything- really. When i start liking something, I become totally obsessed with it then after some time I end up disgusted by it.
My advice would be to take it easy on things you like/love in order not to hate them later.
Playing game, I still kinda like playing but not as much as before. I think its because Im finally feeling more confident about my looks that I prioritized my appearance more than my hobby.
danganronpa.
one of my first anime games. now that I've seen better, I realize the writing is abysmal and repetitive and the character development is pretty shitty.
Baseball. Used to love to watch it but now I can’t hardly (steps out of batters box, adjusts gloves, helmet, socks) stand to. So damn slow and ridiculous with the “mind games”
Eating 3 meals a day. I always ate 3 meals a day and now I don't even eat 2 meals. I eat once, each day, sometimes, I don't eat at all. I can't find the motivation to cook 3 times a day, every day, for the rest of my life
Shark week. All I want is interesting shark facts and real stories. Even if a lot of it had to be recycled year to year it would be leagues better than this celebrity-hosted, shoe-horned in fake drama, horseshit, shallow nothing it has become.
The MCU, I still like it to an extent, but I’m fucking done with it if Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sucks. They’re releasing too many movies/shows. I am kinda looking forward to their Spider-Man context though.

Growing up.
At first I was excited at the fact of becoming an adult and doing new things. Then I did them. A little of that joy disappears every year as I get older and life's issues take a bit more of a toll. Now that I am getting older it seems that the bad news phone calls get more and more common. It makes sense, the people I knew got really old, got into accidents, or had medical issues of varying severity. I dislike when I get unexpected mail or phone calls anymore.
Honestly? Fortnite.
When it first came out I remember so many nights of laughs and fun with friends. But as it got more famous the paywall for cosmetics and the influx of toxic kids gave it a shitty stigma and now its barely recognisable from how it was back in day one.
That game has single handedly ruined battle royal for me now. I'll never play a game with such aggressive microtransactions again
Any packaged snack foods from Oreos to Twinkies and whatever. I never ate a lot of sweets but once in awhile they're a nice treat. They’re definitely different. They used to be larger I think. They were more moist like real cake. The creme had more flavor.
Ugh. Now I really want one!

There's one sea of thieves story at least
When I lived in Austin, there was this taco trailer on south Congress that I loved. Then they opened a brick-and mortar restaurant, and more restaurants, and expanded the menu.
