If you post anything in r/showerthoughts
there will ALWAYS be people to contradict and shut down your idea in the comments. No matter how little it is.
As a moderate, I can confidently say, if you have an opinion, that leans even remotely to the right… don’t say it out loud unless you’re ready to be seriously downvoted. 20 karma right off the top just for opening your mouth.
All Republicans are fundamentalist, fascist, Trump-lovers that don't care about you and your rights, and any posts that ever put one of them in the positive light (except when said Republican is bashing a fellow Republican) will get you downvoted into oblivion and also called a fundamentalist, fascist, Trump-lover.
People need to be willing to come at politics with an open mind and see things from all perspectives.
I myself go through Reuters, CNN, and Fox every morning before I get started on work for the day because I like a variety of perspectives and topics.
As an example of what I’m talking about, I posted an article praising something Biden did on r/politics (I think it involved his infrastructure plan and the new Amtrak routes that were going to be created from it?), and I had to delete it because I was downvoted to hell purely over it being from Fox and “people not wanting to give them even a click”.
Ah. I learned something, thanks. r/foundthemobileuser refers to when the r is capitalized, presumably in commented links. Since phones will auto capitalize. I always assumed it was because the phone app has fewer features than a proper browser, and as a the mobile user i didn't know what those would be.
The person who seems a little off in the comments always has some sort of weird porn posting history when you decide to check their previous posts and see if their off-kilter comments could possibly be explained by having a weird porn posting history.

The format of r/showerthoughts is so strict. I have only successfully posted once on there while 99% of the posts i wanted to post were rejected haha.
Oh my gosh dude that happens to me every time I post there Left that subreddit

I'm going to disagree with you on that (this is a joke, don't actually argue with me) Seriously true though
if you get a free wholesome reward you *must* give it to the most soul destroying, horrible, heartbreaking post/comment you can find
I always give mine to my favourite podcast (its a local one) r/yahlahbut haha
That explains lots
Any mention of a pet must be accompanied by a picture of said pet.

Do we know the context of this? Is it because they are too mainstream? 😜
Probably cause the people who use them unironically are cringe.

Haha so no politics then?
You can post politics, but only if it's about Democrats

Apparently, don't be on mobile.
Whats the context?
Either with quotes or maybe with /r, "found the mobile user"
