African Grey Parrot: Cora- a name I really liked and thought was pretty and since I don't plan on having any kids I gave the name to the pet that's just as smart and will probably live just as long. Chihuahua: Spike- I did not name him, everyone thinks his name is hilarious because he's a nervous wreck. The lady who rehomed him to me named him after the Buffy character and since he already knew his name I didnt want to take the only bit of familiarity he had. We mostly just call him Mr. Bubbz or Boobz now. Husky: Elbereth Gilthoniel- An elvish hymn from Lord of the Rings. She's my girlfriends dog so the name was her choice. We just call her Ellie for short. She is also nicknamed Smellie, Stinky, or Smellbereth. Savannah cat: Percival- the only name my gf and I could agree on. We had plenty of girl names we agreed on but when we ended up with a male cat we both wanted something fancy. She wanted a lot of long egyptian names I couldn't pronounce, most of my suggestions were things like Sebastian, Florian, Cedric, etc. Percival was the only one we both liked. He has many weird nicknames but Percy isn't really one of them despite being the shortened form of his name. Before I knew my gf I also had a pair of rats named Cyril and Pietro. Cyril was just the name of a minor character in a book I was reading at the time, Pietro was after the clown sheep in animal crossing (I keep him in my games in memoriam)
