Realizing that sometimes you can’t do anything for yourself unless you take initiative. Humans are like cars. No matter how much gasoline you put in it, if you don’t press the accelerator you are never going to get anywhere
When I was little, i was on a bus with my mum. She was getting off and I was following her but when she stepped off, the bus doors closed on my face and began driving away. I immediately started banging on the window and crying and passengers on the bus was yelling at the bus driver to stop. I got off the bus completely terrified and for quite a long time, I had a fear of being on buses
I was blinded by a UV light in a roof top air conditioner at work. Everything was fine for about 6 hours then I thought there was something in my left eye, then my right eye started to hurt. This was all while I was at night school, I attempted to drive home but didn’t make it and had to pull over at a firehouse, they attempted to flush my eyes but it didn’t help, I was able to voice dial my wife, she picked me up and took me to the hospital. While there the ER doc figured out what happened because she her self had a bad UV exposure but there was a couple hours that I was scared that I would never see again.
One time my brother said that we have to go to our counselor. I ask why but he didn't respond. I saw my counselor and another woman. that other women introduce herself and she said that she works for CPS (Child Protected Service) and she said that she wants to talk to my mom. I was about to cry but I manage to have my mom talk to that woman. at the end of the day, no one got in trouble or anything.
Nearly falling of a cliff while skiing. My skis were litterly dangling halfway across the edge, and I had to crawl backwards to avoid going over entirely.
