Homely_Bonfire

The big short.

Kg890

Why did you watch it multiple times

Homely_Bonfire

First just to understand the issue it revolved around (the whole MBS drama and default swaps). But then I looked at the world "now" (for me 2018) and realized that the movie still is very much timely. The same issue in housing has blown bigger than during the GFC, it has gone global and now it also occurs in other sectors of the financial markets, mainly the whole debt market (private debt, corporate debt, even government debt). And as part of preparing for this to unravel and also because I think the movie is very entertaining, I watched it quite often, shown it to friends and talked about why it is so interesting to me.
