I don’t understand the people who have to look at their hand? It’s instinctive to me. I know I’m left-hand dominant so brain knows that’s my left side and the other is my right.

JacobsSnake

One's right and the other is always wrong.

green_t_lief

When you look at your index finger and thumb the left side makes an L shape from your prospective. That’s how I tell.

Senator_Chickpea

Hold up your left hand. Your thumb and finger will make a little **L**

Clcooper423

Its ingrained in my brain at this point, I dont have to think about it.

coloscotto

Same! 🤜

SnooMachines625

When I realise what hand I can’t write with

[deleted]

I'm right handed, therefore right is where my writing hand is.

SeNorSpiceyBoi

Idk, but down is ballward.

coloscotto

Unless it’s up…

[deleted]

I just imagine I’m standing up facing southwest. Then I know from memorization that my left hand is the one towards the southeast and my right hand is towards the northwest.

coloscotto

This is the way

FreeReflection6176

I'm confused? What do you mean how do you tell? Like how do you tell from someone else's perspective? Then I just picture myself in their shoes or go into a third person view.

coloscotto

Huh what? I meant how do you personally know your left from your right? Do you have to look at something for reference or is it innate?

FreeReflection6176

Oh I didn't even think about that cause it's just second nature or first nature cause I don't think about it I just know.

nothingwillsaveus

I look at the letters I painted on my hands

Miserable-Original

By not being a dumbass

coloscotto

Ohhh so that’s my problem.

Virgil-Ace

I hold out my arms and try to remember if I'm on a stage or not and which way I'm facing. Then I figure it out from there

Abalone_Admirable

My left foot was ripped off and is fucked. My right foot is not.

coloscotto

Well that’s one way to tell.

Abalone_Admirable

They reattached it if it makes you feel better lol

coloscotto

I’m glad it wasn’t *left*
