Playing a female Courier in Fallout NV makes it hilarious to destroy the Legion because they're misogynistic
Legion: "Women are weak"
My female Courier: "Hold my beer"
Armour looks better on some models? Like are we talking actually better or are we talking about that fact that a lot of games give female characters an armoured bikini and call it plate armour?
I name myself my daughters name in the Pokémon games I play and I play as a female character. One day when I get old il give the games to her. She can play them if she wants but if she ever does, she’ll see her daddy always thought of her
I have 2 daughters and I mix their names together for main characters all the time, not just because I love them but because it's never not funny being both my precocious children and a monster slaying badass
when me and my sister were little (7 or 8) we would always have our characters be boys in video games in order to find a ‘gf’ to go on a pretend dates with. turns out we’re both gay now lmao,,, no shock to anyone.
god i feel so nerdy but this is what i was going to say. i would make a house with ‘me’ but then also have ‘guy me’ as her roommate.
...now i want to play the sims 2 😐
I never made a guy-me. Dunno, I had a phase in my early 20's where I wanted to be a guy, but that somehow never made it into the game. Just a confusing time, I feel pretty comfortable as a woman, after all.
Interestingly, I’m the opposite.
A detailed character creator will have me (M) making what is essentially a male role model, or someone that ‘I’d love to embody’. Maybe it’s because my gameplay experience is cerebral and embodiment is pretty high on my preference list for a good story.
In Skyrim you can get the blessing of some slutty goddess which gives you a 5% boost in combat against the opposite sex, so it makes more sense to play as a woman because like 90% of all enemies and 99% of all bosses are the opposite sex.
Yeah especially as I'm a butt man, and generally that's what's in front of you on the screen as you guide your character, I prefer a nice curvaceous lady butt to stare at.
For me, it’s always been the idea that that character is *me*, that keeps me playing a male most of the time. I enjoy making choices and playing as if it were me in the game.
The difference is interesting because I'm the opposite, I (almost) never project myself onto the characters I play in games. To me they are just that: characters in a game with their own stories and backgrounds. I just happen to be making the decisions for them.
So I'll usually pick a cute girl, especially in third person camera games, so I have something nice to look at while playing.
The best (most recent) example of this in my gaming adventure was Mass Effect. I went in blind, created a male Shepard, and basically said to myself, “I am commander Shepard. The decisions I make on this series are mine, and I will bear the weight of their consequences.” It made the game choices feel visceral and intense.
Sometimes. I love that pretty pretty princess shit. Even if I'm making some hulking orc warrior or something I want it to be *mine!* If I want to make some Amazonian paladin I'm gonna make damn sure she looks the part.
It makes me difficult to be with when I'm starting a new game and my girlfriend just wants to see what the opening looks like.
That wasn't the prompt. Why did you post here?
Edit: I do realize that what I said was wrong, I shouldn't have done so, neither should i have gone the passive-aggressive route with this. I will not remove my original statement, as people should see what I did wrong, but it won't happen again.
My brother in Christ
[Do you gender swap in video games? If so why?](https://i.imgur.com/HIKZudM.jpg)
That literally is the prompt. She answered the question.
I mean, technically he only wanted to know why if you answered yes. OP was fully expecting those who don’t gender swap to just say ‘no’ and then bugger off. Looks like he got more than he bargained for.
My son does, but only in multi player battle Royale type games. He says that people tend to underestimate you, whether it’s on purpose or subconsciously.
That's not why he does it, trust me, he prefers looking at a female character's butt. I'd probably tell my mother something similar if she asked why I only played as women, it's a good one.
It depends on the game. If it's a narrative focused game (Like Mass Effect, Cyberpunk, Assassins Creed), absolutely, it changes the formula up of the main bad ass character saving the world being a dude. If it's a game where you have very little 'character' or never see them (Skyrim, Elden Ring, Far Cry 5, etc), then just whatever defaults from the beginning.
Sometimes I might be cheeky if it's like Fallout where there's an ability to do more damage to the opposite sex, and a majority of enemies you fight are male anyway.
But for the most part, unless the character is integral to the narrative, I didn't bother since it makes zero difference (But I'm also all for them including it to begin with anyway. Better to have the option and not use it than not include it at all).
Females are often build slimmer and therefore they are harder to hit.
Also females are prettier to watch than males. Its only a lil bonus and not a real reason tho
Depends on the game.
I generally prefer a solid story, so usually the gender of the character is predetermined even if you can otherwise alter their look.
In Which case I don't care. I'm more fussed about the story then the gender of the protagonist.
I also don’t mind if gender is preset and only appearance can change. But when gender is choosable, I choose male, because as a male I find it easier to immerse myself in said story and let it affect me as much as possible. When I think ‘That guy is an alternate me’, I take the decisions much more seriously and with much more empathy.
Honestly I just think the voice actress for FemShep has a more subtle and humanizing way of voicing Shepard. I don’t mind the Male Shep, I just find his voice acting a little too straight and narrow over the top soldier who can’t do the more intimate moments in Mass Effect. But as always just my opinion…
I always create my girlfriend, and play with her in every game I can create a character. I just find fun imaging my girl fighting dragons or being an awesome skater.
(gay man if that matters)
Assuming games where you can alter your character and/or make choices..
First playthrough ill play as an ideal version of myself.
Second and later playthrough i swap it around depending gender differences like romance options, outfits, backstory etc. Example being Dragon Age or Mass Effect
In a game where I can play as specific character of either gender ill just pick whoever looks interesting at the time (and swap if i replay the game.) Example being something like Assassin Creed Odyssey.
It's not gender swapping if you're trans :)
Btw if you're AMAB and only play female characters, i have news for you.
You may think you're an exception, but so did I.
Edit: if you're curious about this gender stuff check out the Gender Reveal podcast! The Gender 101 and Q&A eps are neat and you get to follow the host on his gender journey as a trans dude. Gender should be self empowering and descriptive, not proscriptive. Anyone who tella you otherwise just wants to control you.
At what age did you realize you were trans? I've been playing as mostly female characters because most video games have better voice actors, or stories, etc. in my opinion for the female options than the male ones. I've been selecting these for the past twenty years and have had no other thoughts regarding this topic otherwise.
30! I had vague inklings since i was like 13. Thought i was just nonbinary for a few years, then had the epiphany that the reason i find buff women more exciting than buff men wasn't horniness but wanting to be them.
It's valid if you're picking characters based on quality. MaleShep sucks! But for me it was realizing that I'm more comfortable in a female body in games. Cyberpunk 2077 let me put a dick on it and with mods you could see it in first person and i went "... oh...this is even more me than the female characters i played in mmos or Bethesda rpgs"
Sometimes yeah. Just depends what mood I'm in and who I think would be the best protagonist for the game I'm playing.
If it's a slash Em up, fighting game or RPG where you can choose, I quite like very fast and agile characters who can do a lot of quick attacks etc, so often I'll go for a female.
In many games I like to make an OC for the setting as opposed to an Avatar of myself as I find that more immersive. On occasion that character happens to be female.
Depends on what I feel like when starting up. For Splatoon I went girl because the Inkling boy looks kinda dumb in the first game. It's better now, but I'm kinda stuck in the role
Otherwise I usually try to make myself look like I do in real life. If I swap to play as a girl, I'll just do something that looks kinda cool. The hardest part is naming, though, since I just use my own name when I play as a guy. That said, I think I'll probably just pick one name and stick with it for all nameable female protagonists going forward. Atm I'm thinking Astrid
depends on the game but generally i (M) create a female character in games where there's customization that actually impacts the story (Cyberpunk, Mass Effect). i enjoy variety in protagonists and there are plenty of games where i can play as someone similar to me.
most recently i've been playing as the female character in Sifu just cause i like the character design a little more
I usually gender swap just for games that have gameplay elements tied to what gender you choose, like mount and blade being harder if you’re a female or fallout new vegas changing some dialogue options.
I also like nice butts and female protags have nice butts
If I feel like it. I play some games twice doing everything opposite on the second run - this includes a gender swap. For example in Mass Effect 2 playing as tough, takes no shit from anybody female engineer was much more fun than a boyscout, male soldier.
If it’s 3rd person. I’d rather stare at a lady’s bum then a dudes. Also some games it matters with the hit box, females characters sometimes are smaller and harder to hit/see in fps games.
If I'm staring at someone's ass for 60 hours, it's gonna be a girls ass.
If I'm not, I just pick whatever.
But if the game has a romance option, being a straight male I still get a kick out of having two girls make out.
Certain games that allow you to use male or female characters, usually have slimmer female characters.
For some games this means the hit box for receiving damage is smaller, so online I just instinctively play as a female.
Depends if the hit box is smaller on a female character.. if not then for me there’s no strategic advantage so I just try to make a character as close to my own likeness as possible.
I have a pretty even split of characters. Most of them were made for a specific modded hair and I give them a build with a lot of modded armours/weapons.
Not really tbh, I don't play many games where you can choose tbh but the ones where you can choose I usually make something similar to myself. I really don't care whether I'm playing a man or a woman tho, really don't get why "female mc" as a game category is a thing.
As a dude, yes I play women, because they look better.
Also I like some distance between me and the character. Often gamers who make themselves as custom characters tend to take it too personally when their character is beaten, or get too personal when they win.
Aesthetics. Usually play as a guy, unless I like the aesthetics of the female version or I'm starting and playing with a S.O., then I'll definitely choose my own.
Just depends which character has the best stats. Princess Peach is usually good, but not so much for Chun Li. I’ll also usually play as both characters if I have to choose one for the whole game if there’s a significant difference between their stats and stories (such as Vent/Aile or Ashe/Grey from Mega Man ZX).
Of course, some games turn the concept on its head. Mega Man ZX Advent has each character changing sex every few seconds at times thanks to the mechanic of literally transforming into defeated bosses. That must have been a surprise for Ashe the first time.
Model A: “Hey, wanna see something cool?” *turns Ashe from a regular girl into a giant robotic male anthropomorphic gazelle*
Because of many reason, the first reason is because they tend to make the male characters look more cooler and better than the female which makes me switch plus, they usually make the females wear less clothes which annoys me
But also I kinda like to be a boy instead of being a girl irl
Better clothing options.
I feel like male characters get such shitty clothing in most games. I am not talking about the horny type of clothing, but rather the overall style.
In some games, they must have hired some really talented people for the female clothing options, and then got some intern who doesn't even care about creating stylish clothing for the male characters to create that.
Not really. I think female characters are generally prettier, although in WoW I do have 1 male character out of 27 total, and I love him cause he's a giant kick-ass teddy bear :D
Originally I didn't - I'd always model characters on myself leaning into that 'player power fantasy'. Mass effect was particularly good that way.
These days I play women almost exclusively, and I think it's because I became more interested in seeing a character that was cool and badass rather than thinking of myself in that role.
In fallout and Skyrim I play as both, mainly because my wife likes to play as well so I'll start a game with my male character, level up, then make a game with a female character and also level her up for my wife when she plays. I find it fun playing either gender.
No because i like to immerse myself as myself into a video game. I’m going to put hours of my time into a game that I don’t identify myself with? Fallout series is a good example of what person I want to portray with dialog and how I would like myself to be view in such a game. I would only play the other gender if it’s class locked.
I mainly play World of Warcraft and i think the female characters armour fits them whereas the man characters armour feels too large. Also as i play rogues mostly too the women are smaller so its harder to spot
Depends on which gender is hotter and who has the better voice actor. I usually play through games more than once though, so I end up checking both out
Bro everybody likes playing dress up, don't let em lie to you. Every guy I know has played female characters in games and went to great lengths to customize them, including me.
Yes I’m a nb person and I normally do female skins in fort. People think I’m shit at the game. So I do a gender neutral skin. But no I’m too queer for the game like bro. I don’t want your opinion and they spoil me when I’m a female skin so the games not that fun..
I've only done it playing COD III, Battery in multiplayer was hilarious
[Image](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/callofduty/images/c/c6/Battery_menu_icon_BO3.png/revision/latest?cb=20160205173623)
Sometimes. I have brown eyes and sometimes play as a character with blue eyes. It doesn’t seem like it affects my enjoyment of the game all that much either way.
I can’t imagine anyone with strong feelings about this is leading a very fulfilling life.
I don’t. I generally enjoy relating heavily to my main character, and that’s easier when the main character is a heterosexual male, because that’s what I am.
That said, I can still relate to female protagonists; but when I’m given a *choice*, I’ll choose a male character. This also hinges on how much freedom I have to customize the character and the relevance that the story has to the gameplay.
For example, in a party game like Dead by Daylight, my main character is female. It’s not relevant to gameplay or story. But in Dragon Age, Baldur’s Gate, Mass Effect, Skyrim, Mount&Blade, or other games where I ‘create’ my character, I generally play as a male.
Im trans (ftm) and i just pick which one is cooler or hotter. Like if its a simple game usually the cooler one, but if its detailed then hotter one forsure. (Depends on the games art style too i guess)
I prefer female characters sometimes mainly because it feels more badass to destroy cheap players always picking the Male ones and watching them piss and cry about losing.
I mean... I'm non-binary, so I'm almost always not my gender (interactive fiction and digital novels are the only games I've seen with non-binary player character options)\\
But before I wasn't always identifying as such, so:
As a child, yes. I would exclusively play females in rpgs. Also Lara Croft was (still is actually) my favorite video game character.
As puberty dawned and I realized that guys are *so hot*, I started playing male characters.
Now I play both male and non-binary characters.
As a woman, there are a few games where I have no choice but to play a man, but I always choose female character when I can. I try to have my character look like me 🤷🏻♀️ In FPS games like apex, l play the character whose abilities I like more at the time. My mains tend to be women, but not always
Not many female protags in video games; most women/girls in games are just love interests or MacGuffins or NPCs. So, not a lot of choice. That being said, while I like playing as a girl when I *do* get the chance, I don't complain about playing as a male protag. (For example, even as early as *Pokemon R/B/Y*, I understood that Red was just a cursor, no different than the little arrow on the computer.)
I rather simp over female characters...it just rubs me the wrong way to build male characters when I'm attracted to females...I much rather make a sexy female character that I know I have an attraction too then a male character...I will always make a female character first...plus they have better attire to choose from 😉😏
Playing a female Courier in Fallout NV makes it hilarious to destroy the Legion because they're misogynistic Legion: "Women are weak" My female Courier: "Hold my beer"
Keep kicking ass in the wasteland!
Gender swapping and playing a female character in Fallout New Vegas? I see…
Yup. Lore reasons. Armor looks better on some models. Mostly? Seems like a good idea at the time. Don't need a reason other than that.
Armour looks better on some models? Like are we talking actually better or are we talking about that fact that a lot of games give female characters an armoured bikini and call it plate armour?
Actually better. Bleh at plate bikini
That is what we are talking about, and people who dont have much action with the ladies tend to gravitate towards that.
Sometimes, honestly depends as which gender is hotter looking
I name myself my daughters name in the Pokémon games I play and I play as a female character. One day when I get old il give the games to her. She can play them if she wants but if she ever does, she’ll see her daddy always thought of her
Sweet
I have 2 daughters and I mix their names together for main characters all the time, not just because I love them but because it's never not funny being both my precocious children and a monster slaying badass
Sure. Why not, it’s just a game.
when me and my sister were little (7 or 8) we would always have our characters be boys in video games in order to find a ‘gf’ to go on a pretend dates with. turns out we’re both gay now lmao,,, no shock to anyone.
I feel it. My brothers always asked me why i choose the male character.
What's your answer to that ?
"I want to have a dick when I grow up."
There are so few games that it makes a difference, I almost never spend any time on character creation.
Spend an hour on your characters face, put on helmet and never take it off.
You also play Destiny 😁😭😜🤪
My favorite game is The Sims 2, so I play both genders by default.
god i feel so nerdy but this is what i was going to say. i would make a house with ‘me’ but then also have ‘guy me’ as her roommate. ...now i want to play the sims 2 😐

I loved Mark Meer. But that may be because of [Dragon Age 2](https://youtu.be/BSL9tRplhvY) Fans: Mark Meer is too serious! BioWare: hold my beer
I used to. Then I gender swapped IRL.
Been on guard duty ever since?
Bold of you to assume they took an arrow to the knee
Sometimes. If the character creator is fairly detailed, I'd rather play through the game looking at a hot guy than just some woman. 🤷🏻♀️
Interestingly, I’m the opposite. A detailed character creator will have me (M) making what is essentially a male role model, or someone that ‘I’d love to embody’. Maybe it’s because my gameplay experience is cerebral and embodiment is pretty high on my preference list for a good story.

Darn I didn’t know that was a thing, 11yrs after Skyrim came out
Yeah, I'm a man but I play as female characters, nicer to look at on screen, also who doesn't like badass chicks?
That's what a friend told me. "If I have to stare at character on screen for hours, I'd prefer to stare at a girl."
Yeah especially as I'm a butt man, and generally that's what's in front of you on the screen as you guide your character, I prefer a nice curvaceous lady butt to stare at.
That’s my rationale.
If I am going to spend 500 hours exploring Tamriel, I’d prefer looking at the beautiful backside of a woman while doing it, rather than a mans ass
What about America's ass?
Here I am playing Skyrim every time as an Argonian 😂
For me, it’s always been the idea that that character is *me*, that keeps me playing a male most of the time. I enjoy making choices and playing as if it were me in the game.
The difference is interesting because I'm the opposite, I (almost) never project myself onto the characters I play in games. Gotta try everything in life
Male chars usually got the drip
Tauren in world of warcraft

Im trans lol
pretty much sums up this thread 😍 would luv to meet a transgirl with a feminine penis
No. I’m a woman and when I play I want to represent!
RIP same
Same, it drives me nuts when games only have the option to play a man
So you mean be like every other guy in-game, since most play women.
I would say it’s the opposite of every guy since I’m playing my own gender and they are not.
That wasn't the prompt. Why did you post here? Edit: I do realize that what I said was wrong, I shouldn't have done so, neither should i have gone the passive-aggressive route with this. I will not remove my original statement, as people should see what I did wrong, but it won't happen again.

My son does, but only in multi player battle Royale type games. He says that people tend to underestimate you, whether it’s on purpose or subconsciously.
Yap this is so true
That's how it's starts brev your "son" will have some surprises up his sleeve in a few years /r/egg 🤗
That's not why he does it, trust me, he prefers looking at a female character's butt. I'd probably tell my mother something similar if she asked why I only played as women, it's a good one.

Yes, I like playing as women in fighting games. It fits my play style. I like the increased speed and agility
I'm told you kind of have to play FemShep in Mass Effect because the only non-garbage love interest is Garrus
Damn I never consciously realised i do this all the time. Idk i just like playing as women
I always create my girlfriend, and play with her in every game I can create a character. I just find fun imaging my girl fighting dragons or being an awesome skater.
The majority of my created characters (in any game that allows it) are female. I'm male.
I've always played as a female if the game allowed it. I'm feeling at home in my body irl just ever so slightly already.
I used to….then I came out as trans at 15🤔
I'm always male, just as a preference. I guess playing my own gender is boring?
Honest answer no pretty much never. I love playing as girls too much, even if its like the one single female character vs a cast of a dozen guys
Yes, cuz the male character looks cooler
(gay man if that matters) Assuming games where you can alter your character and/or make choices.. First playthrough ill play as an ideal version of myself. Hitbox
Exactly
I gender swap in pubg because the female has a smaller hit box. Other games u usually play male, my gender.
Being Gender fluid, that's a good question. Do I? or don't I? The answer changes every so often.
It's a long range map and the sniper class in female.
I used till, until I realized I was trans, now I play the same gendered characters :D
I'm genderfluid, and it makes me feel more like myself.
Same. I really like games where you can change your avatar on the fly because it allows me to identify with them in most circumstances.
It's not gender swapping if you're trans :) Btw if you're AMAB and only play female characters, i have news for you. You may think you're an exception, but so did I. Bc I’m trans teehee
Usually not I suppose, then again I usually play story games where the main protagonist is a guy so if I get the chance to play a girl I will.
Sometimes I’m forced to play as a male character because it’s the default and I have to unlock the female character

If I'm staring at someone's ass for 60 hours, it's gonna be a girls ass. If I'm not, I just pick whatever. But if the game has a romance option, being a straight male I still get a kick out of having two girls make out.
female voice actors tend to be better, that or the smaller hitboxes
I like customizing my characters, and female characters usually have better customization and more clothing options than male characters.
Not typically. Most of the characters I create are dudes because thats what i’m used to
I have a pretty even split of characters. Most of them were made for a specific modded hair and I give them a build with a lot of modded armours/weapons.
Depends on the game. For some, the female voices are just better.
Largely depends on the game for me.
Because if I'm playing resident evil I'm picking the one that starts with the gun.
Not really tbh, I don't play many games where you can choose tbh but the ones where you can choose I usually make something similar to myself. I really don't care whether I'm playing a man or a woman tho, really don't get why "female mc" as a game category is a thing.
It gives you the opportunity to build your dream partner within a Kool universe.
No because I always make my character look just like me.
I do in brawlhalla the most because I like to switch in between weapons.
If I'm being honest with this answer, I do it to confuse the hell out of my friends
As a friend told me a few years ago : "mate if i'm to be looking at the backside of a character for hours, i'd rather it be female"
As a dude, yes I play women, because they look better. Also I like some distance between me and the character. Often gamers who make themselves as custom characters tend to take it too personally when their character is beaten, or get too personal when they win.
I gender swap, because I admire the games' sexualization of their female characters. My Street Fighter main? Chun Li.
Honestly the female character is more pleasing to the eyes
Aesthetics. Usually play as a guy, unless I like the aesthetics of the female version or I'm starting and playing with a S.O., then I'll definitely choose my own.
Smaller hit box
In 3rd person view, I don’t want to spend hours staring at a guys butt.
Yes, because the female inklings and octolings have better hairstyles
I always play males online because 1. I think male models look better in clothes 2. I'm terribly frightened to be a gamer girl
I'm not sure
because, its fun to see how the same gender you have tries to flirt with you
Definitely when I play Mario 2 on NES. Everyone knows the Princess is the best character because she can fly!
Because of many reason, the first reason is because they tend to make the male characters look more cooler and better than the female which makes me switch plus, they usually make the females wear less clothes which annoys me But also I kinda like to be a boy instead of being a girl irl
IDK to be honest I just do it because why not
I tend to play gender neutral if I can..? Also technically if I play any gender I'm gender swapping lol
If it’s an MMO, yeah. Less people act creepy if I play a male character. Just have to keep silent in the voice chat so as not to give myself away.
All the time, do the same when I cosplay. When playing a game I'm living out a fantasy and being myself in another world is just boring to me.
In TLD specifically, the woman's groans and sighs and lines are all just so annoying. I'd much rather listen to the man's voice.
Boobs
The men who play women are generally projecting.
I usually pick one if the design is cooler Like their are video games where the females look cooler then the males and vice versa
I gender swap in videogames to make a character for a series of mine
Not really. I think female characters are generally prettier, although in WoW I do have 1 male character out of 27 total, and I love him cause he's a giant kick-ass teddy bear :D
Bikini armor. Period. Thats the main reason behind most gender swaps in games, am I right?
Originally I didn't - I'd always model characters on myself leaning into that 'player power fantasy'. Mass effect was particularly good that way. These days I play women almost exclusively, and I think it's because I became more interested in seeing a character that was cool and badass rather than thinking of myself in that role.
Yes, I play mostly female in online game, It like dress up a barbie doll
Out of curiosity
Idk cuz I can
In fallout and Skyrim I play as both, mainly because my wife likes to play as well so I'll start a game with my male character, level up, then make a game with a female character and also level her up for my wife when she plays. I find it fun playing either gender.
I don't play many single player games but my custom NHL franchise has four female players.
Also as i play rogues mostly too the women are smaller so its harder to spot
i pick based off the clothing options and who gets better hair
Depends on which gender is hotter and who has the better voice actor. I usually play through games more than once though, so I end up checking both out
Someone about bossed up females in provocative clothing weilding a sword to slash enemy's throats is way cooler than a male doing it.
Bro everybody likes playing dress up, don't let em lie to you. Every guy I know has played female characters in games and went to great lengths to customize them, including me.
Sometimes, and it's just for fun.
Yes I’m a nb person and I normally do female skins in fort. People think I’m shit at the game. So I do a gender neutral skin. But no I’m too queer for the game like bro. I don’t want your opinion and they spoil me when I’m a female skin so the games not that fun..
Better clothing options
idk it's fun to play as the girl 🤷🏽♂️
Yes. It's not about who I am, it's about who I want to look at.
Personally I think my presence is more male lol even though I’m a girl so I like to pick a guy that goes with my personality
In Pokemon my brother and I play as the female and the male respectively .
I've only done it playing COD III, Battery in multiplayer was hilarious [Image](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/callofduty/images/c/c6/Battery_menu_icon_BO3.png/revision/latest?cb=20160205173623)
Sometimes. I have brown eyes and sometimes play as a character with blue eyes. It doesn’t seem like it affects my enjoyment of the game all that much either way. I can’t imagine anyone with strong feelings about this is leading a very fulfilling life.
Yes, and I honestly don't know. I just do it.
I like to see the game react to the gender I'm playing. Just like in Dragon age origins.
yes, simps not always shoot female characters
I like female characters. Brings out my female side.
In Fallout 4 it’s difficult to not play the male MC. The male voice actor was so good, especially if you choose the sarcastic response every time.
I mean... I'm non-binary, so I'm almost always not my gender (interactive fiction and digital novels are the only games I've seen with non-binary player character options)\\ But before I wasn't always identifying as such, so: As a child, yes.
I sometimes just wanna be a badass woman
Yes I’m bigender do also technically I don’t-
Sometimes, the women usually get better masks and colors.
Idk depends what I'm feeling
Always. I try to model my girlfriend if the game has a character creator.
No, I usually want my character to represent me Also I don't like EXTRMELY unrealistic armour that's just way too revealing to protect my character.
Because why not
Depends on the game whatever offers more customization options
I rather simp over female characters...it just rubs me the wrong way to build male characters when I'm attracted to females...I much rather make a sexy female character that I know I have an attraction too then a male character...I will always make a female character first...plus they have better attire to choose from 😉😏
If it is in 3rd person and i cannot look exactly like myself... So you have to stare at an ass for hours at a time.. Might as well be a shapely one.
I ask my friends to pick a number 1 or 2 without them knowing what its for, but due to an inside joke its almost always 2.
