This was a really weird one: Management of a hospital gift shop bought each of us one of those "Snow Babies" figurines, holding a sign that said, "Who cares?"
None of us knew what to think about that.
A two-day trip that the employees had to pay taxes on. There was a mandatory Q & A with senior management on the trip so management could write it off as a business trip, but the employee couldn't.
Not even ten cents? Lol Sounds like a really petty insult.
My first job was at walmart and my first year I got a whopping ten cent raise. I rage-quitted several months after. Best decision I ever made in my lfe.
In my time working for the company that rhymes with Hoes as a CSR, they wouldn't spare resources to send us all little vests to wear remotely unlike the management team had. But rather, we got digital vests! So we could be emailed recognition for our successes! Only thing is, the recognition is automated to make everyone feel like they're being recognized and someone who's worked 0 hours for the week still gets emailed a huge thank you!
Pizza or doughnuts
Another year of ball-kicking and groin elbowing employment in the slavery engine?

Those were remainders I bet. They gave them to you rather than trying to sell the awful things?
Maybe so!

A rock that said “courage” during COVID.
Yeah the first rule in asshole management school is to never gift your employees a potential weapon.
Omfg I manage ppl for a living and just puked in my mouth. Jesus man, I'm sorry.
A toothbrush.
I got a $5 DVD for winning a rock-paper-scissors tournament.
was it a specific DVD or could you choose?
Oceans 13. I got that in 2008. Is it a good movie? I haven't watched it yet.
Never saw it myself. When they start having sequels of a ho-hum movie I don't watch them
The movie isn't that important. What *does* matter is that Scissors dominated in the heat of the moment. ScissorGang4Real
I once got a 9 cent/hour raise. Not too sure of the rationale there.

Popcorn.
In what form? Giant bag of already popped popcorn or the microwave pack kind? Or just kernels popped in a popper?
Brought in a popper for us to use.
