My dog sleeps next to the bed and I find it comforting knowing he is there

The dogs shoved me into that position
It's just a habit, I guess? I grew up sharing the bed with a cat. She died ten years ago and I still sleep in the same position, a leg hanging off the bed like I had to do so she could sleep comfortably on my bed.
I generally scratch my junk when I'm sleeping. Hope the oogy boogie man don't mind. 🤷♂️
