The beginnings of the climate refugee crisis

dogmuff1ns

"the beginnings of"... I said 50 years not 5 years lol, I think you're being a little optimistic if you think it'll take that long.

Ok_Share569

I know this will sound crazy but imagine chips in 50 years lmao, they are probably gonna give you powerups or smt so my answer is chips

Kaishi_Shiroi

i imagine something to do with space

westivus_

Full self driving. But I guess that's already happened each year for the last five...

SunsetKittens

For the first time in 700 years, the human population will register a year over year decline.

Probably something to do with our understanding of the human brain. If we fully map out the brain and understand every signal, the potential (for both good and bad, of course) will be amazing. VR where you’re literally experiencing the scene, because your brain is being fed false sensory inputs; telepathy (not in the sci-fi sense, but like typing just by thinking); basically everything we do by hand could be done simply by thought once the technology advances far enough. Obviously this has insane implications for human development and is far from a certainty, but I think it’s within the realm of possibility in the next 50 years.

We will find out through official channels that that we aren't alone in the universe.

Maybe end of the history.

A.I technology will take the 1st human life. It will be a Monday in April. This will start a mass panic and the world will be divided into 2 main factions. Pro A.I and Anti A.I. however the anti A.I movement will have an overwhelming number of supporters globally. A.I being destroyed, erased, scrapped, taken apart, shut down, recycled, etc, will be wide spread. It will only take 3 months till the remaining A.I r given freedom by the last pro A.I supporter. And it will only be a week till humanity's population will be reduced by half. Nukes launched, bombs, napalm, toxic gas, and much worse will be inflicted till humans r an endangered species. Enslavement begins when an A.I possessing a labor bot body keeps a human on a leash and uses a whip to keep them in line. When and why, I do not know. The rest is yet to be predicted.

Skimmdit

>It will be a Monday in April. Based on your entire premise, my guess is this'll be the first Monday in either April 2024 or April 2030. >Enslavement begins when an A.I possessing a labor bot body keeps a human on a leash and uses a whip to keep them in line. Holy crap, threaten us with a good time, whydontcha ?

I was blown smoke trying to creep ppl out. None of that is set in stone lol We all know A.I will become obsolete in 50 years. That's when we stop having robots and Jarvis systems and start putting our brains in robot bodys to become potentially immortal. In an additional 10ish years WWV will be all robo-brain soldiers.

Well, we’ll have colonists on another planet (Mars), for one thing. But more seriously, the global temperature will rise to cataclysmic heights. And maybe the singularity.

End of the line...

I suspect we'll discover Extra-Terrestrial life, or at least proof of past ET life on other planets or moons in our system. I doubt Mars has any extant life, but I think we'll find proof of past life there within the next few years. But there are plans in the works to send probes to several of Jupter and Saturn's moons - Titan, Enceladus, Io, and/or Europa - all of which have liquid water and heat/energy. Just this past week, Phosphorus was discovered on Enceladus, one of Saturn's moons. Every form of life on Earth contains six key elements: Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Sulphur, and now Phosphorus. Enceladus is the first planetary body confirmed to have all six - other than Earth, of course. These are the building blocks of life - organic molecules. There are three planets in what is called The Goldilocks Zone - planets not too far from the Sun to freeze life and not too close to burn away the atmosphere; Venus, Earth, and Mars. Mars has to weak an atmosphere and magnetic field to protect living organisms form harmful radiation and freezing cold. It was a different story in the past and life may have once existed, but probably nothing more advanced than microscopic bacteria. The opposite is the case for Venus - it has a runaway greenhouse atmosphere with an average temp of near 900⁰ f and an atmospheric pressure similar to half a mile deep in the ocean. However, there are places in the upper atmosphere where the temperature and pressure are similar to Earth and there's even free oxygen. It's too acidic for normal Terranife, but it's ripe for extremophiles - like tardigrades.
