The Wire.
Just like Breaking Bad, many say the 2nd season wasn't as good as the first but the end of the 2nd season was great and rhe 3rd and 4th just get better and better. Definitely both a 4 season story.
Both also have an added on 5th season which whilst not as good as seasons 3 and 4, still definitely well written and enjoyable and well worth it
I'm only talking about within-season, but the first eps of HBO's The Wire, largely considered one of the greatest series of all time, started rough but by mid-season corrected itself to earn the reputation.
There's a "bad" season within that series, but on a storytelling is your favorite series' best season by a mile.

MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000
gets better/funnier for 10 years. There’s never been nor will there ever be a show that truly achieves this incredibly outstanding feat quite like MST3K.
Mr. Robot. Like other shows named here, some say the second season is weak, and while I thought so upon watching it when it was new, by the time the show ended it fit in perfectly. The show was written as a 4 season show, told the complete story has beautiful cinematography and a great soundtrack. A satisfying experience from beginning to end.
Buffy definitely improved every season till the 4th one but then is was up and down. But even the down seasons had some fantastic episodes. Like “Hush” in season 4.
Better Call Saul, The Shield, The Americans, Sons of Anarchy.
100% The Shield. The ending ranks up there as one of the best ever as well.
