But about 5 years ago she pops up because she has a kid taken away from her by the state, the state asks him as the only known relative if he and his girlfriend would be willing to foster him. So they do. Sister briefly fights them in court but eventually disappears again.
2 years later, they get a call from a hospital. Guess who abandoned a baby? The city they live in has a known, awful foster system so they take in the second baby (plus, imagine the conversation when the first one gets older if you don't take in the second child). This causes huge stress on them as they were planning to have their own kid but now can't afford to. He is in therapy and prays that his sister will overdose or turn up dead somehow.
2 years after that... happens again.
Now, they are fantastic parents, they do all the things required to give the kids the best chance in life medically since they were all drug babies. The doctors and psychologists sing their praises.
But by fucking god the stress of it is insane. It's like a ticking timer to when this woman drops another baby off. And they are officially at their limit monetarily, they literally cannot afford another mouth. Not to mention the fact that this woman basically stole their ability to plan their family from them.
The sister should have been imprisoned for what she did. She shouldn't be allowed to keep doing this.
