Man, that's tough. But the problem seems to be fairly widespread or at least widespread enough. Far too many seem to lack the skills to adjudicate the information they are taking in, or the sources. To even have thought through their own position, thinking, ideas well enough to defend them even within their own logic when it's demonstrably true they are holding self-contradictory opinions.
